Jazz's POV
I looked out of my window as I woke up and was greeted with a snow landscape. I stretched my bones and walked towards the window with my duvet over my shoulder. My eyes glittered as I saw the white mountains and the bare trees.
I smiled to myself and went to the washroom to do my business. I have some collage friends in Canada so it was easy to find a house. It's nothing fancy, just an average house in a neighborhood near the research center. I always loved these kind of houses, the once which give a warm, rustic vibe. Growing up in humongous mansion which was completely isolated, I always wanted to live in neighborhood where laughter of kids could be heard.
Making myself a berry smoothie, I stood by the window side, huddled in layers of sweaters, I watched the view in completed awe. Just then a snowball landed on my window, starling me. I tilted my head to see a bunch of kids with fear in their eyes. I open my wind exposing my bare face to the cold wind. "It's alright, have fun." I said smiling widely and they laughed continuing there snow fight.
I closed the window, and hugged myself tighter. The weather in Canada is way wilder than of NYC. I started the fire and sat beside it rubbing my hands together. I opened my phone to be greeted with a bunch of messages and emails. Keeping my texts for later, I started replying to official mails. After that was done, I opened the family group which was flooding with messages. I honestly didn't know what the fuzz was about, this group has never been this active before.
I scrolled by to the video and clicked on play. I laughed lightly as I saw what Jess and Leo did, those two are getting very dangerous these days. I laughed as I saw an fuming Jase chasing both of them. Yes, I did miss them, a lot. But this is what I always wanted. I always knew that I was going to be away from my family, I just loved freedom too much.
I do love being around my family but sometimes I just like being alone. I laughed at Leo and Jess's goofiness and decided to face time her. "Hey Jazz." And excited Jess greeted me. By the looks of the background, she was probably in the living room. "Hello baby, how are you feeling." I asked. "I'm good. Did you see the video." She asked smiling widely. "Yes, Yes I did." I said laughing lightly.
"Show me your house." She asked excited. "One minute." I said, turning to back camera, I walked around the house showing her everything. "Mom and I used to live in a house like this. She used love small, cozy houses." Jess said. Well I'm more similar to mom than I thought. Dad always used to say that I was replica of mom, not only in looks but also in character.
"Who are you speaking to." Jase asked dropping himself beside her. "Hey Jazz." He said smiling brightly. "Hey little bro, how did those Oreos taste." I joked. "It's not funny." He muttered while I laughed. "How's everything there." I asked. "Fine I guess." He replied causally.
"Okay, I got to go. Give my love to everyone. Bye." I said glancing at the clock. "Bye." "Take care." Jess and Jazz called out and hung up.

Jess's POV
After speaking to Jazz I went up to my room. It is soo boring inside the house, there absolutely nothing to do. I lazily went through my texts, when Aaron's name popped up. Widening my eyes, I picked up the call.
"Hey Aaron." I said. "Hey Jess, How was Florida." He asked. "Florida was.... adventurous." I said nodding my head. Yup, definitely adventurous. "Okay was there an attack." He asked. "There was, I got shot on my back." I said casually only to be greeted by silence.
"Aaron, hey are you there." I asked when he didn't respond. "When were you planning to tell me this." He asked in a shivering calm voice. "I wasn't planning to tell you actually." I said. "Okay listen." I said immediately, wanting to tell him everything. "I told Jem everything about mom, except the Enzo part." I said hurriedly not wanting to hear his lecture.
