Chapter 4

Cooperation???

Echo

We almost fell straight onto the floor as Alice went full speed ahead.

"ALICE WHAT THE HELL? STAHP!!"Ace screamed, gripping onto a pole.
"Ok."She responded calmly as the bus suddenly stopped, jerking everyone straight off their feet.
"What the hell, Alice?!? Just drive normally!"Dean shouted as he picked himself up.
"How can I drive 'normally' when I don't know how to drive?? Where are we even driving to?"Alice asked as she got up and walked over to everyone else.
"I dunno!"I said annoyed.
"Then how am I suppose to drive without you guys shouting at me!?"she said back, starting to raise her voice.
"I dunno! What, do you want me to drive?"Ace suggested annoyed.
"NO no no no no no....no.... Just no."we all responded quickly.
"You guys are so mean. I hat you all,"He murmured back.
"Well then WHERE ARE WE GOING?"butted in Alice impatiently.
"I TOLD YOU I DON'T KNOW!"I responded angrily.
Why the hell is she getting mad at me?
"And I don't know either!"Ace raised his hands defensively.
I turned around for support, only to see Dean looking at us annoyed and Dawn sitting down quietly reading a book while listening to her phone.
"Urgh! Then why did you get me to drive!"
"I didn't get you to drive, you just got in the seat and stepped on the accelerator!"
"Hey, guys we just need to chill."Dean said trying to calm us down.
But unfortunately Ace and Alice both ignored him and continued to argue. Now and then I joined in but I mostly just tried to stay out of it. Usually they don't really fight a lot but in a group assignment once they got in a argument.
"Hey guys..."Dawn said, finally speaking up.
"Oi! Shut up and listen to Dawn!"Dean and I shouted at them, but again we were ignored.
"Hey! I'm not the one who has a girl's name even though I'm a boy!"shouted Alice.
Which didn't really make a lot of sense since Alice was girl, but still Ace wasn't one and we've gone through a lot of arguments about whether Ace was a boys name or girls.
"HEY I SAID SHUT UP!"I shouted above them.
"Guys!"Dawn started to raise her worried voice.
"GUYS!!"Dean and I shouted as we stormed over, trying to physically shut them up. That's what she said....
"ALICE JUST FAQUING DRIVE!!!"shouted Dawn, censoring herself.
We all shot our glaze over to her, noticing the bus was surrounded with zombies, with a few trying to climb through the broken windows.
"Shit."I murmured as Alice slipped back into the driving seat and slammed down her foot onto the pedal.
We shot forward running over all the zombies in front of us. Ace and I both ran over to the windows to deal with them. We both stared swinging our weapons aiming for its head, causing it to let go immediately.
"Home run baby."Ace smiled as he turned to me.
He then hurried over to Alice who was just driving straight ahead.
"Hey, I'm sorry about before." he apologized as he placed his hand on her shoulder.
"No it's ok, I'm sorry too."she answered not looking up from the road.
"Let's head towards Chatswood, there'll probably be a lot of supplies there. And you never know The others might have the same idea as us."Ace said sensibly as  he turned back to us, taking a seat next to Dean as I sat next to Dawn, listening to her music as well.
"That was very mature of you." Dean commented as he raised an eyebrow.
"Shut up."mumbled Ace as he shot back a playful glare.
I simply smiled as we sat in 'silence' for about five seconds before we started talking. We didn't talk about much other than, all the creepy smutty stuff Ace comes across a lot. As innocent as Dawn was we had to explain to her what some of the words and stuff we used and joked about to her.
"I'm fondling my book."Dawn, said as she thrummed her fingers all over her book.
Ace and burst out laughing our heads off, as Dawn gave us a questionable look.
"Dawn! Don't use words you don't understand!"I laughed.
But soon enough we started to slow down as Ace got up to see where we were. We were at our destination, the streets dyed red, quiet as a graveyard. It was so different to see the once busy and lively streets turned into quiet, bloody deserted streets.
"Shit, man."I murmured as we started to drive closer towards the center of Chatswood.
"We should probably stop here and start scouting."I said as we started to approach the Concourse.
I felt the bus stop as Alice parked the bus on the side of the road.
"Illegal parking!"commented Ace as he jumped up.
"It doesn't matter we're in a fricken zombie apocalypse."I rolled my eyes as He smiled.
"Ok C'mon, we all need to always stay in a group. Alice'll have the keys. But if any of us are ever separated from the group meet here."I said as everyone responded with a reassuring nod and smile. We walked out of the bus; Alice locking the bus. As we started to head further down the street we noticed another car, a silver Honda. We quickly hurried over to it, our weapons ready in hand. But 'luckily' the car was empty. Dean bent down touching the bottom of the car.
"It's still hot. By the way it's 'parked' it could be someone who has no idea how to drive or this was driven by a zombie or somebody was driving it and was killed." Dean listed the possible possibilities.
"Ok, we should start moving now."Dawn commented as we turned in her direction.
There were two ways we could go, up or down. Either way there were tones of shops and supermarkets.
"To get this over and done with quickly, we need to split up. I'll go with Alice and Dawn, Ace and Dean you guys go together." they all nodded in agreement, no one complaining.
"We'll go up and you guys go down. Right now it's 12:34 we'll re-group here at 3:20."Ace said as he gestured forwards and back.
We all nodded as we all turned our separate ways.
