The door to my room opens and I hear a little patter of feet as they run across the room. Then someone climbs onto the bed. "Uncle Austin," a little voice whispers. "It's time to wake up."

Opening my eyes I look around the room and see my nephews and niece. They are exact replicas of their mother and father. This is the first time I've seen them up close and personal.

When I used to talk to them it was through a computer screen and that's not the same as being in the same room as me.

Looking at the one sitting on me I say. "Which nephew of mine are you? Theodore?" He shakes his head. "You must be Wyatt then." He nods his head.

Theodore walks over to the bed and looks at me. "Everyone calls me Theo. I don't want people to think I'm a chipmunk."

Laughing I throw my head back. "You know I never thought of that. You're Dad and you make the perfect chipmunks. Can we hear you sing?"

He sticks his tongue out at me. "That's not going to happen, Uncle Austin."

Amara sticks her head into the room and she crosses her arms and looks at her children. "I told you three not to disturb Uncle Austin. He had a rough night and needs more sleep. We'll talk to him in an hour or two." She claps her hands together. "NOW, GET OUT."

The kids walk out of the room and follow their mother's orders. She looks at me before saying. "Come out when you're ready." She closes the door behind her and walks away.

How am I supposed to go back to sleep knowing they're downstairs waiting for me to talk to them.

Reaching across the nightstand I grab my phone and go through Facebook. I see heaps of congratulations on the site. I delete the post and post a new one.

Austin Wilde
Thanks for congratulating me on having a baby. However, I need to report that it's false. It turns out my fiance lied to me about the baby being mine. I learnt the truth and it's my neighbours Clarke's kid.

After posting the message I turn Facebook off and then my phone.

No one I care about will reach out to me. After all, I've done a lot to make people hate me. Also, there won't be sympathy, either.

Climbing out of bed I walk downstairs to see Calvin and Amara sitting at the table. The kids aren't anywhere to be heard or seen. I look between them before asking. "Where's Theo, Wyatt and Luna?"

Calvin looks at me and says. "Mom and Dad took them out. They will be back after dinner with them."

"Okay, do you think they'll see me?"

Amara places her hand on mine in a comforting way. "I don't think they will see you today. If you keep your head down they will come around. Are you ready to talk about what happened last night?"

Pulling my hand from hers. "Casey lied to me. told me the kid was mine. when she gave birth to her son I found out I wasn't the father. It turns out all of this was part of her sick plan for revenge."

She scrunches up her face, trying to think of a reason why a woman would do this to me. when nothing comes to her. she asks. "Revenge, for what?"

I tell her about what happened at the lake when I was a teenager. Once I'm finished with the story she looks shocked.

Her mouth opens and closes a couple of times before she says. "That's cruel. I hope that someone gives her a taste of her medicine. She's a vial woman for doing something like that to you." She stands up and moves to the stove. "I'll make you something to eat. I'm sure you need something to absorb that alcohol with." She pulls bacon and eggs out and starts cooking for me.

Calvin clears his throat and he says. "When are you going home?"

"Not this weekend. After breakfast can you drive me to the bar? I want to get my car and then look for a hotel to stay at."

"Sure," standing up he adds. "Austin, if you need anything please don't hesitate to call me. I'll drop everything to be by your side."

"Thank you, Calvin. It means a lot that you want to help me." standing up I head to the bathroom.

Once I'm finished in the bathroom I head back downstairs and the food is sitting on the table for me. picking up the knife and fork I begin to eat. "Thanks, Amara. The foods great." When I finish eating I turn towards my brother and say. "Let's get my car. I have a few things I need to pick up from the mall."

Calvin picks up his keys from the table. kissing his wife he says. "I'll be back soon." he leads the way to the garage and we climb into the car. the garage door opens and Calvin pulls out of it. we head in the direction of the bar.

It doesn't take long before we pull into the parking lot of the bar. I climb out of the car and head over to mine. unlocking it I climb into the car and head to the mall.

When I get to the mall I see it's the one I went to yesterday with Casey. Hurrying through the place I grab some clothes, underwear, shoes, soap, shampoo and conditioner and toothbrush and toothpaste. I pay for the stuff and run to my car.

Climbing inside I head to Hamilton Resort. When I get there I leave my car with the valet and they give me a ticket before they park the car. I walk through the door and head straight to the reception. I book a room and pay for a couple of nights.

The receptionist gives me the keys to the room and I head straight to it. Opening the minibar fridge I see heaps of small bottles. I open one and start drinking. I keep drinking until all the small bottles are gone.

Calling room service I order some food and ask them if they can bring alcohol up to the room for me and they said they'll get someone to bring it up for me.

Ding.

My phone alerts me to a text message. Picking it up I look at the message.

Carla: I heard what happened with Casey. It looks like your downfall is about to happen. I can't wait to see how everything ends for you.

This woman isn't the nicest around the office. she'll make you believe she's nice, but at the end of the day, she isn't.

Deleting the message I try to forget what she said. All she's trying to do is cause unnecessary drama and I don't have time to deal with something like that.

I just want to numb the pain and forget that last night ever happened.

Someone knocks on the door and I open it. It's the bar person with two bottles of bourbon. "Thanks," I take the bottles from him and give him a $50 tip. He walks out of the room, leaving me alone with the alcohol.
