The sound of sobs woke up Gale, who rubbed her eyes, confused by the noises. She yawned and got out of bed and then walked towards the source.

She stepped out of the crack in the wall that led to her house and noticed Elizabeth's body shaking with each sob that she couldn't hold back.

Gale felt a pang in her heart seeing her like this and walked quickly to reach her. "Liz?" she called hesitantly and the human fell silent trying to calm down. Gale was worried about her, so she scrambled up the blankets that fell to the floor and found herself on the mattress.

She saw Elizabeth hide under the covers and tremble slightly as she held back her sobs. Gale walked over to her and placed a hand on her head. "What's wrong?" the borrower asked her sitting cross-legged as she stroked the human's hair slowly. Liz sniffed and tried to wipe away her tears.

"Nothing, sorry if I woke you up. Go back to sleep" she said with a nasal and broken voice. Gale rolled her eyes, why did she always have to be so closed into herself?

"I can't sleep knowing that you are not feeling well, so you either tell me or we will stay like this all night long" she informed her continuing to caress the human's head. Elizabeth slowly raised her head and found her face right in front of Gale. The borrower gave her a small smile and looked into her puffy eyes.

"I told my parents I am gay," she said and Gale's eyes widened. Did she tell them about her too? Of her existence? Elizabeth noticed her concern and looked down.

"Don't worry, I didn't talk about you" she informed her, reassuring her immediately. Gale came up to her face and wiped her tears away with her hands and then continued to caress her cheek.

"They didn't react well, did they?" Gale asked her already foreseeing the answer. Elizabeth bursted into tears again and sobbed as she brought her hands to her face and encircled Gale with them. She pressed the borrower against her cheek, in a kind of embrace, and she continued to cry.

"Hey, Liz... it's okay" she tried to calm her down by continuing to caress her cheek. At that moment, she would have liked so much to have the same size as Elizabeth. She wanted to be able to hug her, hide her in her arms, and let her vent. But she couldn't and she had to do what she could to help her out.

"Elizabeth, you don't have to care about what others say. You are perfect just the way you are" she said leaving a kiss on her cheek. Elizabeth gave a small smile and quickly wiped her face.

"I love you, Liz-" she said and tried to fix a lock of hair of her girlfriend. "-I will always remain by your side, in any situation I will be there if you'll allow me" she continued and Elizabeth couldn't help but smile and blush slightly at her words.

"You do that on purpose to make me flustered, silly," she said letting out a little laugh. Gale smiled and shrugged in response.

"It's the truth" she justified herself and Elizabeth approached her hand to Gale. The human caressed her face with the side of her thumb, looking right into her eyes in silence. Gale let herself enjoy the light touch, smiling.

"I love you too, Gale" Liz whispered, before leaving a kiss on half her face and making the borrower giggle because of the tickling.

"I told you a thousand times to not do that!" she complained looking at her, trying to face an annoyed gaze, but the smile on her face told a different story.

"Do what? This?" Elizabeth asked rhetorically, faking being confused and trapped Gale with one hand. After that, she began to kiss her all over her face and body.

The borrower laughed at her tickle and tried in vain to push her face away with her arms. "Stop it!" she said between her laughter and eventually Elizabeth backed away. They laughed together for a while and it seemed like every problem disappeared.

Their gaze locked, lost in each other's eyes. Both wore a stupid smile on their faces and knew they loved each other even more than before.

Elizabeth rested her face on her pillow again and held Gale in front of her eyes stroking her head. "Thanks" Liz whispered, her voice was so low as if she didn't want to ruin the moment. Gale closed her eyes, relaxed at those caresses that she adored so much.

"Do you want to sleep with me?" she asked the borrower, continuing to cuddle her. They usually didn't sleep together because Gale didn't want to, she once found herself stuck in Elizabeth's arms and she couldn't get free until her human woke up a long time after.

"Okay, but if you do something, I'll cut your hair in your sleep" Gale warned her muttering and closed her eyes yawning. "Yes, ma'am" the human murmured smiling. Elizabeth watched the borrower starting to fall asleep and pulled her face closer, leaving her one last kiss on the head.

She knew very well how much Gale loved kisses on the head, but she was very shy to admit it. The borrower felt her heart beating fast and she hid her face in the pillow where she was laying. Elizabeth smiled softly, looking at her cute girlfriend for a bit before closing her eyes.

"Goodnight" she whispered, her voice was so soft that it was almost inaudible.
