"Welcome my child. We've been waiting for you," she said. I walked to her and one of her servants brought me a chair. "Thank you," I smiled, but the servant hurried away. "Are you ready for our talk?" she asked. "Yes your majesty." "At dusk the light will glow and the shadows will go as one. The Lights shall then fall to the one that claims the hall. The world will be dead as soon as they are in red. All at last in the final blast of the first one. Soon you'll know what it's like to be their foe. Then face the anger of the half Shadows and half lights. Hail to the Pure, who will save us from the lure. That's the prophecy," I said. "I certainly remember there's a line missing," she insisted. "A line missing? Again?!" "The pure will soon meet their doom." said the queen. "That's the line that's missing?! Wait! That- that means- I- I will die?" I asked. "Yes my dear," she assured. "I-. Why didn't grandma tell me that?!" I asked.
"We told her not to. We need to meet you first so we can decide, are you really the one in the prophecy or not. The pulight that came before wasn't the one that's in the prophecy. Although he tried his best, he wasn't the one." "And how do you know who's the one?!" "We do see all, don't we my child?" she asked as she tilted her head. "Then why weren't the pixies informed with this line?!" I asked. "They were informed, but we kindly asked the king to wipe their memories of that line. Pulights came before you and the Alexander. But they always asked us to see if they were to live after the prophecy was done. Unfortunately, we saw all of them die, so they simply didn't go on with the prophecy. They lived their lives and die of old age or from a disease." "I- Argh!" I sighed. "I know it's hard on you right now, but you're our last hope pulight. You're the last pulight to walk this world. Do you understand what I'm saying? If you fail to go on with the prophecy-." "What? What will happen?!" I asked. She sat there frozen for a minute then blinked. "And the pure fails to do all. Halves and halves will go to war. To the last one that's standing, may the light guide you to the yielding."
"They will go to war," I answered quietly. "They will go to war! And both of them will lose!" I shouted. "The world will end!" I sighed. "Yes my dear," sighed the queen. "Why? Why is this happening to me?!" I asked. "Because you were chosen my dear." "Chosen?! Why did you chose me?!" "Because you're the last pulight." "There's another reason as to why you chose me, isn't there?" The queen looked at me then to the floor. "What is it your majesty?" I urged. "Because you're special. You're not like the other pulights. You have morals while the rest didn't. You'd take the prophecy upon yourself, even though you know you will die in the end. You'll do it to make sure your loved ones are safe and sound." "How did you-?" "How did I know about your soulmate? Dear, I told you. We see all. If you were not to take the prophecy then you can live with your soul mate happy without any worries. You both will grow old and have children and grandchildren running around you," she smiled. "But at the same time the world would be ending, isn't that right?" I asked as she nodded. "I'm sorry dear. We know we're asking too much from you. Please forgive us for our doings." "It's okay. As long as the world will be okay, you don't have to worry about it. I will fulfil the prophecy," I sighed.
"And your soul mate. Will you let him know?" "No. I won't tell him." "Why?" "It'll be hard on both of us. He'd worry on me and I'd be worried for his worrying. It'll be too much of a burden to do." "Alright dear. Do what makes you feel at rest. May the Light guide you and be with you. You have our blessings for your war." "Thank you. I'll take my leave now. Goodbye," I said as I turned around to leave. "My child?" asked the queen. "Yes?" I said as I turned around. "The future isn't always right. You can change the future but never the past, remember that," she smiled. "Yeah! That's what they all said. Never mind, I really should go," I said as I got out of the realm. The portal behind me started to fade then it closed completely. "Hey?! What happened?! What did she say?!" urged Brian. "Huh? Ah! She said that I'm the last pulight and I need to save the world!" I smiled. "Oh thank the light! I was getting scared there. Then why did you take so long in there?" "She was just telling me about my grandma and grandpa." "Oh really?! That was thoughtful of her," he smiled. "Yeah," I sighed.
"Why did you sigh? Is there something wrong?" he worried. "No, no! Nothing's wrong. It's just- It was a lot. Let's just go back to the park?" He took my hands then said, "Let's go!" "God! I will miss him!" I thought. We walked back to the park. While on our walk back, we would occasionally take a break here and there. We would go to a fast food chain to eat something when we were hungry. At the night, we made it to the park. Brian walked me to my room and waved goodbye. That was the moment that I felt was unfair. I entered my room and cried myself to sleep. Eventually, I woke up to the sound of sharp knocking. "Alice! Wake up!" whined Jade. "What do you want?" I said, half asleep. "I want to talk to you!" she whined again. I dragged myself to the door and opened it then went back to my bed. She rushed in and started to tell about this guy she just met on her mission, I couldn't help but to zone out. "Alice? Are you even listening to me?" she asked.
"Hm? Yeah, yeah! Tall and handsome,go on." "You weren't listening, were you?" "Oh no! I was listening. You saidyou met him when he was fishing?" "He was cooking!" "Sorry, sorry! I wasn'tlistening carefully." She sighed then asked, "What happened yesterday?" "What?Nothing happened. I met the queen and she confirmed everything." "Come on! I'mnot blind! I can see something is bothering you!" "I-. I can't tell you. Evenif I tell you, what good will I gain from it," I sighed. She sat beside me onthe bed then hugged me. "Look! I don't know what it feels like to be under thatmuch pressure, but what I do know is that you'll get through it! You can do it!You'll kill the Shadow king and come back as if nothing happened!" she beamed. And that was what made me lose it. "Hey? Why are you crying?" she asked as shepatted my back. "I won't come back Jade. I won't," I cried as I hiccupped."What do you mean you won't come back?! AH! Don't say things likethat! It's a simple mission! You'll go kill the king and come back." "No! It'snot simple," I sobbed. "I- I- I'm destined to die!" I sobbed.
