Katara met Aang at his room. He was on his bed. "Can I, uh, join you?" She grabbed his doorframe, peeking her head around it.
He smiled at her sight and blinked, nodding. "Yeah, come on in," he said calmly. "I wasn't going to sleep; I can't really relax after everything." He sat there, looking forward. "It is great that we are all back, but the situation is heavy. Azula escaping. Do you know the amount of chaos that is about to take place? Zuko and Athlea being in danger at the same time. And Athlea seems off. At the dining table, it seemed like she passed out for a second."
She glanced away. "Yeah. Yeah, it's gonna be a lot. I wonder if Athlea is..." She hesitated. "Sick?"
He raised an eyebrow. "Do you think she is?... And is just masking it?" he asked, clearly concerned.
She sighed. "Maybe not. Maybe she's just stressed or tired. She's got a lot going on." She giggled. "Maybe her and Zuko were up all night."
"Maybe. Hopefully it isn't something bad," Aang said. "You and Dai should talk to her because, you know... girly stuff," he said with a nervous, innocent smile.
She lifted her head, glancing sharply at him. "You don't think she's pregnant?" she asked quietly, her eyes showing her anxiety.
Aang opened his eyes and looked at Katara for a few good seconds before facing back forward, blinking a few times and then chuckling. "I can't imagine Zuko a father," he admitted jokingly.
Katara raised her eyebrows. "He'd light the baby on fire," she muttered, half-joking. She tilted her head on one side.
He took a second to think. "I don't know, I don't... want to get involved. It's between you girls."
"I don't think she is. She'd be throwing up, too. I'm guessing she's just stressed."
Katara slowly walked into his room, walking on her toes with her fingers interlaced in front of her ribs. "I'm pretty nervous about all this myself," she admitted. "It would be nice to catch up with our friends instead of immediately having to save someone's ass again."
"What do you say, after all this, we speak to Zuko and we stay here for a little while? Get to hang out and enjoy times like in the past?" he suggested.
Katara bit her lip. "I think that sounds great," she admitted. "Everyone living in Republic City is okay on their own now."
Aang looked at Katara and nodded in agreement. "It should be nice. Besides, we don't have to get into their business, we'll just hang out when they're done with their duties." He chuckled.
Katara nodded, thinking. "Of course," she murmured.
She settled in the bed, tucking her legs underneath her and scooting close to him. She pulled the blanket around them, leaning her head on his shoulder. He put his arm around her, smiling. "Are you thinking of going back to live in an iceberg again?" she smiled up at him.
He looked at Katara and chuckled. "Never. I'm happy where I am." She laughed softly.
She pulled most of the blanket over her, stealing it from him, and plopped onto her side. "I'm tired. I think." Moments later, she was asleep.
