I wake up with blood still lingering on my lips and chin. The girl I met last night, Nichole, lays next to me. I honestly went in to it expecting to just drink a bit, have sex and then make her forget, but then I got a bit carried away and drank too much. I think she's okay now. Her breathing is a bit shaky but at least she isn't dead. I don't need the police on my ass with all of this other stuff going on. Too many people saw me leave with her. There's no way I would've gotten away with her death without having to compel half of the town to forget it.

With a roll of my eyes, I wipe the extra blood off of my mouth and shake Nichole. "Come on now," I grumble. "I have shit to do."

Her brows furrow as she lets out a heavy sigh. "Leave me alone, David, I don't care what you made for breakfast."

I have to work extra hard to keep a laugh from escaping my lips. Instead I grab her and make her sit up until her eyes slowly flutter open. "I really drank too much from you didn't I?"

She gives me an annoyed look before taking in her surroundings. "What the hell are you talking about? Who even are you? Where am I and-" she touches her fingers to her neck, and her eyes go wide as she realizes how they're stained with her blood. "Why am I bleeding!"

"Hey hey now," I begin as I look into her eyes. "Lets not get loud. I'm sure there are more people in the house trying to sleep."

Just as quickly as she'd gotten worked up, she suddenly went blank as she stared back into my eyes.

Ah, the powers of compulsion. I'll never get enough of it.

"So, here's what you're going to do for me, Nichole," I whisper with my fake sincerity. "You're going to forget that I bit you. You're going to forget you even met me, and you're also going to wear a scarf around your neck until that nasty thing goes away, alright? And as soon as I'm done talking to you, I want you to leave. If anybody else in the house tries to ask you questions, simply ignore them and go your own way. Got it?"

She nods, the blank stare still planted across her face.

Once I break the compulsion, she gathers her things and leaves the room.

This isn't like me. I would usually at least sort of enjoy having sex with other people to spite Phil, to make him realize how much he hurt me and try to inflict that pain back on him. But I know he probably just went and had sex with Chris instead since they're technically together or whatever.

And here I am, not even being able to enjoy my midnight cravings because of the stupid blue eyed- well. Now red eyed boy.

All of my thoughts are put to a halt when I hear Troye call me from downstairs. "Dan!  Can you come here please?"

I hop out of the bed, throw on a pair of pants and a black (as always) shirt before rushing downstairs to Troye, who I've grown to feel way more comfortable with than anyone else in this town lately. "Coming," I sing in a playful manner.

Once out of the staircase, I head to the source of noise from Troye and the other two bodies with him that seem to be mumbling frantically. "-can't be me I was here all night."

"Do you think-"

Tyler's voice is cut off by Troye. "No way. He's not that stupid. We all know that."

"Oh," I chirp in with a sarcastic laugh. "I beg to differ."

All of their blue eyes tear away from the TV screen over to me. Tyler is giving me an accusing look while Zoe and Troye just seem worried.

"What's going on?"

Troye just nods his head towards the tv.
