Phil

(Third POV)

"Agent Coulson is down", Fury's voice rang through everyone's ears.

Nova was shocked she had just got Clint back, but lost Phil on the way.

Sage was shocked as well, Phil had helped both girls settle into S.H.I.E.L.D and would always show them his Captain America trading cards, but now he's gone.

They two girls hugged each other as soon as they saw the other was alright, having not heard from the other since the battle begun.

And then they sat down at the table, Tony and Steve sitting at the other end. Fury was standing by the table deciding not to sit.

Everyone else was scattered. None knew where Thor or Bruce was and Natasha was with Clint in his room waiting for him to wake up.

The room was in complete and utter silence none daring to talk.

"These were in Phil Coulson's jacket", Fury broke it, throwing down something on the table.

When everyone looked down at what Fury threw down on the table, both girls instantly teared up.

Lying on the table with a bit of blood on them was none other than Coulson's Captain America trading cards, still not signed.

"I guess he did never get you to sign them", Fury said to Steve. "We're dead in the air up here. Our communications, the location of the Cube, Banner, Thor....I got nothing for you. I lost my one good eye. Maybe I had that coming."

While Fury was saying that Steve had picked up one of the bloody cards and looked at them with a pained face.

Maria was silent and just sat there staring off into the distance, the same with Tony.

Sage and Nova sat there, Sage with tears pouring down her face and Novas tears about to pour out of her eyes trying to stay strong.

"Yes, we were going to build an arsenal with the Tesseract. I never put all my chips on that number, though, because I was playing something even riskier", fury said.

This confused nearly everyone but because Sage and Nova snuck in and listened to meetings they also new about it.

"There was an idea, Stark knows this and supposedly so does Sage and Nova, called the Avengers Intitiave. The idea was to bring together a group of remarkable people, to see if they could become something more. To see if they could work together when we needed them to, to fight the battles we never could. Phil Coulson died still believing in that idea. In hero's."

Also soon as Fury said 'hero's' Tony stood up as quick as lightning, waiting a second looking around, before walking off.

Sage who still had tears rushing down her cheeks transformed into her cat form and jumped doff the chair to the floor and running after Tony.

Nova stood up normally before speed walking off to Clint's room where he and Nat would be.

Nova walked into Clint's room to be met with the sight of Nat and Clint talking, Clint chained to a chair bed.

"Hi", she said.

"Hey trouble, where's your other half", Clint asked.

"I don't know, she ran off", Nova shrugged.

"Is he....him again", Nova turned to Nat.

"Yeah, he should be", Nat told her.

"Then why is he still chained down", Nova gasped out.

"We want you to look through his brain make sure Loki's fully gone", Nat said.
