Dice stepped into the little home with Grace's hand in his. The two really didn't want to let go of one another and neither of them were willing at admit why first.
As soon as grace stepped inside her father rounded the corner from the kitchen and scooped her up into his arms. "Grace! Oh thank heaven you're alright! What on earth were you doing out there! Where did you go?!"
Grace hugged her father back and sighed. "Did you not read the note dice wrote for you?" She asked.
"It just said you'd be out today! And you know how I feel about you being out there by yourself!" He retorted, setting her back on her feet.
"I wasn't by myself. I was with dice. He wouldn't let anything bad happen to me." She assured and her father turned his gaze up towards dice with a glare.
"King Dice huh? What exactly is your affiliation with my daughter? We have nothing you or your boss could want so why are you still spending time with her?"
"Daddy! Please be nice! King Dice is my friend and he wants nothing from us." Grace said moving to stand in front of dice.
"Sweetie... I know you might think that but you've got to trust me on this. The Devil and his right hand man are not to be trusted."
Dice bowed his head and sighed before opening his mouth to speak but Grace quickly interrupted.
"Now that is enough! Dice has done more for me in the few days I've known him than anyone has ever for me in my entire life. Because of Dice I can see! He gave up one of his eyes for me and has been helping me learn how to function with vision!" She said, opening her eyes and revealing her bright purple eye.
Her father stared in shock of her in silence.
"Because of him I can look at you. I can see the pictures of mother. I can see myself in the mirror and the lavender I grow in the garden and the whole world!" She added, "and that alone I think makes him a trust worth companion for your daughter."
He sighed and moved to take her face in his hands, looking her in the eyes and smiling through tears that fell down his time aged cheeks. "You can see me?" He whispered.
She smiled softly and nodded. "Yes daddy. I can." She whispered before he breathed a sigh of relief, seeming to release a weight from himself that he had been carrying for a very long time as he hugged her close and looked up at Dice.
"I misjudged you sir. Thank you." He said softly, holding his caught tight in his arms.
Dice smiled a small smile and nodded. "Trust me sir, it is an honor to help her."
After explaining how everything had happened grace prepared the tea the devil gave her for her father and watched him drink every last drop with a smile. There was no immediate noticeable change but she was sure the tea had worked because her father went to bed without even glancing at the front door, where he would normally have stopped to question if he should go to the casino or not.
When dice stood to leave Grace reached out and took his hand, making him pause and look back at her, raising an eyebrow.
"What is it darlin?" He asked.
"Dice... would you stay?" She asked, keeping her gaze on the table top in front of her, her hand tightening around his and he smiled, moving to tilt her chin up to look at him.
"For you darlin. I'd do anything." He told her and she smiled, her cheeks turning bright red.
"Thank you." She whispered before standing and leading him up to her room.
"I'm gonna go change. Make yourself comfortable." She told him before gathering her night gown and heading off to the bathroom to change.
When she came back was slipping out of his work clothes, down to a wife beater tank top and his pants with the belt in buckled.
She felt her heart jump into her throat as she saw just how muscular he was under his porciline white skin.  She felt her entire body turn a shade of red she had never seen before and he turned a bright shade of lavender on his shoulders, neck and cheeks when he noticed her.
She wore a pretty night down, one with lace trimming down at her knees and around the neck line which showed off her cleavage well. He hadn't seen that much skin on her before and his mind unintentionally went somewhere in the gutter.
He shook his head and smirked at her nervously.
"That's a lovely night gown darlin." He said, breaking the silence first.
She chuckled nervously and closed her bedroom door.
"Thank you. It's very comfortable." She said softly. "You're not gonna sleep in your slacks are you? I can't imagine that's comfortable."
He looked off, rubbing the back of his head, "w-well I don't wanna be inappropriate and make you uncomfortable dollface."
She bit her lip and slowly made her way over to him, placing a hand on his chest, feeling his heart race under her finger tips and she closed her eyes briefly before looking up at hi m, her demon eye glowing green as she inspected him, seeing his desires surrounding him in glowing purple light. There was money, a crown, his soul contract and...her. She was there. He desired her and she swallowed hard. The Devil was right. He liked her.
She noticed his gaze wasn't on her as he moved his hand down to her waist, gently tracing his thumb against her side.
She reached up and turned his face towards her. "Dice look at me. Really look at me me." She said, tapping just below his demon eye and so without pause, he looked.
