Jessica's pov.

I woke up to the annoying sound of my alarm clock. The early morning sunlight splashed through my white curtains and lid up the entire room. The tiny colorful glasses in the ceiling hanging reflected the light and made my room look like heaven.

Last night after having the rules talk with Jem, I had trouble sleeping. Firstly it was a completely new place and most importantly, my mom of not there to give me goodnight kisses. I sat up and twisted my body in awkward angles.

I got up from my bed and and my legs dragged my sleepy body to the bathroom to do my business. After a wonderful hot shower with my favorite lavender body wash, I walked into my closet.

Yesterday, I didn't check it out because I was so tired and exhausted. Wow, was all I could think of. It had a white marble theme and looked fit for a princess. It was beautifully decorated and the vase of fresh roses in the middle was definitely the cherry on top. Why is everything in this house so big.

Most of the cupboards were empty, I wonder how I'll fit in my clothes. Don't get me wrong, I have a fair amount of clothing and shoes but to fill in all tis space was next to impossible. I has start arranging my stuff here, oh lord how much I hate arranging and organizing.

With that thought in mind I dressed up in high waist black denim shorts and a causal white t-shirt. I put my hair into Dutch braid and headed downstairs for breakfast. I felt weird walking through these long silent hallways, it was completely different back home.

Mom loved listening to song, she said and I quote, 'Peaceful songs are the fuel for my brain.' I used whine about it every morning, but now I just want to see the sight of her standing in the kitchen and humming a 90s song.

Loud noises came from the kitchen as I started climbing down the stairs. I was welcomed into by the delicious aroma of blueberry pancakes, my favorite. Jazz was sitting in the head of the table engrossed in a book and Jase and Joy were arguing about something. Jem and Jule were nowhere to be seen.

Jazz was dressed in a beige floral dress, while Jase and Joy were still in there sweats. "Good morning." I said cheerfully. "Morning Jess." Joy replied sweetly. "Good morning Jess. I hope you slept well." Jazz said as he closed the book she was reading. "It was pleasant, thank you." I replied politely and placed three pancakes on my plate with maple syrup and fruit.

"Do you both decide what wear." I asked Joy and Jase, they moth were dressed in grey adidas sweatpants and black t-shirts. "No, it just twin telepathy." Joy said shrugging her shoulder while Jase had his smirk.

"So Jessica, what are you doing today." Jase asked me causally. "I don't know. And I will really appreciate it if you don't call me by my full name, Jason." I said locking eyes with him. "Okay tiger, calm down." He said with a smirk. "Now if you'll excuse me ladies, I have some work to do." With that he left the kitchen.

"Jess, I'm so sorry I haven't introduced myself properly. Anyway, I'm Jasmine as you already know, but you can call me Jazz. I'm surgeon, so you might not see me all the time. I'm kinda free today so I was guessing I could spend the day with you." Jazz said warmly.

"I would love to spend the day with you, Jazz " I replied. "Joy, you wanna join." I asked. "I would love to, but I already have plans, you guys have fun." She said and left the kitchen but not before giving me her bear hugs.

"That's wonderful, how about I first show you around the house, and after lunch we can go for shopping and maybe some ice cream." Jazz said. "Yes, that will be wonderful." I replied cheerfully and finished my breakfast.
"Wonderful, let's start the tour." She said clapping her hands.

I laughed and followed her out of the kitchen. Jazz led me to the living room where I have already been in. Although it sparkling clean like the rest of the house it still had a homely vibe. Scattered books on the tables, headphones on the sofas reminded me that, even though they are loaded and different, they still are a family.

"The first floor was where our rooms and some guest rooms." Jazz said as she we walked. The corridors were decorated with some painting which looked so beautiful. "Do you like them." Jazz said pointing at the paintings The second floor had a library, a gym and a music room. they were obviously big like the rest of the house. After that Jazz took me to the backyard garden filled with white and red roses, pink dahlias and a pinch of with and red hibiscus was scatter through.

"Wow, this place is amazing." I exclaimed mesmerized. "Who takes care of it." I asked. "The house keepers mostly do the job, but Joy loves to help around. You can help if you want." Jazz said. "I would love to. It is so peaceful here." I said admiring the beautiful view in front. Jazz smiled "I want to show you something. Follow me." she said and started walking towards a Autumn Higan cherry. I quickly followed her taking in the amazing aroma around me.

Jazz ran her hand on the tree's strong brown bark, smiling to herself. I suddenly noticed engraving on it's bark. "Is that..." my voice trailed. "yes, it's all of our names." Jazz completed for me. "We all wrote our names when we turned ten. Now it's your turn." she said softy and handed my a sharp marble stone.

"Is it a custom or something." I asked while engraving my name. "no, its just for fun." She said laughing lightly. " It was mom's favorite tree." she added softly. a tear rolled down my chin as she said those words. I quickly wiped it away and finished writing. "Jess" Jazz said softly as she cupped her cheeks. "It is not week to show your emotions to people you trust." her was was as sweet as honey. I nodded not knowing what to say but I let my tears flow freely.

"We missed you so much, bambina. I am so happy to have you back." She said placing a kiss on my forehead. I wrapped my hands around her and cried, i hadn't cried like this in like forever. Jazz ran smoothing circles around my back to calm my down. Not a thousand words could explain the amount of emotions I felt. Jazz was so much like my mom, her face, expressions, actions, hugs, kisses, everything . "You are so much like mum." I muffled into her sweatshirt and slowly met her eyes. "I know." she said in a whisper.

We headed inside for lunch and I was surprised to see Jem sitting at the head of the table with a laptop. "Hey there Jem" Jazz greeted him and took a seat next to him while I maintained a blank face. "Hello to you both too." he replied still keeping his eyes glued on his screen. I took my seat next to Jazz, "is anyone else joining us." I asked. "Jule is dealing with some clients and I think Joy and Jase have gone out." Jem replied. I nodded and started eating my lunch.

"So did you like the tour, Jess." Jem asked. "Very much. Specially the garden." I replied with a wide smile. "Glad you like it. So what are your plans for the rest of the." He asked. "We were planning to go for shopping later so we won't be there for dinner." Jazz replied. Jem nodded and continued eating. "Jem, what about school." I asked. "You will be going to same school as the twins, St. George's. Jazz get her school supplies today. You will be joining from next week, Jess." he replied.

"Okay." I replied and finished my lunch. "Now I have some work to attend to. Have nice day you two." Jem said as he got up. After lunch Jazz took a dark blue Audi Q8 and went shopping. Honestly the garage was like a exhibition of expensive cars. We went to a mall and got into business. After what felt like a shopping marathon, honestly Jazz made me buy everything and didn't even glance at the price tag, we went to dine in McDonald's. It was one of my best times in my life, we chatted lot and Jazz was filled with humor. Finishing the day with BR ice cream in the cold night breeze we headed home.

It was a bit late when we arrived and no one was around. Jazz helped carry the plethora bags to my room and I wrapped my hands around Jazz. "Thank you Jazz, I really enjoyed getting to know you." I said with a squeeze. "I'm glad Jess." she said and kissed my forehead. "Now go to bed, little one, it was a long day." she said and left my room. I changed into my pj's and jumped into bed. My body welcomed the softness of the sheets and it was not long before darkness engulfed me.
