Jessica's pov.
"Jess" a voice whispered, "wake up." I laid on the bed, which felt like clouds, not wanting to get up, it felt so comfortable. Wait, my bed isn't this comfy and what was that voice, who did it belong to.
"Jess, you have been sleeping for two hours, get up dinner is ready, and most importantly, Jem wants to see you." The voice interrupted my thoughts. Oh right, I'm at my brother's house. The recent events flashed back in my mind. I recognized that husky voice as Jule's.
"Five minutes, please." I mumbled in a sleepy voice, turning to the other side, I did not want to leave this heavenly bed.
"Jessica, wake up or you'll make Jem angry." Jule's voice came out so sternly. My eyes immediately popped open. Remind me never to get on Jule's nerves. Unwilling, I got put of bed and headed to the bathroom. I splashed cold water in eyes and my vision cleared.I was kinda both excited and nervous about meeting my other siblings. I sighed nervously as I dried my face. I went out and saw Jule sitting on my bed.
"Your a heavy sleeper, Jess, it took a good ten minutes to wake you up." Jule said. Ten minutes, wow. No wonder he lost his patients. "Sorry, I'm not usually a heavy sleeper, but I was really tired and the bed was extra comfy, so don't blame me." I said with a puppy face. I walked towards the door.
He chuckled at my reaction and ruffled my hair. "Heyyy" I whined smoothening my hair. "Okay, so beware of Jem's stare, he usually doesn't show much emotions." Oh wonderful, I have to deal with a brother who has a lion's temper and a brother who is emotionless, at-least Jule is nice.
As we reached the dinning room my pace slowed down, my heart was pounding on my chest. "Meet Jess everyone." Jule said cheerfully. My feet failed to move.
At the head of the gorgeous maplewood table, a man with brunette hair and hazel eyes sat, no emotions were visible. It was a pity because those eyes, they belonged to mum, the only thing missing was the twinkle of happiness in them. I guess this is my oldest brother, James.
Not wanting to look into into his eyes, I shifted my look to women who sat to his right. She was gorgeous with brown hair and hazel eyes. Tears started building in my eyes, she looked just like mom. The twinkle in her eyes, the small smile, everything. The only difference was her hair colour. I quickly blocked the tears away, I didn't want to be seen weak.
"Jessica it's good to see you again. I trust your flight was smooth." James stern and firm voice said. All I could do was stare at him. "It was comfortable, thank you." I replied, somehow finding confidence to meet his eyes.
"You have grown so much Jess, but yeah, it's been years since we have seen you." The women, how I think is Jasmine, said in a sweet and caring voice, she reminds me so much of mum, even her voice.
"Can we start eating I'm starving." Jule said rubbing his stomach and took a seat to the left of James, I didn't feel comfortable calling him Jem. "You are always hungry, Julian." Joy said as she entered the room. As she saw me, she came over and pulled me into a bear hug.
I was glad for that hug, it gave me so much of warmth, I returned with the same amount of force. I think Joy is my favourite. "Have a seat both of you , we'll start soon." James said as we both pulled away. His voice was a bit soft, but it didn't lack authority.
Joy took a place beside Jazz and I took the one beside Jule, across from Joy. I kept my gaze on Jazz, it was like seeing my mom. "Is Jase coming down, Joy?" Jule asked directing his gaze on her. "I think so." She said. "I hope so." She murmured after that.
"Your sitting on my seat." An angry voice said from behind. I turned my attention from Jazz to the source of the voice. A boy how looked so much like Joy stood at the entrance of the room, his eyes were fixed on mine, sending me draggers. Good to see you too brother.
