Casey's POV

As soon as the car pulls in front of the police station there are heaps of news crew and photographers.

What are they doing here? How do they know I'm here? Everything was quiet when I left the law firm.

Detective Hogan steps out of the car and moves to my door. He opens it and helps me out of the car. Looking at the cuffs behind his back he says. "How long ago did you pick the lock?"

"After you put me in the car." The cuffs are tightened behind my back and he leads me towards the building.

The cameras flash and then the news reporters are talking about me. They ask me questions as we head towards the entrance.

I wonder how Austin liked the circus that was outside his office building. Clara set that up for me.

Ignoring them I head into the building with Detective Hogan right behind me. He leads me through a set of doors and then a long corridor.

At the end of the corridor is the interrogation room. The door opens and a female steps out. "Detective Hogan."

He smiles at her. "Detective Lawrence."

The woman has long brown hair, with brown eyes. Her uniform fits her perfectly and it shows some of her curves. "Is this the woman you've been looking for, for the last eight years?"

"Yes, it is. I'll have to contact the other victims and let them know that we've caught her. She's going to pay for everything she's done. I can't say that all her victims will be here."

What does he mean by that? That not all my victims will be here. Are some of them dead?

Actually, why do I care about them? I used them and took what I wanted. You probably think I don't have a soul, but I don't give a fuck what anyone thinks about me. I'll continue to be me and that's not going to change.

No man has been able to change me and they're not going to.

"Can I make a phone call?" I ask as I enter the room.

Detective Hogan takes a seat across from me. "Who are you going to call? I'm sure there's a shortlist of people that want to talk to you."

"That's none of your business. Can I use your phone or not?"

"Sure," grabbing the phone Detective Hogan give it to me. "I'll give you a moment." He stands up and walks out of the room.

Picking up the phone I call my stepfather 'Nick.'

The phone rings a couple of times before he answers.

Nick: Hey, baby. You've been splashed all over the TV screen.

Me: I know, honey. I might be going away for some time.

Nick: When you post bail come home and I'll teach you everything you need to know about handling yourself while being inside.

Me: I look forward to that, Nick. I love you.

Nick: I love you, too.

Hanging up the phone I look towards the two-way mirror and say. "I know you're in there. Are you going to start the interrogation? Or are you going to make me sit here looking pretty?"

The door opens and Detective Lawrence walks into the room. "We're not making you sit here doing anything. Detective Hogan is making phone calls and getting some of your victims to come forward and put another statement forward. You're going to prison and that's the least you deserve for all the people you've hurt over the years." She sits across from me and doesn't say anything to me.

After twenty minutes of sitting in the room with Detective Lawrence, Detective Hogan walks into the room. He places a recorder on the table.

He's ready to start the interrogation and I'm looking forward to seeing what he's got.

I've been sitting in the room for hours avoiding all the questions because my attorney hasn't shown up yet.

Where the hell is Clara? Why hasn't she come in yet? I know she told me that she had a few things to do before coming here.

"Can I call my lawyer? She should have been here by now."

"No," Detective Hogan says. "You've made a phone call earlier and you only get one. If your attorney isn't here in five minutes we're putting you in a holding cell until she shows up."

What if something happened to Clara and she's not able to come in and help me out. She's the one that can set my bail for me.

My stepfather Nick won't leave his house and help me out. If he does I'm sure the cops will come up with an excuse to arrest him and have both of us behind bars.

Nick Samuels is one man that you don't want to mess with. When I was younger I saw him torture a man because he stole from him.

After that day he taught me how to get attention from men and use my body for it. He made a lot from me and when I told him I was going to college he wasn't happy.

When I told him all about an upcoming lawyer that I could screw over. He was proud of me for doing that. I also told him that he was responsible for taking my sister away from me.

As the time gets away and Clara hasn't shown up. I'm lead to a cell. Where Detective Hogan says. "It looks like your lawyer has troubles of her own to deal with. That's why she's not here for you. We'll provide you one in the morning."

"You know what. It's a waste of time for me to hire an attorney. I'll tell you what you want. My life can't get any worst than it is."

Detective Lawrence whispers in his ear and a smile spreads across his face. He replies and she looks at me. "We'll let you think things over for the night and then we'll hear you out." Both detectives walk away, leaving me in a holding cell that has a bed and a toilet close by.

"Can I get something to eat?"

Detective Hogan turns slightly towards me and looks me in the eyes. "We'll send someone with food when we have time. We have real police work to attend to." He closes the door and walks away.

They have no right to treat me like this. I'm here because my ex wants his money and property I stole from him back.

I should give it back to him before a trial can go ahead. At least that way they could give me a lighter sentence for returning it. I'll let detective Hogan know where to find the money.

Standing up I start to pace the cell. My mind keeps turning as I think about all the things I've done and the stuff I haven't.

When I get out of prison I hope I'm still able to do what I want.

The door opens and Detective Lawrence walks over to me with a tray of food. "We can't let you starve. Also, I need you to tell me everyone that's been involved in taking Austin Wilde down. Those people should be sharing the cell with you."

"I'm not giving my people up to you."

"Clara won't be joining you anytime soon. She's dealing with the FBI." Detective Lawrence places the food through the gap. "Have a good night, Miss Jackson." With that, she walks away from me.

" With that, she walks away from me
