"Sup, Penis Parker!", said a boy as he almost ran Peter over.
Nova would have killed him, but Tony's voice rang in her head.
"Rule number one, no powers at school"
"Fucking finally", Nova muttered, taking out her earphones as Peter rushed up to her.
"Hey, sorry I'm late", he said.
"It's fine", Nova waved a hand dismissively. "Let's just get this over and done with."
Nova put up the hood of her hoodie and zipped it up as both her and Peter turned to face the school. She stuck her hands in her pockets and sighed, squinting up at the building.
"Hey", Peter put a hand on her shoulder. "We don't have to go in if you're not ready."
"No, it's fine", Nova shook her head. "Let's go."
"I'll be with you every step of the way", Peter smiled.
"Every step of the way", Nova smiled back.
"Hey, is that a new dress?", Peter asked her.
"Nope", Nova popped the 'P'. "Just haven't worn it with these boots before."
"Rise and shine mid town science and technology", said a blonde girl on the screen on the wall in the school.
Oh yeah, did I mention this was a science school?
Nova's pretty sure Tony picked this school out for Sage but since that not happening, she feels like he's trying to live sage out through her.
One of the many reasons Nova now has short hair.
Also Peter's here, so.

Nova shook her head as she looked away from the screen, although she could still hear it.
"Students, don't forget about your homecoming tickets", said the guy on the screen beside the blonde girl. "Do you have a date? For homecoming?"
"Thanks, Jason", the girl laughed awkwardly. "But I already have a date."
"Ok", said Jason, disappointed.
"Yep", the girl said awkwardly.
"Peter?", Nova turned to him and Peter hummed in response and turning his head to face her while they walked to his locker.
"What's a homecoming?", she asked and Peter went slightly red in the face.
"It's uhm- it's a dance, basically", he told her, opening his locker.
"Oh", Nova nodded, leaning back against the lockers. "Can I come?"
