Jess's POV.
I walked out of the campus with Sophia and Grace to parking lot. To say that the day was exhausting was an understatement, it was horrible. After the lunch I had an hour class of physics where my wonderful teacher sang a lullaby of Newtons laws of motion, which was very interesting. Do me a favor and note the sarcasm.
I bid my goodbyes to my new friends and walked towards Jase who was leaning against his red car typing away on his mobile. I cleared my throat and Jase lifted his head. "What took you so long." He asked standing straight. "School ended only five minutes ago, Jason." I replied rolling my eyes.
"Whatever, get in." He said and we got inside. "Aren't we waiting for Joy." I asked as he starts the engine. "Study group with Laura." He replied. "Listen, Luke is coming over, so don't bother me today." Jase said keeping his eyes fixed on the road. "Gladly." I replied and turned to face the window.
"So how was your first day of school." Jase asked, his voice a bit more friendly. "I hate physics." I said, I must have sounded like a child complaining out candy flavors. "Really, so you are a bit like me." He said and turned to face me for a split second.
"I swear to God Jase, the entire tree should have fell on Newton's head instead of an apple." I said to which Jase threw his head back and laughed. "Hey, eyes on the road." I said and punched his arm lightly. The rest of the ride was filled with small talks and heartily laugh. Jase was not that bad when he is in a good mood, which was very rare.

It is evening now, and I was doing my homework when I heard a knock on my door. "Come in" I said and Jule came inside. "Hey cupcake, how was the first day of school." He asked ruffling my hair. "It was nice, and please don't ruffle my hair Jule." I said with my puppy eyes. "Please don't give those eyes Jess." He said covering his face with his palms to which I laughed my heart out.
"I heard that you don't like Physics." He said sitting on the edge of my bed. "It's not I don't like physics, frankly it is kinda interesting, but you know how they say, everything has a limit." I said to which he hummed in response.
"By the way, Jem has called you to his voice." He said and got. "Can I please come after I finished this sum, it is the last one." I said. "Ya, that won't be a problem." He said laid back on my bed with his hands under his head let out a sigh of exhaustion.
Not wanting to disturb him, I quietly did my work. After finishing it, I walked over to by bed and saw Jule peacefully sleeping. I always felt that my siblings over worked themselves, so I walked outside my room and him continue his slumber.
I made my way to Jem's office downstairs and knocked on his door. After a quick come in, I went inside. "You wanted to see me." I asked politely. "Yes, just to know how school was, have a seat." He said and motion to the black couch and I did as I was told.
"How was school, do you like it." He asked politely. "It was nice, I made friends." I said to which he hummed. "Listen Jem, two of my friends are boys." I confessed but as usual Jem had his blank face. "I haven't broken any rules, you said no boyfriends and they are just friends and it will always be like that." I said in a calm a but serious voice.
"As long as it remains like that it won't be a problem." He replied calmly. "I have heard that you don't like physics that much." He said with a hint of mischief in his eyes. God does everyone know, I sighed. "It's not I don't like it. It is quite interesting but when it goes overboard, then my brain can't absorb the information in a proper manner." I said. "But I'll make sure that my grades are good." I added quickly, wondering if it was related to that.
