Zuko froze, his eyes huge. "No lie," she agreed with Toph.

Sokka glanced at Katara, then Dai. "Did I miss something?"

"There's actually a baby," Katara informed her brother.

"A baby," Zuko breathed.

"Oh my god," Athlea said, her gaze moving from Zuko to Katara to Toph, then everybody else.

"Wow. Their wish came true." Toph sipped on a drink.

Sokka blinked at Katara. "What...? A Royal baby!" He turned to Dai, his eyes big. "Can we babyist together?" He gave her puppy eyes.

Dai raised her eyebrows. "I suppose you'll need someone there to keep you in line," she muttered to Sokka.

He chuckled. "Me, in line? I'm just fine! Perfectly in line!" He shook his head.

Zuko suddenly shouted, "A baby! You're pregnant! We're gonna have a baby!" A few Followers looked around, confused as to why he was yelling about something that they believed he already knew.

Athlea's eyes widened. She stood and grabbed Zuko's sleeve, laughing nervously. "Seems like the Fire Lord is a bit tipsy. He needs some air. Please continue!" With a nervous, awkward smile, she grabbed Zuko's arm and dragged him to the front doors. He covered his mouth with a hand as he followed her, golden eyes wide.

Aang chuckled. "Have we ever seen Zuko that excited? That was some scene right there." He smiled at Katara.

Katara should her head. "I didn't know he could be excited," she laughed.

Toph glanced at Katara. "Honestly, I thought the only thing he knew was anger and stress." Aang rolled his eyes as she spoke.

Dai tilted her head. "He's gonna be a father," she pointed out, "and so soon after they suffered such a big loss."

Sokka shrugged. "Think of it like this; it's a little miracle for both of them."

Avitus chuckled. "That was my same reaction many years ago," he said with a chuckle.

Sokka laughed. "If someone would have told me I'd see Zuko behaving this way, I'd never believe them." Katara nodded to him, smiling. He paused and looked at Dai. "Wanna dance, Your Majesty?" he asked teasingly.

She bit her lip, taking a moment. "I suppose," she said softly, extending her hand for him to take.

Sokka took her hand and led her to the dance floor. "They lost one, but gained another," he said, moving a hand to her hip. He grinned, beginning to lead her in a dance. "Not gonna bite," he added.

Dai shook her head, biting her lip. Sokka chuckled as she moved so her wrists rested on his shoulders. "Unless I want you to?" she asked, repeating his words from the night Athlea had miscarried, a soft smile on her face and a glint in her eyes.

He blinked in surprise. "Oh, is that so?" he asked teasingly. "Looks like our Ice Queen is rather playful, hm?" He pulled her close, his hands on her waist, and smiled.

"Me?" Dai asked innocently. "Never."

Sokka rolled his eyes. "Yeah, sure... Your Majesty," he said with a chuckle. She lay her head against him as they danced, her nose resting lightly against his neck. He cleared his throat, turning his head to the side, his cheeks turning red for a moment. Dai giggled softly, letting her wrists slide back so her hands were on his shoulders. She closed her eyes.

After a little bit, the slow song ended and a more upbeat one came on. Dai pulled away from Sokka, not looking at him. "I have to go," she said quietly, rushing off.

Sokka stood there awkwardly. "Hey, you okay?" he called after her. He raised an eyebrow. "Did I... say something?" he mumbled to himself.

Zuko and Athlea had returned, and Zuko was dragging Athlea back onto the floor. Maybe he had indeed chugged his beer too quickly but... still.

Athlea's eyes widened slightly, and she blinked. "Someone drank a bit too much," she pointed out.

Zuko noticed Sokka standing, confused and staring after Dai, and shook his head, now grabbing Athlea's hands. "She is going to break his heart."

Athlea followed his gaze, raising her eyebrows, her hands in his. "Why do you say so?" She returned her gaze to him. "Maybe she's conflicted."

Sokka was rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. "Right..." he muttered, walking back to the Team.

"Your date left you?" Toph asked mockingly.

"Me? Neverrr. No one leaves The Sokka," he responded confidently. Katara smiled.

Aang crossed his arms. "Don't let yourself get too close," he warned. Katara bit her lip, glancing between the men.

After a while, the Royal couple returned. "Well, well, look at the Royal couple, who are expecting a real baby," Toph said, giggling.

"Right, right," Athlea muttered, smiling nervously.

Sokka glanced over. "Royal fire baby!"

Toph smacked the back of his head. "Don't you have something to do?"

Sokka rubbed the back of his head, one eye closed. He stopped and raised an eyebrow, glancing at Toph.

"She means Dai," Aang explained.

Sokka stood there awkwardly.

"Well?" Athlea asked.

"Go, you idiot!" Toph ordered.

Sokka took a step back. "Okay, okay!" He turned around, walking alongside the dance floor. He made his way to a hallway and glanced left and right. "Where would Dai go," he mumbled. He shrugged, heading to the right.
