Leo's POV

Fear. The wave of these four letters flowed through my body and settles in the depths of my heart. But I wasn't scared of what will happen to me, I was scared for all those going in this war, my family, my cousins, friends and everyone in our mafia. I also fear and pity the for our people's families, they are completely in darkness, having no clue what is going to happen to their loved ones.

All of our allies have reached, and everyone is gathered in the head office going through the plans and strategies. In the past few days, Jem had reached out to almost all the Mafias in the world about this situation, apparently we aren't the only once who have beef with the Russians. United we stand, divided we fall. This was what build our family, our great-grandfather based everything on family loyalty and respect, everyone in our family has always kept that honor.

Currently sitting on the couch, not hearing anything Jem is saying, my mind drifted to Grace and Jess. My childhood best friend and my cousin who is more like my twin. I do love all my cousins and brothers equally, but the bond and understanding I have Jess is something completely different. I have known Grace since kindergarten, we have always argued and fought for the most silliest of reasons, and now without those quarrels, life is so dry.

I haven't seen Enzo since I arrived here, he just disappeared in this air with a simple message saying he needs some space. Jem and Jule were beyond furious when he just left with a simple message, but they had more pressing matters at hand.

An internal debate of whether to tell Jem about Enzo or not was running in my mind. But how can he be behind this, it's just so unbelievable. That man was the one who used to give me bubble baths, play hide and seek and help me plan all my pranks, he is my older brother. My thoughts became distant and I drifted off to a blank space, not thinking or feeling anything.

"Leo" A faint, muffled voice zoomed through. "Leonardo snap out of it." A harsh tone replaced the one before, and the white space drained off. I shook my head and blinked rapidly to get my mind and senses back. "What is up with you." Jem asked and I lifted my head to meet sharp hazel eyes. I took a large breathe and exhaled slowly, with my eyes closed softly.

Slowly opening my eye-lids, I noticed the room was empty, hence I was left with only James. I averted my gaze to his and started deeply into his hazel orbs, wondering if I should tell him or not. He crouched down to my level, and ruffled my hair like he always used to. "Hey buddy, you can tell me anything you know." He said offering a small smile.

"James." My voice came out raspy causing me to clear my throat. "You know when Jess and I told you about Aunt Natalia, Jess told she will tell you something else when the time comes." I said slowly, while he nodded signaling me to continue. "Well I think I should tell you now." I said more to myself.

"It's about Enzo." I said, lowering my head slightly, not wanting to see his reaction anymore. "What about him." Jem asked. "He-he is working with the Russians." I said in low voice, the statement so foreign to my tongue. Silence was all that I could hear, so I slowly lifted my head and saw Jem sitting there unaffected.

"Leo I know this is not a joke. But how did you come to this conclusion." He asked, his eyes emotionless as usual. "The evidence is in Jess's laptop." I said. "James I know how hard it is to believe this, but I saw the video clipping, Enzo was talking to Yahontov guy, and it looked like they were friends." I said hurriedly, not knowing how to convince him.

"Not everything is what they seem." He said, I could feel the anger radiating from his body, but I knew he would never hurt me. "That's exactly what Jess said, that's why she didn't want you all to know until she was sure. Before she was kidnapped, she confirmed it, but she was blinded by pressure and anger so she didn't bring it to your notice." I said and paused.
