Zuko groaned and rolled his head to the side. He blinked. "Athlea?" he mumbled. Sokka, in front of him, was still asleep, mumbling. Zuko glanced at Sokka. "Wake up," he said sharply.
The door opened and Zuko's head jerked over as three men walked in, one in the lead and two flanking him. Zuko's golden eyes narrowed. "Oh? Looks like one of them didn't wake up," the leader observed with a chuckle. His eyes moved to Zuko. "Hello there... Fire Lord Zuko." A devilish smile crossed his face.
Zuko frowned. "Who are you? Where's Athlea? And where is my sister?" He jerked at the ropes.
The man laughed, and one of his men hit the back of Sokka's neck to wake him. "AAH!... Ah--?? Wh-Who are you?!" Sokka snapped, a glare on his face now.
Zuko glared at the guards. "Don't touch him," he snapped, his hands itching.
"Shut him up," the leader said, turning to Zuko with a mischievous smile on his face. Zuko's gaze snapped back to him. "Oh, your dear wife... Fire Lady," he said. He went quiet for a moment, his face going serious. "I don't know," he suddenly said with a big smile on his face. "Looks like you'll have to get out of here first to see. That is... if you get out." Zuko recognized the man as Delun, a former servant of Azula's. "Your sister?" he suddenly asked, an eyebrow raised. "She's locked in that mental institute of yours. What job do we have with her?" He laughed. "Our only job is to kill the Avatar and to take over your throne... which I didn't think would be so easy."
Zuko raised his eyebrows. "Azula escaped," was all he said. He jerked against the ropes. "Kill Aang? Good luck." The ropes around Zuko's hands sizzled, and he took a deep breath.
The second that the guards left, he burned his way out of the ropes and rushed to Sokka. He carefully burned him out. "Are you alright?" He glanced at the door. "Looks like we have to wait for Toph."
Sokka stood up. "Who the fuck are these people?! My weapons are gone, too! My boomerang!" he said, obviously annoyed, glaring at the door. "They're getting beat up once they're back." He gritted his teeth in annoyance.
"We need to wait for Toph. She's the only one who can get us out of here."
"Wait for Toph?! Can't you do something about it? Melt it," Sokka said.
"Relax," Zuko muttered.
Sokka looked at him, his left eye twitched. "RELAX? RELAX!" he exclaimed. "I am going to kill them with my bare fists, just watch," he said, his fist in his hand. He cracked his knuckles, determined.
"I'm gonna smack you," Zuko muttered, glancing away from Sokka. "We can't do anything right now. If I fire the door, the heat won't be able to escape and we'll be cooked. We have to wait." He lit flames, glaring at the door. Suddenly he grinned. "Unless... they open the door for us." He screamed at the top of his lungs.
Sokka glanced at Zuko, eyes wide, as he covered his ears and fell down on his rear. "Are you INSANE?!"
Zuko laughed as Sokka fell over in surprise. "Just wait," he muttered. Sure enough, half a second later two guards burst in. Zuko filled the room with smoke before they could react. He grabbed Sokka and pulled him between the spluttering guards before facing them. He ran forward, shoving the guards in. "Give me a hand, Sokka!" With Sokka in front of the guards watching, Zuko grabbed the door handles and slammed the doors shut. He immediately heated the metal.
"Let's get going!" Sokka said impatiently.
"That should keep them in for a while or they'll burn themselves. Come on." He grabbed Sokka and ran. "We need to find the girls." The two started to run. They came to a door and burst through.
