"Yeah! I think so! Also! Have you read the powers? They can feel the slightest vibrations. They can lift 13 times their own weight. Just how?!" "Says the pulight that can literally do anything!" I glared at him then returned again to the book. "BRIAN EVANS!" shouted Linda. "Uh oh! You're in trouble," I said, not bothered to look up my book. "ALICE!" shouted Jade as Brian laughed. "Uh oh! Looks like you're in trouble too! And thank the Lights, Jade is not angry with me!" he smirked. "What do you mean by that?" I asked. "You little-! It has been four hours! HA?! Four hours! You need sleep!" said Linda as she pinched his ear. "Ow, ow, ow! What's that for?!" he demanded. "That's for making me worry like an idiot!" she said as her grip got stronger. I laughed at him, but then felt sharp pain in my ear. "The pure will meet their doom if they meet the dark!" shouted the sound. I started screaming as to why this sound was inside my mind. "Stop! Make it stop!" I shouted as I punched the air.
"Pure! Be careful of what you trust. Not everything is true and everything can be manipulated!" said the voice again. "Argh! Stop it!" I said as I fumbled around. The voice laughed then disappeared. I stood there clueless of what happened. "Hey? Hey! You okay? What happened?" asked Brian as he gently shook me. "I need to meet the yolimers, right now!" I said as I tried to run. "Hey, hey now! Calm down. What happened? Why were you screaming?!" he asked as he held my hands. I looked him in the eyes and I just couldn't tell him. "No- nothing. Just grandpa trying to scare me," I lied. He hugged me then said, "Oh thank the Lights. I thought it was something serious." "No-? Nothing like that," I smiled sadly. "Maybe it's because you're exhausted?" asked Linda. "Yeah! Maybe that!" I urged. "You sure you're okay?" "Yeah, yeah! Goodnight guys!" I said as I walked to my room.
That night I couldn't sleep well. I stared at the ceiling thinking, "Who was that? What did they want from me? Why did they just tell me that now?" These kind of questions were what raced through my mind. I woke up at 7 sharp, went to the bathroom brushed my teeth and took a quick shower. I went then to my wardrobe to choose what to wear. I chose an off-shoulder yellow mini dress with polka dots. I matched it with black sneakers. I exited my room and went to the kitchen. It was early in the morning, so it wasn't crowded. The pixies had cooked us a delicious buffet, so I helped myself to some pancakes and some oranges. After I finished eating I went to the playfield and stood by the stairs waiting for Brian and Jade. As soon as Brian noticed me, his eyes checked me out. He jogged towards me, "Wow! You're dressed to impress?" I laughed, "No? Why?" "You never wear these kinds of things, so I thought you might want to impress someone," he smirked. "Yes. I want to impress the queen." He pouted for a bit then said, "We should get going then." "What about Jade?" "She's sitting this one out. Gerald is still injured," he said as he wiped his sweat with a towel.
We walked to his room and he told me to wait for him. I sat on his white couch waiting for him to finish. Half an hour later, he was all done with neatly combed hair and a pair of jeans with a white shirt. "Ready?" he asked. "Let's get it done with!" I sighed. We walked outside the park and a car was waiting for us. "Hey? Who gets us the cars?" I asked. "Mostly pixies, but sometimes sightseers bring them to us." "Oh yeah. About sightseers, they're human but they can see our world? I mean the Lights, pixies and these kinds of things?" I asked as I entered. "Yeah. Sightseers were given this gift to help us. We're partially human but we still don't know how to deal with things." "Like?" "Hm? Like... Oh! There's this human's call Netflix? I heard that name a lot. I just want to ask, is it food? Or a famous person? What is it?" he asked as he started the car. "Net- Netflix?!" I laughed. "What?" "It's um-. It's an app that-." "What's an app?" "Application?"
"And where do you apply this application?" I was gobsmacked. "Where- what?! What are you saying?! An app! It's a software you download on your phone or computer or whatever device you're using!" "Oh!" "You don't get it, don't you?" I sighed. "You guessed it!" "Never mind Brian. I'll tell you later. We drove to the location in total silence. We stopped in front of two great mountains. We got out of the car and found a space to stay there until the time. "Are you excited?" he asked. "No? I feel like I already got used to this, that nothing can surprise me or excite me," I sighed. "Don't say that!" "Okay!" I chuckled. We sat there for two hours then the ground started shaking. "What's- what's happening?" "Their world is opening, I think?" "Brian! The sky!" I exclaimed as I pointed at the sky. The sun and the moon were beside each other, almost overlapping over each other. The ground shook violently, so I held on to Brian for support. Between the mountains an image started to form. A busy like city was the image. "Is that- their city?" "I think so?" Two guards came out then boomed with their voices, "Pure! The queen is expecting you!" I nodded then let go of Brian.
I looked at them then entered with them. Yolimers looked exactly like humans, except their yellow eyes. It was a city of wide avenues and small places to sit and eat, to relax as folk went about their day. Sellers standing with their goods shouting, "Krahar with only 22 Massi! Only 22 Massi." That meal looked like a pie of some sort with something red on top of it. I looked at the yolimers and it turns out Massi is their currency. It was Electrum coins. We kept walking until we were met by a castle. The castle was a tower of rock amid the jolly green, a fine accompaniment to the bonny foliage. It was built of stones of varying sizes and shapes, each one unique. The guards stood there and knocked on the castle's old door. The door opened and they stepped in. I ran after them then walked after them. In that grand entranceway, to greet the visitors, was the most monumental of chandeliers, the girth of a giant evergreen alight with electric flame. The deep brown floor shines as well any polished glass. There are flowers, beautiful, the perfect shade of orange to compliment the woody hues and creams. On closer inspection their stamens have been pulled to prevent even the pollen disturbing the perfect sheen on the mahogany pedestal tables.
We then entered the throne room. Itwas a long empty hallway with a chairthat was carved of a fine oak, crested with several jewels and decorativemetals forming an elegant coat of arms. There sat a fair skinned woman who hada possessed feel about her. She had an angular face with a square jaw, a broadnose, large ears and narrow lips. Her mustard coloured eyes were prominent. Shehas elbow-length, lank, pale grey hair which was brushed into an elegant bun.She had long arms, a lean torso, a narrow waist, wide hips, and long legs. Shewore formal blue dress with matching white heels. "The pure has arrived youmajesty," boomed a guard.
