After they got back Sage was sent to medical, because of the hit ti her head could bring back the trauma to her brain, which she got out of a few minutes later saying she was fine.

She was going to go see Nova straight after but Nova seemed to be dodging her and Pietro would make any excuse for her to not go see her.

Nova was spending a lot of time with Wanda, one because they were best friends and two because they both are feeling guilty right now.

They were just sitting in Wanda's room on her bed watching the news that was talking about what happened in Lagos.

"What legal authority do enhanced individuals like Wanda Maximoff and Nova jinx have to operate in Nigeria", the news reporter spoke.

After the news reporter said that the tv turned off and both girls turned around to see Steve leaning against the wall and putting the remote back on the table.

"It's my fault", Wanda said.

"And mine", Nova said, not letting Wanda take the full blame.

"That's not true", Steve told them.

"Turn the tv back on. They're being very specific", Wanda said.

"I should've clocked that bomb vest long before you had to deal with it", Steve walked toward them. "Rumlow said 'Bucky'....and all of a sudden I was a sixteen year old kid again in Brooklyn."

Steve sat in the side of the bed next to them. But Nova was thinking of the name 'Bucky' she could have swore she heard it before.

"And people died. It's on me", Steve said, looking down at the ground.

"It's on all three of us", Wanda then decided to also not place the blame all on Steve.

"This job....We try to save as many people as we can. Sometimes that doesn't mean everybody. But if we can't find a way to live with that......then next time....maybe nobody gets saved", Nova had tears in her eyes as Steve said a very good speech.

But the moment was ruined when Vision literally came through the wall and into the room.

"Vis! We talked about this", Wanda said.

"Yes, but the door was open so I assumed that...", Vision motioned to the door before cutting himself off. "Captain Rogers wished to know when Mr.Stark was arriving."

"Thank you", Steve nodded. "We'll be right down."

"I'll use the door", Vision said, Nova having to hide her laughs with a cough.

"Oh, and apparently he's brought a guest", Vision turned back.

"We know who it is?", Steve asked.

"The Secretary of State", Vision said, before turning around and walking out the door.

All three gave each other nervous looks before slowly standing up to meet the Secretary of State.

All the team was sitting in one of the rooms in the compound held for meetings, everyone minus Thor, Banner and Clint.

Sage was next to Pietro and across from them was Wanda and Nova. Tony wasn't sitting at the table opting to sit in the corner of the room.

"Five years ago, I had a heart attack. I dropped right in the middle of my backswing", Secretary Ross told them, doing the golf gesture with his hands like anybody in the room cared.

"Turns out, it was the biggest round of my life because after thirteen hours of surgery and the triple bypass, I found something forty years in the army never that perspective. The world owes the Avengers an unpayable debt. You have fought for us, protected us, risked your lives, but while a great many people see you as hero's, there are some who's oils prefer the word vigilantes."

"And what word would you use", Nat spoke up, Ross turning to her.

"How about dangerous? What would you call a group of US based enhanced individuals who routinely ignore sovereign borders, and inflict their will wherever they choose? And who, frankly, seem unconcerned about what they leave behind."

After his speech- if you could call to that -Ross then took some steps back and took a little remote out and pressed a button on it to reveal a screen with a PowerPoint on it.

"New York."

When he said this he clicked a button showing a short clip of what happened in New York during the battle.

"Washington DC."

Again when he said that he clicked a button on the remote showing a clip of the helicarriers falling from the sky.

"Sokovia."

Once he said Sokovia, Sage felt Pietro tense up and grabbed his hand giving it a squeeze.

"Lagos."

When the clip of buildings falling, both Wanda and Nova looked down in guilt, Steve who was sitting across from them looked at them before looking back up at Ross.

"Okay, that's enough", Steve said.

Nova shot Steve a thankful look and he gave her a nod in response.

"For the past four years, you've operated other unlimited power and no supervision. That's an arrangement the governments of the world can no longer tolerate, but I think we have a solution", Ross then turned around and took something from his bad before sliding it onto the table.

"Sokovia accords. Approved by one hundred and seventeen countries", Ross told them, as everyone slid the book around.

"It states the Avengers shall no longer be a private organization. Instead, they will operate under the supervision of the United Nations panel. Only when, and if the panel deems it necessary", as Ross said this, Sage who had been listening intently, unknowingly, started using her powers, her eyes glowing green and mist surrounding her hands.

The only people who seemed to notice was Steve, Nova, Pietro and the Secretary who raised his eyebrows at Sage as if proving his point.

Pietro quickly re took Sages hand in his and she slowly started letting her powers go back into her.

"The Avengers were formed to make the world a safer place, I feel we've done that", Steve argued.

"Tell me, Captain, do you know where Thor and Banner are right know", Ross argued back.

Nova rolled her eyes and scoffed internally at that thinking, 'Thor's not even from this planet, so he is no concern for this'.

"If I misplaced a couple of megaton nukes, you can bet there'd be consequences", Ross told them.

Making Nova yet again rolling her eyes thinking, 'we are humans not a bunch of bombs ready to be exploded.'

"Compromise, reassurance, that's how the world works. Believe me this is the middle ground", Ross stated.

Rhodey slightly waved his hand. "So, there are contingencies."

"Three days from now, the UN meets in Vienna to ratify the Accords", Ross told them. "Talk it over."

Ross then turned picking up his briefcase and starting to leave.

"And if we come to a decision you don't like?", Nat asked.

"Then you retire", Ross bluntly said.

After that the whole room was left in silence and awkwardness.

Sage who had been getting better and is now more like herself then the childish girl she was, could feel the childishness coming back to get out of the awkward situation.

So she stood up quickly, her chair going back a bit at the abrupt stand, and everyone looked at her.

"Look, the pie", she pointed to outside the windows, where assortments of pies were.

Pietro who had been helping her with her brain problem for around a year, stood up and gently
putting his hand to her face and smoothing over the bandage where the gash lies under.

Knowing that was most likely the reason for this outburst.

He then took her hand, hoisted her up and wrapped his arm around her back and led her out of the room to have some pie.
