"Ah! Yes, sightseers. He took her in and tended her wounds. Although she's a light and she can heal herself. She let him do it. Eventually, she fell in love with him and became pregnant," He said as he stopped talking and narrowed his eyes at me. I gulped thinking why is he looking at me. "She then gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. She told her husband about what she really is but the husband said that he'll love her no matter what she is." "You want to know the fun part," he clapped his hands. "Lady Charlotte was not dead all this time. She was living her life carelessly. But before long, the mighty Razz killed her. He killed her with his own hands then drank her sweet light," he said as he licked his lips. "But there was a tragedy. He couldn't get his hands on that little pulight. He wanted to suck her sweet Light just like he did to her mother. But he was unable to lay a finger on her."
"You want to know what boiled his blood the most?!" Razz asked. "Is that her daughter was concealed from him. The all mighty Razz couldn't find a pathetic little girl," he spat in disgust. "But one day he got wonderful news. The daughter was found safe at the Lightstringers' park. He got so excited that he celebrated his victory. That he finally found that little girl and he would end her and all of her bloodline." "You dare to bring my mother's name and take about her like that?! You ungrateful piece of-," I said as he interrupted me. "Silence pulight. I'm the only one here talking. Rom hold her and shut her up," Razz instructed Rom, but Rom remained still. "ROM? I am telling you to shut her up. Why won't you listen to me?" asked Razz again but Rom still didn't do anything.
Instead Rom fell to the ground. "You're messing something 'Razz.' If what you are saying is true that I am the daughter on Lady Charlotte, then you should be scared," I said as I rose to my feet. "Get her," demanded Razz but none of the Shadows moved, it was like they glued to the ground. "Tell me something Razz. How did you enter? I could recall that Shadows do not enter such places without being burned," I asked as I roamed around him. He too tried to move but failed. "Answer the question or your fate will be like your friend Rom over there," I said as I pointed to the figure that was on the ground. I didn't kill Rom. I just put him in a trance that would restrict his movements. That's why he didn't turn into nothingness. "Why would I tell you pulight?" he spat at me. "Now look at me," I said as I put my lips into a thin line trying to keep my anger and clenched my fists that my knuckles turned white.
"I am being very kind to you right now. Please answer the question or I'll have to force it out," I said as he let out a laugh. "Why would I take orders from a pulight? You don't scare me at all," he laughed. "But I bet this will," I said as I sped to him. "H-h-how did y- you do that?" he asked. "Now you're scared?" "We haven't got to my favorite part yet," I pouted. "And what is that favorite part of yours?" he asked, now full of confident but I could see how tensed he is. "This," I answered as the dagger appeared in my hand. Now, it glowed more brightly than before. "HOW DID YOU GET THAT?! Please don't do this," he pleaded. I zoned out thinking how I should kill that Shadow. I did kill that Shadow yesterday but I didn't feel good. It was as if I took its life. I don't like taking people's life. I was cut out of my thoughts by the figure that was in front of me. He resembled my father and said, "Alice please, don't do this." "And here I thought I was feeling bad for you."
"What are you talking about darling?" asked fake dad. "If you think this will trick me then think again you moron," I shouted. "Darling, you know it's not okay to call your father that," he answered. "Of course what was I thinking? Sorry. Dad," I said as I bowed my head a little. "It's okay. Everyone makes mistakes," he said as he tried to move again but failed. "You're right. But you want to know your mistake?" I asked as I looked at my fake father's eyes. "My father never called me darling. I was his princess, you idiot," I said as I lunged my dagger straight ahead. It landed right on his head, then his body did the same thing that happened yesterday. I stared at the nothingness in front of me. Did I just kill the man that killed my mother? My thoughts were interrupted when I found Jade screaming at the top of her lungs.
I looked around and saw that the Shadows were now fight the Lightstringers again. One of the Shadows were about to hurt her brother. He was too caught up with fighting other Shadows that he didn't see the one that was coming up from behind. I charged as quickly as possible, then sliced through the Shadow across its chest. It hissed then turned in to nothingness. I turned around to find Brian looking fine. But after a moment he fell on me. "Brian?" I asked but he didn't respond. I begin hitting his cheeks but they only got red and Brian didn't answer me. God, what is happening? Why isn't he answering me? I guess this is my life now. I should accept it. I screamed in agony, at the same time all the Shadows fell to the ground and turned into nothingness.
I guess that I killed all of these Shadows. But I somehow feel extremely guilty. I found all the Lightstringers looking at me, and Adalyn looked so guilty. She looked at Brian that was on my lap and she screamed. "Brian?" she asked in a hush voice. "I am sorry. I didn't know that will happen. I only told them to hurt her you," she said kneeling down to be face to face to him. I moved back and said, "You were the one who granted them entrance?" "I-I-I-," she said. "YOU BROKE THE RULES!" I screamed. She laughed and said, "You don't know anything about our rules." "Adalyn, she's a pulight," said one of the Lightstringers. "You believe that Shadow?" she asked. Everyone went silent. "That's what I thought," she finally said.
"I'm a pulight. If you don't believe me go ask Jade." "And why would I believe your little friends?" she asked. "Then don't believe them but explain to me how do I have Lady Charlotte's dagger? I did hear that it vanished the moment Lady Charlotte died," I said as I slowly got up. She looked at me and scoffed, "I don't know how someone like you have that dagger but that doesn't mean that you're a pulight." "How about this then?" I asked as I felt the heat engulf me. I know I am glowing but what I didn't know that Adalyn's face could do that kind of expression. All the Lightstringers immediately bowed for the down. "Please stand up," I said as I helped the nearest Lightstringer up. "That doesn't prove anything," she started to say.
"Oh, stop it with the act. Brian'sis unconscious because of you. And now you're denying that I'm a pulight evenwhen I showed you all the possibilities that I am a pulight? You're just being ridiculous,"I laughed. She just started at me. She was speechless. "To all theLightstringers, I am knew to this world. So, I practically don't know a lot ofthings about your rules. And please don't treat me like some kind of royalty. Iam just like you except somewhat special. Now, you may do anything to Adalynbut in the lawful way," I said as I looked at everyone. They immediately tookAdalyn from in front of me. She began to scream but soon she was out of thebuilding. Jade came running next to me check in her brother.
