She paused then continued, "They promised us that they will protect us at all costs. But then came our biggest obstacle," she hissed in disgust. "Shadows. They were made to destroy every living creature. They were made out of sorrow and sadness of people, we pixies were made from joy and laughter. Yolimers were half Shadow, half human. No one really knows why they were created until the king fell in love with one. They married each other and brought to the world the first Light after of course his majesty and his sister." She stood up and walked. She stood silent then continued, "You know Lights can't fall in love with each other. It's against their rules. When the first Lights came they set out some rules that should never be broken. But when the prophecy came out the king feared for his life. He hid his son away and nothing happened, so he thought that the Yolimer that told him about the prophecy lied. He begun hunting them one by one. He stopped when he saw his wife's horrified face."
"They kept arguing day and night until he killed her." She stopped as she looked around her pixie friends, then she looked at me with tears full in her eyes. "Alice, I was there when he killed her. I saw how petrified he looked when he realised that he killed his true love. He ordered his son to take his thrown. He then banished himself to live like a mortal and die so that he would be with his beloved wife. But his sister had other plans. When she knew about the incidence, about his banishment. She was furious, she took his son and raised him as her own. She told him about the prophecy and said, 'You must be careful. If the prophecy comes to life we are all dead'. That boy was your grandfather. His aunt never married anyone, she still lives her life until now like nothing happened. No one knows about the killing of the Yolimers expect her and the rest of the pixie kingdom. They thought that the Yolimers cease to exist. And about the banishing of king, only she knows and the rest of us, pixies."
"Your grandfather didn't know anything. Then he met your grandma. She was hiding as she thought he was going to kill her like his dad did to the rest of her family, but he didn't kill her. He fell in love with her." "Then you know what happened after that. But when your father fell in love with your mother, queen Madelia kept pestering your grandfather's thoughts. Saying that they'll be dead if your father and you mum fell in love with each other." "Wait, I remember one time there was a pulight before Alice," said one of the pixies. I stood up and asked, "What?! Where is she/he now?" She kept silent. "He was killed. The first pulight was killed miss Alice," she finally said. "WHAT?!" I shouted. "Is that what's going to happen to me? Get killed?" I asked. They kept silent, looking at the floor.
After some time, waiting for my answer Amy said, "If, that's if, you get killed, there will be another pulight. But we don't know how much time he/she will come to life." "Is some kind of a cruel prank?" I asked. "Because if it is, stop it. It's not funny anymore." "Alice, we are not playing a trick on you. We are telling the truth. The problem we have right now is to figure out the rest of the prophecy. If its meaning is literal or figurative," said Amy. "I have a question. If my grandma is a Yolimer. Why did she go with what my grandfather was doing? Why didn't she stop him and tell him what he was doing was wrong?" I asked. "Sometimes love blinds you, Alice. Your grandfather threatened her that he will leave her if she didn't do was he said," sighed Amy. "So what now? We wait till tomorrow to meet my 'family' and confront them?" I asked. "That's our only option." "Amy, why aren't you against the prophecy?" I asked.
"There's a line I have been keeping from you. Here's the full prophecy, at dusk the light will glow and the shadows will go as one. The Lights shall then fall to the one that claims the hall. The world will be dead as soon as they are in red. All at last in the final blast of the first one. Soon you'll know what it's like to be their foe. Then face the anger of the half Shadows and half lights. Hail to the Pure, who will save us from the lure." "That's more than a line!" I exclaimed. "Sorry?" shrugged Alice. "No one knows the rest of the prophecy except you and the rest of the pixies," said Amy. "The Lights don't know?" I asked. "See, the Yolimers could see the future. They knew that this would happen. So they said some of it to the Lights and the rest was said to us," said Amy.
"So I won't be the doom of the Lights!" I said. "Maybe? Maybe not? You can't be sure with these prophecies," said Amy. "What will I do tomorrow? Will they know that I'm a pulight?" I asked. "No they won't know that's if you show your glowing." "Wait! Neither Brian nor Jade. Heck, nor the rest of the Lightstringers, know about that," I said. "Don't worry. Every Lightstringer has a personal pixie. We simply let them know and if they don't cooperate then we'll enchant them. Only for tomorrow," said Amy as she looked around. I looked and saw some of the pixies looked content. I guess they haven't practiced their magic a long time. "Now. Go to your room. I got you a dress, so don't worry. Just sleep and think about what you will do tomorrow," said Amy as she pushed me out of their dorm. "Ok, this is it. Let's go back to my room. Wait, how do I get out of here? Amy?!" I bagged on the door. She send me to my room and left to sleep in her small room.
I woke up a little early. I was uneasy about that day. I wished everything goes with the follow. I wore a pink crop top and black leggings. I went down to the playfield to train for few hours. I trained with Jade. "Your legs are positioned wrong," she said as she positioned me correctly. She swung at me and I blocked but then she turned and tried to hit me in my side. I blocked her then made her trip on her legs. She fell with a loud thud. I helped her out then we completed with our training. As I was training I caught a glimpse of Brian coming down to the field. Jade took it to her advantage and kicked me across the chest. I fell and said, "Oh, you're so going to pay for that." I stood up and swung my sword at her. I kept swinging until I threw the sword out of her hand and cut her arm.
"I am sorry," I said as I looked ather wound. Her wound wasn't deep. "It's okay. It's a small cut. I'll get itcleaned, now go speak to him. He has been asking for you the whole night," shesaid. "Me?" I asked. "Yes, idiot. Now go," she replied as she pushed me. I wasnow in front of Brian looking like at 14 year old in front of her crush. Whendid it become this awkward? "Hey," he said as he scratched the back of hisneck. I chuckled a little at this gesture. The all might Brian Evans isnervous. "Hey," I finally said and saw him sigh a sigh of relief. "How are youdoing now?" I asked as I pointed at his bandages. He had bandages around hisneck and left arm. "Doing alright," he smiled shyly. "You were impressivethere," he said.
