Dad walks with me to the car and he stops when I'm in front of my car. "What are you going to do now?"

"I'm meeting Ronnie for a drink and then I'm coming home to get ready for dinner with Eliza."

A smile spreads across his face. "That's right. I nearly forgot about that with the commotion of things that has happened this afternoon. Don't be too long with that guy or you're going to be late when it comes to picking up, Eliza. That girl doesn't deserve to wait too long for a guy like you."

Throwing my head back I laugh. "Good one old man. I'll see you when I get home." I climb into the car and head over to the hotel.

At a stoplight, I send Ronnie a message.

Me: I'm heading to the hotel now. Meet me at king's lounge.

In the hotel are different lounges and the King's lounge is my favourite. It's for people who have money. If I went into the other one I would see people I went to school with, in there and I don't want to be seen by them.

Five minutes later, I'm pulling in front of the hotel and the valet takes my car from me and they give me a card with the number where they can find my car in the parking lot.

Walking through the doors of the hotel I'm greeted by familiar people. I quickly bypass them and head towards King's Lounge. Before I can enter the lounge I hear someone call my name. Turning around I see Mischa Coleman.

Her hair is pinned to the top of her head. Her smile doesn't quite reach her eyes and she looks tired.

"Are you okay?"

She shakes her head. "I haven't been sleeping properly. The people in the room next door keep banging against the wall with the bed and when they have sex they're too loud."

I feel bad for her. But, that's what happens when you organise a reunion and all your classmates are staying close to you.

"Can you tell Ronnie to keep it down with his wife? Just because she's a screamer doesn't mean the rest of the world needs to hear it."

Throwing my head back I laugh. "You know I can't make Ronnie do anything. When it comes to him it's like asking a dog to sit. You need to train it and he's not trainable by any sorts."

She knocks my shoulder slightly. "Thanks for nothing." She walks away.

When I get to the lounge Ronnie is sitting at the bar ordering two drinks. Looking around the room I don't see his wife.

Where's Nina? It's hard to see him without her being around the corner.

Entering the room I walk over to him and say. "Hey, Ronnie. Where's Nina?"

"She's in her brother's room. They're all coming up with some plan to see their parents, but they think the reason why they can't see them is because Eliza won't allow it to happen."

That's bullshit. She wouldn't keep her siblings from her parents. If anything's going on it would be her parents protecting her from them.

I didn't know things were this bad for the Donoghue Family. It shows you how often I'm around people from this place.

Ronnie slides the drink towards me. "I ordered this for you."

"Thanks," taking it from him I start to drink the beer. "Why did you want me to come here?"

"I wanted to find out how the bet is going? Are you getting close to breaking that bitch yet?"

I should have known it was going to be about this.

Crossing my arms I look into his eyes and say. "I'm not getting close to anything. We haven't had any dates yet. So, making it happen isn't going to happen as fast as you think."

"That's where you're wrong, Austin. She's in love with you now. Her feelings never dwindled when it came to you. Nina was the one to point it out to me."

It's going to be hard to fool him. Especially, with him staying in town a little longer than expected.

I just hope that some of her friends have left this town or she'll be getting updates on what I do every second of the day and I think it's a bad thing to happen to Eliza and myself.

After finishing my drink I slide a 50 dollar bill on the table. "I have to go. I'll see you later." I walk away from the king's lounge and head out the front door.

Handing over the card I wait a couple of minutes before my car is stopped in front of me.

I climb into the car and drive towards my parent's place. When I get home I head upstairs and have a shower. After I finish in the shower I put on a pair of pants and a shirt. Grabbing my phone I send Eliza a message.

Me: I'm leaving my parent's house now. I'll be there soon. x.

Eliza: See you soon. xoxoxo.

Climbing into the car I drive to her place. It doesn't take too long before I'm pulling into the driveway. I walk to the front door and knock on it.

Mr Donoghue opens the door. "Hi, Austin. How are you."

"I'm good." I walk into the house and wait in the living room for Eliza to come down the stairs.

Eliza walks down the stairs wearing a beautiful dress.

Looking her up and down, I let out a breath slowly. "You look amazing, Liz." I give her a bunch of roses and some chocolate.

She takes it from me and says. "Thanks, I'll put them in some water and then we can leave." Eliza walks out of the room and I hear her go through some cupboards and then the tap turns on.

A couple of minutes later, Eliza returns to me. "I'm ready."

Opening the front door we walkout. When we get to the car I open the door for Eliza and wait for her to climb in.

I walk around the car and climb in. Putting on my seatbelt, I start the car and head in the direction of my parent's place.

Eliza takes my hand as we drive towards the house. "How was your day?"

Smiling at her I say. "It was different then I expected."

"What happened?"

"As soon as I got home I went shopping with Mom. Got a few things for dinner and then when we were driving home there was a high pursuit and a Missing child. I found the child by the dam behind my house with a woman. Then the police asked me to come by to make a statement and I did that."

"Sounds like you had an eventful afternoon."

Turning towards her I say. "How's your mother?"

"She's good. The doctors keep checking on her every couple of months to make sure that she doesn't have a stroke again. Mom doesn't like me going into the room with her, but she likes it when someone is in the waiting room for her."

I pull the car into the driveway of my parent's place.
