(Third person pov)

"WHAT!", Nova shrieked, spitting out her water.

"You'll be fine Nova, don't be so dramatic", Tony rolled his eyes.

"You can't do this to me!", Nova shouted.

"I know, I know, I'm ruining your life", Tony yawned.

"Yes, you are!", said Nova. "I swore to myself that I would never go back and you said that I didn't have to."

"Thst was years ago", said Tony.

"You still said it", said Nova.

"It's only school, Nova", Tony told her. "Besides, Peter will be with you, won't you Pete?"

"What? Oh, yeah, totally, every step of the way", Peter nodded.

Nova slowly turned back to Tony, shaking her head.

"I'm not going back to school, ever again", she said stubbornly.

"Yes, you are", Tony told her sternly.

"It would be a whole different story if it was Sage and not me", Nova muttered and the tension in the air thickened.

Neither of them had mentioned Sage since she left, it was like an unspoken rule for everyone to not bring Sage up. Either that or it was just common sense for neither seemed ready to talk about what happened.

"You start Monday", Tony told her as he walked out of the room.

"Clint would never make me go back", Nova blurted out before she could stop herself.

Tony turned back around.

"Oh yeah? Well where is Clint? Huh?", he snapped.

Nova's hurt filled eyes glazed over with tears as she held her glare at Tony who sighed.

"I'm trying my best", he said but Nova's glare didn't soften.

Tony sighed again before leaving the room.

When Tony left, Nova let out a frustrated scream before turning around and heading for her bedroom.

"I guess I'll just stand here then", Peter sighed.

Nova slammed her bedroom door shut and placed up and down the room before her reflection caught her eye.

She walked over to the mirror and looked at herself for the first time in ages.

Her hair was cut above her shoulders by yours truly, and she looked different. Not in a good way.

She looked sick, almost.

She had lost weight by not eating or leaving her bed at all for the first few weeks for she would just lie in her bed in the dark.

Peter would often come over and try to talk to her when he could but she just stared at the ceiling while he talked about his day.

Tony would only really come in to give her meals that he would eventually replace when they got cold, he tried talking to her once or twice but Nova was always unresponsive until one day he told a funny story about Sage.

The only response he got from Nova from that was a single silent tear though, he decided to leave after that and he didn't really try to make conversation after that.

When Nova eventually did get out of bed, the first thing she saw was her reflection. She walked over to her mirror and grabbed a pair of scissors and began to chop her hair off. It ended up resting unevenly on her shoulders.

Even though her hair was in desperate need to be evened out, Nova loved it for she felt as if a huge weight had been lifted off of her shoulders.

She made her way slowly and quietly to the kitchen where Tony was humming and making pancakes and Peter stood nervously at the table.

He was the first to notice Nova.

"Hey", he said.

Nova smiled slightly from the doorway, the muscles she used to smile hurt from the lack of use.

Nova knew she didn't look very presentable or a pretty sight to look at right now, but she didn't care.

She only wore a long shirt that almost reached her knees.

After debating with herself, she walked over and sat down at the table.

"And the pancakes are done", said Tony, turning around with the fying pan in hand.

He was wearing an apron and had even mitts on.

He gasped slightly in surprise when he saw Nova actually in the room and then gasped again when he saw her hair, making Nova look up at him.

"Your hair", he whispered.

He looked at Nova who had teary eyes and finally left her room. Deciding it was better not to say anything for she was going through alot at the moment, Tony smiled.

"I love it", he said.

"Really?", Nova asked.

"Really", Tony nodded. "I'll get Pepper to even it out though."

Nova nodded and looked over at Petr wo had been looking at her worriedly. Nova looked back down, she didn't like being looked at worriedly as if she might cry or break at any second.

It made her feel small and weak.

"I can even out your hair if you want", Peter told her.

Nova looked up at him.

"Well, Aunt May will but-"

"Thank you", Nova cut him off, her voice scratchy and hoarse from lack of use over the weeks.

Peter nodded and smiled, Nova smiled weakly back before looking down at the pancakes Tony put infront of her.

Although she barely ate one, Tony and Peter were just happy she finally ate something.

And got a shower.
