Fred came from the kitchen and placed a tray full of drinks and snakes in front of us. He looked sad, then he took a sharp deep breath and said, "She died 2 years ago." "Oh, I am sorry. I didn't know," I said. Now, I was feeling awful. "It's okay. She asked for you, you know. When you left, she knew that you would eventually come back, so she knitted a scarf for you." He started to get up and move around the room. "Where did I put it?" he asked as he rubbed his temples. "Hey! Why don't know sit and I'll search around. How does that sound?" Tina gave me a side glance and Amy looked uncomfortable. "But I want to give it to you myself." "I promise that I won't look at it. Like that you would surprise me," I said and he nodded. He sat down at the rocking chair. I started to head to the stairs and I heard a conversation breaking through. "So Mr. Fred. How old are you?" asked Tina. "Tina!" whispered Amy. "I am sorry Mr. Fred my friend here lacks some manners."

I continued on with climbing the stairs. I searched everywhere but didn't find the scarf anywhere. I searched every possible room. Except, the attic. I was scared of the attic. I took a deep breath and started to ascend the stairs. The attic looked dark as usual. I don't know what I did put suddenly my hands glowed. I looked at my hand astonishingly that it glowed, but a lot of things happened to me in the past weeks so that didn't bother me much. So, I continued on with my search until I found an arctic coloured scarf. Blue was my favorite colour. I picked it up and smelled it. It smelled just like her, jasmine. I took and went down stairs. I closed my eyes and knocked on the Livingroom's door. "Fred, did you mean this one?" I asked while still closing my eyes. "Yeah." I heard him finally say. I gave it to him and sat back down. Then I opened my eyes and looked astonished. "It's beautiful," I answered.

He chuckled and said, "Yeah, I know. It's such a pity." "What?!" I asked. "What?" he asked back. Um, why did he say that it's such a pity? "Um... Fred. You said it's such a pity. Why?" I asked. "Oh! You mean that," he asked as he looked at me in the eyes. His eyes turned completely yellow. He had a sour face and started to shiver. His face started to turn green. What was happening to him? "Amy?! What's happening to him?!" I shouted. "He's transforming into a geture," she said. Geture that name seems familiar where did I hear it before? Where? Oh wait! "Wait, if this is real then are there vampires, pixies, werewolves, and-." "Of course, they are real. You might meet one of the pixies here, in the common room. There's also getures." "What are Getures?" "They are vicious plant creatures, you don't want to meet." "OK!" He's a creature. No! Frederic Blackwell is an ordinary mortal, not some kind of a creature.

"Fred?" I asked him. He stopped shivering and fell to the ground. I kneeled down and said, "Fred? Are you okay?" "Alice don't touch him!" warned Tina. I was about to back away, but he grasped my wrist in his hands. Well, I wouldn't call them hands, they were more like claws made out of plants? "Fred! What are you doing?" I asked only to be met by the creature's chuckle. "Enough with that Fred. Fred is dead and so is his wife," smiled the creature. No! Poor old Frederic. He was like a grandfather to me. I brought him into this. If he didn't know me he wouldn't be dead. In a split second I was thrown off the creature. I found Tina standing in between us. "What do you want creature?" asked Tina as she bared her fangs out. The creature laughed and said, "Hold your horses vampire. I only want to drink from her blood." "What is up with people and drinking my blood? I can assure you I don't taste that good," I said as I backed away.

"Oh no! Sweetheart, your blood is the rarest blood out there. If one drank from your blood, they'll have the power to control all the creatures." "Plus, your blood is the sweetest out there. It won't hurt if I take some," he said as he tried to come at me. Tina held him from his neck and lifted him high. "Who send you?" she asked. "I wouldn't tell you bloodsucker," he spat at her face. "AMY!" shouted Tina. In an instant, Amy rushed to her side and shrunk into a pixie. She then started to thrown some dust and she recited things in her own language. The geture started to shake and scream. "What's happening?" I asked but the both of them ignored me. "Can someone please tell me what in the world is happening?" I asked but they again ignored me. I was about to shout at them but Amy changed to her human size and said, "We need go like right now."

"What is happening?" I asked. "I will tell you later. We don't have time to talk right now," she said as she grabbed my hands. "But what about Tina?" I asked. "She's going to be fine. Don't worry about her, worry about yourself. Let's go." I took one last glance at Tina who was now fighting the 'fake' Fred. I mentally wished her the best and then rushed out of the old house. "So what now?" I asked. "We go to your house and see if there's any clues. But we have to do it quick," said Amy as she looked around to see if there's anyone following us. I turned my heel to my house and walked to it. I breathed in and opened the front door. "Mum?!" I asked as I saw the figure in front of me. "She's not your mum," said Amy. "What do you mean? It's literately her," I whispered. The lady that was in front of me looked exactly like my mum. She was wearing her favorite blue sundress. "Lights before they die, they leave a fragment of their sprit. Everyone chooses the place that they want to leave their fragment, I guess your mother chose your house."

"Mum?" I asked again. "She won'tanswer you. I think that fragment is before she gave birth to you," said Amy."Lady Charlotte," kneeled Amy. Instantly, mum looked at her. Her face softensand said, "Dear Amy," she said as she stood beside Amy. "Who's this younglady?" she asked as she looked at me. I felt my vision blur, I knew I was goingto cry if I spoke. I looked at Amy with pleading eyes. "She's um your daughter,ma'am," said Amy. Mum's face lit up and she tried to hug me but she failed. "Mylittle baby is all grown up," she cried. I just stood there thinking sheremembers me. "You remember me?" I choked out. "Yes of course. But right now you'rein here," she said as she pointed to her stomach. I felt warm tears flowing onmy face. Mum stood in front of me and said, "I get that now you know what youare?" she asked. I nodded yes. "I hope you know I kept it from you to keep yousafe." Again I nodded yes. "Well, then. You're a pulight, Alice. Pulight arethe most dangerous creature out there." "But to be a pulight I have to be bornto 2 Lights," I said and she only chuckled.
