I still can't keep my eyes off of her, like the only thing holding me in the room was the of her eyes staring right back up into mine. My best friend. I haven't seen her in at least 100 years and I don't know how that even happened. We were best friends in high school and all throughout my childhood and then one day she just disappeared. I tried to find her and I hope the town put up posters and everything, but we never were able to find where she went. Now here she is, right Phil's living room.

I'm still glued to the floor when I see her jump up from her chair and immediately right over to me. And a better seconds her arms around my waist hugging me tightly. The feeling is so enduring and warm. I haven't felt the hug of a best friend let alone anyone from my past that I actually cared about in forever and it was taking a huge toll on me. "I miss you so much, Dan." She whispers into my shoulder.

"I- I mean- god where did you go, Zoe? I looked everywhere for you and-"

But she just shushes me and pulls her face away with her arms still around my waist. "We'll talk about it. But I've actually been talking to Phillip here for quite a bit." She giggles and pulls away so that she can motion to phil who is standing there rather awkwardly.

Just his sight in general makes me give a huge grin. It takes everything in me not to run over there and kiss him. Still not very sure what we are yet, and I don't want to out anything to Zoe since she just arrived here. Instead I just let out a happy sigh and smile at him. It doesn't take long at all for him to do the same thing. Our eyes instantly meet and I know we need to stop so we don't out anything, but it takes Zoe stepping in front of him to make me look away.

"He's super cute." She reaches up and pinches Phil's cheek immediately causing him to blush deeply.

Yeah he really is. "Zoe can I talk to you alone please? We have a lot to catch up on." I breathe quietly as I walk over to them and place a hand on Phil's shoulder. "Do you mind, Phil?"

Our eyes meet again, but this time is way shorter when Phil surprises me by looking away with a smile. "Sure! I have to go fix up the room anyways." He gives both of us a glance before turning on his heel and walking away. Before he gets completely out of the room, he turns his head towards me and winks sending me into a fit of blush.

Soon after, I hear his footsteps reach his room and look back over at Zoe. "Explain this to me. Please."

She nods and walks over to the couch and sits. Awkward considering that was where I bit Phil- Oh shit! "Wait don't sit there-"

In a split second, Zoe swings her head in my direction; a look of shock and fury crossing her features. She smells it. "You bit him?" She hisses through tight teeth with wide eyes. Here we are, she hasn't even known Phil for a day and she's already being all protective over him. Well, its better than wanting to kill him.

"It was an accident that I got cleared up. Can we stay on topic please Zoe?" I run a hand messily through my hair and walk over to the couch so I can sit beside her. Instantly, my nose is filled with a flowery scent and the smell of lipstick. Zoe's presence in general has always been amazing, but there's something about this that's different. I just decide not to question it.

"Okay," she starts. "I know what you're going to ask. Vampire? Yeah. I am. And I started using blue contacts in the sixties when you could buy them at stores and all that so people wouldn't get suspicious. Eventually they made my originlal color, so since then I've used these. They're actually rather irritating and make my eyes itchy.." She rambles on and on about the freaking contacts, but that's not realy what I'm going for.

"Zoe, no. I'm looking for more complex ones like when did you get turned, who turned you, where did you go and why did you just randomly show up?" Rolling my eyes, I lean further back into the couch. I have a feeling this is going to take a lot longer than exected. Maybe I'll get one of the questions answered before Phil comes down.
