"Why?! So you could kill them like his father did?!" she shouted. "I would never do such thing. I need to know where they are so I can fulfill the prophecy!" "Oh! The prophecy?! At dusk the light will glow and the shadows will go as one. The Lights shall then fall to the one that claims the hall. The world will be dead as soon as they are in red. All at last in the final blast of the first one. Soon you'll know what it's like to be their foe. Then face the anger of the half Shadows and half lights. Hail to the Pure, who will save us from the lure. Yes, yes! You need to meet a Yolimer. I can tell you because you're a pulight, but I can tell you only once. You need to figure it out yourself. Okay?" she asked. "Okay!" "Where the sun and the moon meet is where you'll beat. And find the shelter that covers all from short and tall. Then you can ask for advice to play the dice." "Why do you always say thing in riddles?!" I huffed.

"It's their nature. They can't tell you things straightly. They have to have some kind of a twist with it," answered grandpa. "There you go dear. Good luck with your quest!" she beamed. "Thank you grandma," I smiled as I kissed her forehead. I exited the house and waited for grandpa to exit to. "Why does she seem to get out of reality for a second then come back?" "Traumas? I think? She tends to have these episodes lately." "Maybe because the queen is dead?" "That's a good idea Brian. Maybe it's because she's dead?" "Or maybe because you fulfilled the first part of the prophecy?" "Wait? If I completed the prophecy that means she'll lose her grip on reality?" I asked, concerned. "A great theory, I don't know the answer to!" answered grandpa. "Well! We have to keep going! We need to solve this riddle as soon as possible. See you princeling," waved Brian as he took my hand and dragged me away. "Bye!" I shouted as I waved back at grandpa. Brian entered the car and started it and I sat beside him in the passenger seat. "Can we open the radio? Grandpa isn't here!" He looked at me then the radio. He sighed then said, "Do whatever makes you happy." "Yay!" I smiled. I opened the radio and found a channel that was playing a song by Billie Eilish.

"You know all the lyrics of the song?!" asked Brian astonished, as we stopped in a red light. "Yeah! That song was popular for weeks!" "I can guess," he smirked. "Hey? I need to ask you something!" I looked at him. He nodded. "How did you know I was your soul mate?" "I- oh look! It's green," he said as he stepped up on it. I waited a few minutes then asked again, "Brian? How did you know?" He didn't answer me. "Come on Brian! Who told you?!" I whined. "Stop," he sighed. "I won't stop whining until you answer my question," I whined again. "Okay then! Whine as much as you want. I won't talk," he said as he gave me a cheeky smile. I whined and whined until he gave up. "Okay, okay! I'll tell you, just stop whining!" he shouted. "Okay," I promised. "Your grandpa came to me when you were unconscious and told me everything. He told me that we are soul mates. At first of course I didn't believe him, but then I started to notice he was right. I have never felt about any girl the way I feel about you Alice."

"It's like every time I see you, I feel my stomach do these things that I don't know how to express." "Knotting? Butterflies? These kind of things?" "Yeah, something like that. And every time you look me in the eyes, I feel pressured. As if you're observing me." "Okay! I don't observe you, I just watch how amazing you are!" "That's exactly what I know you'd say. I'm worried that I'll never be as amazing as you think I am." "Hey! You're Brian Evans! I know who you are! Now, stop doubting yourself and continue driving normally!" I chuckled. "Hey! It doesn't matter to me you're a royal! I'm technically older than you, so have some respect." "But I'm bigger than you in rankings!" I protested. "Doesn't matter! What matters is the age!" "Argh, whatever," I rolled my eyes as he chuckled. "I heard that!" he joked. "Heard what?" I uttered. "Your eye roll!" "Eye rolls do not have sounds!" "They do!" "They do not! Eyes on the road Evans!" I shouted as he looked at for a split second. He chuckled, "Are you scared that we might get into an accident?"

"Yes! Now please! Eyes on the road!" I demanded. "Wow. You have no faith in me whatsoever, your majesty," he chuckled dryly. "I didn't say that! I would never." "Enough! I know your intensions!" he joked. "Brian? Are you teasing me?" I asked as I glared at him. "No?" he smiled sweetly. "Oh you-! I hate you!" I argued as looked out of the window. He laughed then said, "Sorry Alice. Couldn't help myself." "You're evil!" "Yeah. I'm sorry," he said as he held my hand. I jumped at the surprise contact. "Why- why- why are holding my hand?" I asked. "What? Do you want me to leave it?" he asked as he let my hand. "No!" I shouted. I cleared my throat then asked, "Could you please hold my hand again?" He chuckled then took my hand, "There! Happy?" "Mhm! And stop teasing me!" "I can't make any promises," he winked. We spent the rest of the ride in comfortable silence. We returned back to the lightpark and looked around for Jade and Linda. We found them in the common room of the medical compound.

"Hey? What happened?" I asked. "Geraldgot injured, so we brought him here," answered Jade. "Injured? How?" askedBrian. "I don't know. We were out and he was in his pixie form then alightarrow pierced through his left wing. I don't know who fired the arrow?!"she exclaimed. "Hey, hey! Calm down! We'll get to the bottom of it, okay?" Isaid as I patted her back. "I'll go ask around and see what people have beendoing during that time," said Brian as he took off. "Wait! I'm coming withyou!" I said as I ran after him. "What are you doing here?! Stay with Jade. Sheneeds someone with her," he said as he marched quicker. "BRIAN! Stop! We'll get to the bottom of this together!" I shouted. He paused then looked at me."I don't want you to get hurt," he sighed. "I won't get hurt," I smiled. Hehuffed then said, "Just so you know, if you do get hurt! I won't forgive myselfand I'll be mad at you." "Oh please! You can't be mad at me for a whole hourlet alone day," I teased. "Want to try your theory?" he smirked. "No! Thankyou," I quickly added. He laughed then said, "Okay. I'll go ask the east wing, you go ask the west wing?" "Okay. And if I find someone suspicious? What do Ido?" "Just send me a lightletter," he smiled. "And how do I do that genius?!" Iasked as I put my hands on my waist. "Like this," he said as he bent the lightand started to thread them into the shape of a letter. "There!" he smiled. "SoI just thread a pen with it and viola?! That's it?" I asked. "You don't need todo a pen. It can write whatever you're say," he answered. "How-? Oh," I said asBrian showed ne the paper. On it was written our conversation.
