I didn't wake up until two days after the whole.. Phil incident.  I don't know how Troye managed to knock me out that long, but he definitely did a good job.

I woke up tangled in my sheets with him sitting in a chair next to where I was asleep; I guess it was to keep the sleeping spell or whatever working.  He'd fallen asleep though, so I assume that meant I could wake up.  Does that mean he stayed awake two whole days for me?

With a clearing of my throat, which was almost unbearably dry from my lack of blood, I spoke up.  "Troye?"  My voice is just a hoarse whisper at this point, but I really hope that its enough considering just that utter of words stung my throat like swallowing glass.

To my luck, it seemed to do the trick.  Troye jerks awake sharply and looks at me with wide eyes. "D-Dan.  Hey.  You're awake."  His voice is a bit hoarse, not nearly as bad as mine, which makes his voice seem even lower than usual.  Rather attractive if I'm being honest, but lets not go there.  I don't do people in relationships.

"Yeah."  I chuckle and sit up, allowing the thick comforter to slide off of me exposing my bare chest.  "I looked at my phone and saw you managed to keep me out for two days.  How's that even possible?"  I look over at Troye to see him rubbing his eyes tiredly.

"Well,"  He begins, not really bothering to look up at me.  "I used the little gift of shutting off certain feelings to your brain that I have, which seemed to do the job. Except for the fact that every time I stopped focusing on doing just that, the feelings would come right back and you'd be freaking out again..  Which I don't fully understand.  Usually one time does the trick but your brain seemed to keep switching back to what happened with you and Phil every time it got the chance.  So I stayed with you and made sure to keep you down as long as I could so that the feelings could diminish."

A deep sigh escapes his lips, and now that I'm actually looking at him correctly, I can see the dark bags under his eyes.  I can't believe he stayed up that long and put himself through such a draining task for someone he'd just met..  I think I'll be able to trust him after all.

"Here,"  I mumble as I throw the covers off of me and walk, unsteadily if I may add, towards Troye and grab his arm.  "How about you actually get some sleep, and I'll go get some blood since I'm currently dying of thirst, okay?"
All was going well, Troye was even in bed with the covers around him before he grabbed my arm.  "Zoe said not to let you out of my sight until she got back from town though.."  His eyes look worried, as if saying the wrong thing would send me over the edge.

I roll my eyes and laugh a bit.  "Troye, despite prior belief, I'm not a fragile child that will have a melt down over not getting an ice cream cone."

He chuckles tiredly at my sarcasm before giving me another sorrowful look.  "Yes, but Phil is back and its obviously not the way you expected him to be.  He fully rejected you, Dan.. that's one of the worst possible things one of you could do to each other with the bond you two share."

"Shared,"  I interject with a now hardened look on my face.

"Wha- No, Da-"

But I cut him off again.  "Look Troye, we can talk about all of this later.  Right now I need to go get some blood and you need to get some sleep, okay?"  Although I spoke it as a question, we both know that's how the situation is going to go regardless of what he tries to do to prevent it.

After a few long seconds, Troye finally sighs in defeat and covers himself up with the comforter.  "Okay whatever, but if you're not back by the time Zoe is, we'll definitely be doing some kind of tracking spell to find your ass."

The grin forms on my face again.  "I'm counting on it.  Now get some rest.. You deserve it."

Troye nods and I turn my back to him and head downstairs.
