When we get to the room Casey looks at me and says. "I need my phone. Can you get it for me?"

"Sure," moving over to her bag I grab her phone and give it to her. "Are you calling your mother?"

"Yes, can you give me a moment to talk to her? I should do this alone. Do you remember what happened when we told Mom I was pregnant?"

"Of course I remember that day. She was pissed that we weren't married first before bringing a child into the world. She also said the next time she sees me that there should be a wedding band on her finger too. I never did that and she's going to be pissed. I'll give you time to talk to her." Opening the door I walk out and head towards the vending machine. I pull my phone out of my pocket and call my brother.

The phone rings a couple of times before Calvin picks up.

Calvin: Hey, bro. What's going on?

Me: Casey's in labour. We're in the hospital.

Calvin: That's great. Why are you calling me?

Me: I'm calling to tell you what's happening. Can you come by the hospital tonight with some food?

Calvin: Sure, are you going to tell Mom?

Me: No, she's still not talking to me and Dad well...

Calvin: He never answers the phone. Which is why you never hear from him.

Me: True. I'll give you a call when my son arrives. I want you to be the first one to meet him.

Calvin: Okay, see you later.

Hanging up the phone I head back to the room. When I get there I hear the last part of the conversation. "I love you." She hangs up the phone and I walk through the door.

When I get close to the bed I look her over before asking. "How's you're mother?"

A smile spreads across her face. "She's doing well. She was away for the weekend and will be back the day after tomorrow. She's looking forward to seeing the new family addition." She holds her hand out to me. "Aaaah," she screams as a contraction hits her.

The nurse walks through the door and she gives Casey a gown. "I need you to change into these and then I'll see how far dilated you are."

"Okay," Casey stand up and grabs the gown from her. She starts stripping her clothes and puts the gown on. She climbs back into the bed and spreads her legs apart.

The nurse looks between her legs and tells her she's about. "You're about 7cm dilated. I'll come back in half an hour to check on you." She opens the door and walks out of the room.

Moving over to the chair I sit next to Casey. I pick up my phone and go on Facebook. On my profile, I write.

My fiancé is about to give birth to our son. I'll post more when he comes into the world. I can't wait to hold the bundle of joy in my hands.

Getting out of Facebook I turn my attention back to Casey. "Have you chosen a name for our son yet?"

She shakes her head. "No, I'm going to wait until he comes along before I name him. I don't want to make a mistake with his name. It's the only chance I can get something right."

"What do you mean by getting something right? Hasn't everything you've done been right?"

She looks away from me. "I don't want to talk about it with you."

How can she say something like that and not want me to worry about it?

Standing up I move to the window and look out it. "Casey, you need to talk to me about this. What do you want?"

Balling her hands into a fist she turns her attention back to me. "Austin, there's something I need to tell you."

Finally, I get to know what she wants. She never talks to me now and it's hard to know what going through her head.

"Aaagh," she screams in pain as another contraction hits her. "I want this fucking baby out of me right now." She holds her hand out to me. "Hold my hand, Austin."

Moving over to her I take her hand and kiss her. "You're doing so good, Casey." Kissing her lips I take her mind off what's happening to her body.

She kisses me back and then deepens the kiss. Pulling away from me a smile spreads across her face. "Thanks for taking my mind off of this pain."

"You're welcome."

The nurse walks back into the room and looks between Casey's legs. "You're 10cm dilated. You can start pushing when you're ready."

Casey grips my hand and on the next contraction, she pushes. "Aaagh," sweat begins to fall across her face and tears are beginning to fall. "I can't do this anymore."

Leaning my face close to hear I whisper. "You're doing fine, baby. Just keep pushing. It won't be too long until he comes into the world. Push again. You can do it."

The doctor looks at Casey. "Push," the Doctor says.

She squeezes my hand. "Aaaah," she screams. She pushes four more times and the baby appears in the world.

The doctor is holding the baby and it has blue eyes, white hair and white skin. "You have a beautiful Albino son." The baby starts crying.

No, fucking way. This kid isn't mine.

Realisation dawns on me and I know who the father is.

It's our Albino neighbour, Clarke's kid.

"HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME, CASEY? I LEFT A BEAUTIFUL FUCKING WOMAN TO BE WITH YOU."

She holds the baby close to her chest and a smirk appears on her face. "I did all this as payback."

"PAYBACK FOR WHAT?" I can't seem to lower my voice as I'm very pissed off with the woman lying in the bed.

"My sister. I have a little story to tell you." She looks at her baby. "My sister and I went swimming at the lake. Where a girl and guy were lifesavers. They were busy doing something else when my sister got pulled under the water. When they reached us the female lifeguard dove under the water, but she was under too long."

What's this got to do with me?

"The female lifeguard got my sister and pulled her on the board and swam back to the dock. She performed CPR on my sister until the paramedics arrived. By the time she got to the ambulance, she was pronounced dead. If those lifesavers weren't fucking around with a group of guys she would have survived." She kisses the top of her sons head. "Do you know who those lifeguards were?"

Why would she think I know who it was?

"I don't know."

"It was Eliza and you. You were the one there that day. I knew you wouldn't recognise me. So, I did everything in my power to make you hurt. Just like I have been for years. My sister meant everything to me."

Moving towards the bed I look into her eyes and say. "It wasn't our fault that she died, Casey. You need some fucking help." I storm out of the ward and head to a bar.
