We spent training and training the next three days. We trained nonstop that that our weapons would fall out of our hands unintentionally. "Come on! Get up!" I shouted. "I literally can't feel my feet," replied Brian. I helped him up then stood there waiting for his attack. "Brian! Let's go!" "Alice! Can't we take a break? You've already defeated me thrice! That's enough training for the day." "No! It's not enough!" "What's not enough?! I think it's more than enough for meeting the Shadow king! And Alice? You haven't been eating nor sleeping well! What's happening to you?!" he asked as he tried to touch me. I yanked his hand, "I'm okay! Let's go again!" "No! I won't go again!" he shouted. "Well then! Anyone that wants to train. I'm here!" I said to the lightstringers that were around us. None of them moved. "I won't hurt you guys. I just- I want someone to help me with the training," I sighed. "Alice. You overworked yourself," said one of the lightstringers. "Look Dan! I do not overwork myself. I'm just preparing! And if you had the world on your shoulder, you would do the same!"

"No! I wouldn't be doing that! I would be meditating if I was on the same level as you. I'd be wanting to clear my mind," he answered. "Thank you for the advice Dan, but no thank you," I sighed. "Very well then. Feel free to do what you want," he shrugged. "So on one will train with me? Okay!" I shrugged. I went to the end of the field and trained there. Listening to every slash of my daggers. Visualizing how the scene will go and thinking of every possible solution to every possible problem. And thinking of a way to maybe avoid my death. After I finished my training, which was around midnight because nobody was present in the field. I went to my room then took a long cold shower.

While I was in the shower I tried to wake myself up, thinking this was all a nightmare and I was going to probably wake up from it, but every time I'm proven wrong. I exited the bathroom and searched the wardrobe for something comfortable. I found Brian's clothes when I slept at his place. I wore them then flopped on my bed. I sighed then stared at the ceiling. "God! Tomorrow we're going to the shadow realm. Let it be okay," I prayed. I woke up around 7 am, then went down to the kitchen to make some coffee. Everyone was so coped up with the things, they didn't even notice me. After I was done drinking that, I went back to my room and took a quick shower and wore white cargo pants with a baby blue blouse. As soon as I finished someone knocked on my door. I opened it to find Brian standing there, "You ready?" "Yeah!" I sighed. I closed my room and took a deep breath in. I went down the field where I found all of lightstringers waiting for me.

I descended the stairs then looked at them. "My friends, whom I know for a few months now," I joked as some laughed. "We're going to return with each and every one. No one is dying on my watch! This is just a small war, we can get through it. I'm sure you've seen worse?" I asked as some nodded. "I just need you guys to believe in yourself and don't hesitate, no matter how tempting it is! Now let's go kill the guy that caused us all of this headache!" "LET'S GO!" they shouted as I chuckled. The Shadow realm was said to be found underground. We had to get through the cemetery to get to the Shadows gate. We searched for a gravestone that had the same old writing as the one on our weapons. We found the gravestone we were looking for, it belonged to 'Emily Michal'. Brian read the engraving that said, "Warning! The Dark Lies Ahead!" As soon as he finished reading it, the gravestone crumbled and a staircase started to form underground.

I was the first to enter. I looked around for any traps but found none. I signaled to the others to come down. We walked around the darkness and emptiness looking for any Shadows. As we walked more, the air grew colder. "We're getting closer," I whispered. We kept walking until we were met with a wide room. I looked around for traps, and again coming empty handed. I signaled for them to keep moving. "Well, well! If it isn't the pure!" laughed the king. I signaled to the lightstringers to stop. We froze in our place until the king showed himself. He was 6'6, covered in grey smoke and his eyes were so white. He wore a black crown embedded with silver jewels. "And it's the coward king who couldn't even face me without an army," I scoffed. "How dare you talk to me like that pulight!" he spat. "Oh sorry your majesty. I didn't mean to get on your nerves," I rolled my eyes. "I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not. Either way, I'm flattered that you called me your majesty." "Let's just get this over with," I smirked. "I was starting to wonder when we shall start."

He marched up to me then struck his sword. I had so little time to react. The sword cut through my clothes and wounded my arm. Blood gushed out of the wound but it didn't heal and I was in pain. "What- how?!" I exclaimed. "Did you think you'd come here and see me unprepared? I fought your kind before and it certainly won't be my last when I end you!" he smirked. "Wait until you see what I can do!" I summoned the lightsoldiers. I weaved the Embeddedeye daggers and stood there letting the power consume me. My eyes turned white and lit up. I started to glow and hover. "Are you impressed yet?" I smirked. "How- how?!" he screamed. "It's a secret! I won't tell you!" I laughed. "SOLDIERS? ATTACK!" I shouted. The lightsoldiers marched to the enemy line and started the war. Lightstringers started to fight alongside them. The king flew away. I landed then looked at Brian. "Hey?" I smiled. "Wow! I mean what you just did!" he exclaimed. "We don't have much time," I chuckled. "Yeah...," he smiled awkwardly. "It's now or never!" I whispered to myself. I took the opportunity and kissed Brian.

The kiss was first gentle thenurged. He parted then stared at me. "Come back alive! Because we need to dothat again!" he smirked as he ceased my cheek. I smiled sadly then said, "Yeah.I'll come back." I let go of him and ran after the king. I found the kinghiding behind a pillar. I transformed back to my light appearance then shouted,"Come out you coward!" "I most certainly am not a coward!" he shouted."Busted!" I said in a singing voice. He walked up to me then scoffed. "You wanta fight? Let's fight!" he said. I closed my eyes and imagined an axe. An axethat would destroy that creature and when I opened my eyes there it was. Theaxe was in my hand its head was a wide, heart-shaped edge. The teak handle is29 inches was long and had an old leather grip. I knew at that moment that thatweapon would be the end of the king.
