"Honestly, Daniel, don't you think you and Phil here have had enough?" Zoe chuckles as Phil and I are on our fifteenth round of shots. Much? Haha no way. We're barely getting started. I shake my head and give her a drunken smile. "No mom."
Zoe squints her eyes at me before taking my shot. "Don't mom me. I'm just saying, humans don't have automatic healing kidneys."
Oh, she does have a point, but Phil doesn't get drunk often enough to have anything bad happen to him. Right?
Speaking of Phil. "Babe, lets do another." He slurs, pouring another round but only making a tiny fraction of the alcohol actually in the glasses. The rest pours right on the counter, the bartender giving him a disapproving look.
I can't help but smile at my overly intoxicated boyfriend, how his hair is messy all over again. He'd done it so nice earlier, but I'm not really complaining. His messy hair is almost equally as nice as his regular fringe that he hardly has time to actually do anymore. "I think you've had enough, love." I chuckle and take the bottle from his hand, earning a pouting face in return.
"Don't be a buzz kill, Dan." Phil rolls his eyes and looks over to the girl sitting next to him. "Excuse meee, would you let me have a sip of that?" He bats his eyelashes flirtatiously, and so does she as she slides the glass of whatever she has towards Phil.
Oh no she doesn't. "Phil, lets go home." I grab his hand lightly and tug him towards me, shooting daggers to the girl who shies away instantly. Good, I might as well tape a sign to his back that says: BOYFRIEND OF EVIL VAMPIRE; STEER CLEAR. Maybe then everyone would stop fucking flirting with him and pissing me off.
My thoughts are interrupted when I feel a hand sliding playfully up and down my thigh. Chills instantly wrack my whole body, and I look over to see Phil giving me a seductive, drunken grin. Of course our tiny moment is interrupted when the girl returns with one of her friends by her side. Did the evil death stare not give away the fact that she isn't wanted here?
She flicks her deep red hair out of her face, green eyes glaring up at me before landing back on Phil. "Will you dance with me?" She purrs quietly into his ear where she thinks I can't hear. Meanwhile her friend is saying something to me, but I don't care enough to pay attention to her.
"I love dancing!" Phil jumps up, grabbing a bottle of bourbon as he goes. I'm on my feet in seconds, but just as quickly I feel another pair of hands on my arm. I look back ready to compel the girl to leave me the hell alone, when I'm met with Zoe's icy blue eyes instead.
She glares over to the other girl. "Why don't you find someone else to give your STDs to and not my date?" Of course, she's compelling her. No normal girl would leave an insult like that hanging in the air without trying to pick a fight.
I glance over just in time to see that slut push her lips forcefully against Phil's. Zoe tenses up beside me, holding my arm tighter. "Dan, when I let you go don't kill her. Promise?" She tightens her grip until I'm forced to agree.
As soon as she lets go, I'm by their side in a flash. Phil's face looks rather disgusted which is relieving, but doesn't change the fact that this random girl just kissed Phil. My Phil.
Pushing Phil back, gently of course, I step in his place right in front of her, but before I can say anything she speaks herself. "Chris told me to tell Phil that he'd see him tomorrow and give him that." She gives an innocent but sneaky smile before turning away. She was compelled. Of course.
That bastard just can't take a hint can he?
My hands start shaking just thinking about it, and that's when I feel Phil intertwine his fingers with mine and pull me close to him again. Our eyes meet; his still playful and giddy as he leans forward so that he can whisper in my ear. "That was gross." He giggles like a little kid as we sway back and forth. "Definitely not as good as yours. I hope Chris doesn't kiss like that."
