As soon as the cab pulled up to the casino and Grace and Dice stepped out Grace paused at the bottom of the stairs and looked up at the place. Her stomach was in knots as her mind raced. What could the devil possibly want from her? Her soul? He wouldn't be getting it! Not today or any other day!
Dice placed a hand on her back and she tore her eyes away from the looming devil shaped entrance of the casino and looked to him and he smiled gently. "I'm with you. It's alright." He assured and she smiled gently.
"I know. Thank you Dice." She whispered before she let him lead her inside. It was not busy again and this time she could actually see the place. It was a large open room with smaller rooms off to it's sides. There were a few customers scattered about and a few employees hard at work. The decore was very nice, lots of dark hardwood trimmings and crushed velvet curtains linning the walls and beautiful polished marble floors. Very welcoming at first glance until you saw the large golden throne at the back of the room where the Lord of it all sat. Satan. Scanning the room and smiling wickedly as he held his large golden trident in his hands.
Instantly his eyes fell on her and a cold chill ran up her spine. She wanted to run. He was so big and scary looking. She hadn't seen him before, at least not clearly or for very long. Now she was locked eyes with the creature and the color drained from her face as dice lead her over, she could hear his heart beat, clearly dice was upset by this as well and that didn't help her feel better.
"I brought Ms. Grace as you asked boss." Dice said tightly, keeping his hand on her back.
Satan's eyes never moved from grace who was doing her best not to tremble. She wanted to look brave.
"Good job dice. You're dismissed." He said waving dice off but he hesitated by Grace's side.
"Um... Ms grace would like me to stay sir..."
"I'm certain she would but she is my guest so I'll look after her while you go do your job. Best hop to it dice." The Devil warned, turning to glare at his lackey.
Dice locked eyes with grace and he frowned apologetically. "You'll be ok..." He whispered before turning to walk away.
She watched him go before turning back to Satan who stood up and held out a hand to her, "welcome back my dear one." He said.
She swallowed hard, a lump having formed in her throat as she hesitantly placed her hand in his and he quickly gripped her delicate hand and pulled her towards him, placing his lips on the top of her hand.
She resisted a whimper and instead just pulled her hand back. "Why did you have Mr. Dice bring me here. You got to do what you wanted to me." She said defensively.
He chuckled. "I must admit my dear you captivated me. I wanted to see just what about you has my lackey so smitten with you."
"He isn't smitten with me. He's my friend." She said quickly, blushing at the thought of dice liking her like that, not that she would have minded it, she just didn't think someone like dice would desire her in such a way.
"Oh you think so? Well why don't I show you a little trick and you can find out for yourself if I'm right or not. That new eye of yours used to belong to a very powerful demon of mine before it was dice's. It has the power to look into anyone's soul and see what exactly their deepest naughtiest desires are, even the ones they would never speak about."
She blinked, surprised as she reached up to touch just below her eye. This could do that? That was amazing but... "how?" She asked softly, astonished.
His grin spread wider across his face before he took her shoulders in his clawed hands and turned her around and pointed past her to a stand that was selling cigars, tabbaco, and other smoking parifinalliea. There was a large man there, about a foot taller than dice but not quite as tall as Satan and he had a glowing cigar for a head.
"Focus on him. Look as hard as you can. Will the eye to work." He explained, keeping his hands on her shoulders, running them up and down gently, which sent shivers of uneasiness down her spine.
She did her best to ignore the devil and focused on the man who was too distracted by a skeleton man to notice her staring and suddenly her eye began to vibrate a little and it was as if the man were suddenly outlined in by a vibrant color orange and around him there were little glowing images of what looked like booze, naked women, and men, along with a paper that read soul contract.
She gasped and stepped back, stunned by what she saw and the glowing images and lines faded as she covered her eyes and rubbed them. It was such an odd sensation.
The devil chuckled as she stepped back against him. "The man wants nothing more than to get railed by the beautiful people he sees. He's a horny drunk who wants his soul back." He said darkly, "too bad for him. He's only ever gonna get two of those things. That soul is mine, just like dice's. I'd love to add yours to my collection as well my dear." He said, moving a hand down her side to rest at her hip.
