A 'Quiet' Escape

We sat in the library quietly. My class had wide reading and Faye, Ace's older sister had a free period. Ender and I sat around the manga section reading with Faye sitting on the desk in front of us. We didn't really talk since she was two years older than us and My manga was more important than socialising, plus our teacher's a f*cking demon. Though, Ender and I got a long with her really well. But that's when we heard an ear piercing scream, followed by more and more screaming. I ignored it, concentrating on my reading, and turning up the music on my black and red headphones. There was some notice going around on the speakers, I didn't really hear it but I got the gist of it.

"Oh no it's a zombie apocalypse!" I said sarcastically, as I flipped my long messy light brown hair out of the way.
"Just like what Ace predicted." Ender added, as she fiddled with the huge silver hair clip, clipping back her long black hair.
But when I looked up again, over my reading glasses, I noticed the whole library was deserted, with Faye, chaining up the doors and shutting or the blinds.
"Guys! Are you going to give me a hand here?!"she asked harshly, with a scared look on her face.
"Why? What's up?"I asked worried, as I slipped off my headphones.
"T-There a-are zombies outside." she stammered scared out of her wits.
"WHAT?!?!"Ender and I shouted, as she pressed her hand into her face.
She quickly hurried over to the next load of windows as she fixed her thick black hair in a neat pony tail behind her head. She took off her glasses, slipping them onto her shirt. We quickly hurried over helping her out. After we knew we were 'safe' we sat down at a table trying to work out what to do.
"We can't stay in here forever, there are no food supplies here," Faye stated as she slipped back on her glasses.
"No shit Sherlock."I murmured as I glanced around.
"Well we could see what weapons we've got here. Wait until there are less of them outside and fight our way out."Ender suggested.
"Yeah, I'm sure that'll work."I said sarcastically.
"Quiet!"snapped Ender
"Well, at least she's contributing, unlikely someone certain."Faye commented, followed by a few fake coughs.
"Hey, maybe they're like the zombies from Highschool of the Dead?"I asked.
"What? You watched that! That was like porn!"Ender laughed as she pointed at me.
"Ura sai!"I snapped angrily back.
"Oi, I don't care about what porn you watch, just what's your point?"Faye sighed.
"Well in Highschool of the dead, the zombies couldn't see or feel anything. But they had good hearing."I said as they nodded understandingly.
"Ok then, Scarlette, you can experiment on the zombies while Ender and I look for supplies."order Faye as she stood up leaving me speechless.
"N-Na Ni?"I stammered as she walked over to look around the library.
"Good luck with that!" Ender gave me a cheesy smile, before following Faye.
"E-E-eh-EEEEEEHHHHH???!!!!"
I sighed as I pushed out my seat and walked over to the window. Right outside stood a walking rotting body. I jumped back a little in shock, but it clearly did not notice me, even though it was 'looking' straight at me. Blind I noted. I turned around to the book shelf and carefully pulled out a book and carefully opened the window. I threw it just past a pole, so the line of path to get to it was through a pole. The zombies around that area immediately hurried over towards the sound. definitely can hear but not super hearing, like I'm Highschool of the Dead But when they reached the pole, it seemed as if they noticed that it was was there but they couldn't feel it very well. So, sensitivity; not very good But just as soon as I was wondering what else to do, I noticed a group of boys and girls run out of the main building, into the 'field' of zombies. They swung their 'weapons' around the place widely. I observed carefully, as soon as one of them had a grip on you were basically screwed. In my natural nature, I had no desire to save them, but I still felt sorry for them. I noticed that a direct bite at a vital blood stream turned you into one of them in seconds but some of them bitten on the arm seemed fine. Eventually I turned back to the others to tell them my results.
"Ok... So after they chill and there aren't so many of them, we should just be able to sneak past them?"Faye asked.
"Techinally, yes."I answered as they nodded.
"Ok, to weapons. Use this as like armor. Are you good with aiming?"she asked as she handed my some magazines and duct tape.
"Yeah...?"I answered half unsure of myself.
"Good, take this."she handed me a staple gun and a long metal pole with a sharp end, I assumed it was a broom and they just broke it off.
Faye held a keyboard and a two meter ruler in her other hand. And Ender had a long pole with a pair of scissors taped on the end, plus an umbrella with a sharp end.
"Oh and, one of the teachers left their handbag here and they had their car keys in it so I took them."Faye said, dangling the car keys before us. I noticed that Faye seemed really worried, I assumed she was worried about her brother, like I am slightly worried about the others.
"Hey don't worry. He's probably still alive with the others. Not saying they would probably sacrifice him first, or that he might be the first one to die, but yeah!" I said as I patted her on the back with a smile on my face.
She just returned a glare at me as Ender highfived her face, and sighed.
"You're not helping Scarlette."she sighed.
"Whaaat?"I answered innocently.
"Anyway, I had a look outside. It's probably as clear as it's going to be. There are only about ten zombies spread out, outside."I finally said as we stood up picking up our weapons.
"Any food, supplies or whatever you have just put it in your sport bag and only take your sport bag."
Ender said as we did so.
We walked over to the door prepared. I placed my hand on the handle and took a deep breath in. Ok, let's go I turned the handle and pushed the door open slowly. Straight away I noticed the first zombie, walking carefully around it, as the others followed. We were heading to the parking lot at the back of the hall.  But as soon as I walked closer to the hall I noticed there were tones of zombies hanging around that area. I immediately stopped, causing the others to smash right into me.
"Hey, watch it!" I whispered harshly.
But obviously not softly enough, all the zombies closest to us, turned immediately towards us.
"Shit..take mushrooms!"I swore as I swung my pole back and forward, straight into the zombies before me.
"Just move!" shouted Ender as she shoved us out of the way holding her open umbrella before her.
"Stay closely behind me! And run as fast as you can!" she ordered as she ran straight into the mob them. She held the open umbrella before her like a shield, pushing back all the zombies away from her before they could even get a hold of her. That's when I noticed something, they were all pretty slow, in the sense that they had a slow reaction. But anyway, we finally got past the mob running straight towards the three parked cars. Faye immediately held the keys in front of her hitting the unlock button. There was loud clicking sound, we quickly ran over to the car which made that sound and jumped in, which was a white van. I found it amusing that it was a white van, must be the family car. 
"Faye! Can you drive?!"we both asked.
"Yes!...And no!"she slipped the key in and started up the engine.
She started to talk softly to herself as if she was trying to remember how to drive.
"JUST DRIVE!"I shouted impatiently as I slammed down on the pedal for her.
We went zooming straight ahead, almost into the wall. She swerved straight into the mob and made a sharp turn to the right, bursting out of the school gates and on to the road.
"Where are we going?"Faye shouted.
"No need to shout! Gosh is it like hereditary? Ace shouts all the time as well!" shouted Ender annoyed, as she leaned forward.
"We can go get supplies at my apartment. So just go to Chatswood Concours. And I'll tell you where to go from there."I sighed as I sunk back into my seat.
