Jess's POV

I felt like I was dancing in the clouds of heaven. The house was absolutely breathtaking, it looked like an angel's aboard. Jem said that the exterior decoration was always done by the staff and the inside was all us. The theme for the outside was white and golden, so the walls were sparkling with white and golden lights and the layer of snow which fell on top added to it's beauty. It looked so peaceful and the green garlands which were hung up made it looked like a Christmas wonderland.

The inside was completely the opposite. Tall Christmas trees were placed and decorated in the wildest manner. The garlands which hung on the mantel and all the doors in the house. We mostly used the decorations which we found in one of the many store rooms but we obviously bought new ones. Why am I so excited now? It's Christmas Eve.

I'm sitting in my balcony which has a wonderful view of the woods and sipping hot chocolate which had cream and extra marshmallows and taking in the sight of the setting sun. "Jess everyone's down, come on." Jase's voice said behind me. "Oh I did knock, you didn't hear." He added after I turned to see him.

"I'll let it pass, let's go down." I said with a smile and walked down with him. "So what do you all to in Christmas Eve." I asked once we reached down. "First we bake cookies and then we go on a Christmas movie marathon." Joy said. "Oh by the way, we make a lot of cookies and I mean a lot." Enzo said nodding his head. "The more the merrier." Jazz said.

"I have news." Jazz said getting up. "Is it good or bad." Jase asked as he dropped himself on the sofa. "I depends on how you take it." She replied playing with her fingers, her face was strained and her smile looked more forced. "Well go on." Jem encouraged.

"I got a job offer." She said slowly. "Well is it good." Joy asked. "Yes more of experiments and surgeries and more pay too." She replied, her eyes glittering in happiness. "That's good, it's what you always wanted." Jule exclaimed with a wide smile. "There is a catch isn't there." Jem said. "Yea, it's in Canada." Jazz said and everyone one became silent, their smiles dropping.

"Have you accepted it." Sal asked with a worried look. "No, I'm still thinking. I'm so sorry to ruin the Christmas Sprit for you all but, I thought it would be better to tell you now. Oh and the good news is, I have till March to decide." She said. "Till March, isn't that to long." Sal asked surprised.

"Well my contract in the hospital is till March, so yea." She said. "Jazz this is what you always wanted, you should go." Joy said getting up. "We'll think about this later, you have time, a lot of time. Let's get baking." Jase said in a cheerful voice which bought back the smiles.

"Okay so we usually make 5 different types of cookies in 5 batches." Jem said standing in the center. "Woah, that's a lot." I exclaimed. "Yes, it our Christmas gift to the children's shelter. Mom loved to bake, so this eventually became a tradition." Jule said. "Right so we divide in teams and we can go wild. So there will be two of us in each team and the last one we bake together." Jem finished.

"Okay so Jess, you have the honor of choosing first." Jule said in a fancy accent and I giggled childishly. "I'm with Jazz, since she is the only one who cooks without messing my face." I said looking at Jazz who smiled widely at me. "Me and Enzo." Jase said and did his bro hug with Enzo. "Absolutely not, the last time you bought were in a team, you burnt the kitchen. Jase is with Sal and Enzo is with Jule." Jem said sternly.

"So it's me and Jem." Joy said showing a thumbs up. "Enzo, Sal, Jule and I are in one kitchen and you all are in the other." Jase said and pulled Sal and Enzo towards the right. "Best of luck Julian." Joy called out as Jule followed them. "I'll need it." He replied.

"So I'm stuck with all three all you." Jem said eyeing us three. Just then loud rap music filled the house. "Okay let's have a condition, we don't ask anyone a questions." He said. "No we have a lot of questions to ask you, come on." Joy said pulling his arm while Jazz and I followed laughing.
