A/N Uuhhh Warning? Violent content? Well I THINK it isn't as bad as Claude's death... it isn't so don't worry about it!
We walked down hallway after hallway just yapping about random shit, when, as we walked past the fire stair door a loud bang echoed up or down and through to our ears. I gave Echo a curious look, not sure or what it could be, hoping that team Tash and Ace were ok. But it only got worse, the banging and clanging sounding more violent messed in with some painful grunts. (heh heh heh *wink* *wink*)
"Shit Echo... I think something's up."I brought up as I fiddled with my glasses worriedly.
She nodded an agreement as we stayed silent just incase if there were infected.
"We should probably head up to the upper entry since it's closer to whatever's going down."
I observed as she held back a laugh before agreeing.
We crept down the hallways together slaughtering everything out of the way. I personally loved my bleach gun, in was brilliantly dangerous. The only problem was it was also indirect and hard to control along with the fact I had to wear gloves all the time. The second we reached the fire exit the door flew open, two figures were flew to the floor, wrestling to take the other person's breath.
"Hey Kat."Echo called, snapping me out of recalling everything that had happened causing us to tie one of our close friends to a pillar with a girl I hardly know.
"Hm?"I responded turning my head slightly trying to get my sound to reach the other side of the cement pillar.
"Do you think we used too much?"She was referring to the sleep medicine that we used to knock them out.
I'm not particularly sure what it was since Echo was the one who picked it up from the chemist or drug store...you never know. It was a smart idea though.
"Naw, they'll be ok."
"...Hey do you think Ace is infected?"Echo suggested, which I understood since we saw him bite her.
But then if he was he would be one of them by now. Plus Ace bites everything and everyone, so in a battle I guess it's not a shocker. I explained my reasons to her when suddenly I noticed movements coming from the other pillar. We'd tied Tash and Ace on either side of the rectangular block with duct tape. Tash was awake and as expected struggling. I stood with a sigh, Echo following closely behind me quickly checking on Ace, noticing that he was still out.
"Echo! Katrissa! Please! You have to hear me out! Ace...He's lost it! We got in a fight because he tried to rape me! Please trust me! We need to go on with just us! Don't trust the males! They just want us for sex! Please! I'm doing this for you! They have no hope in humanity-"Tash pleaded desperately.
"Like the rest of us..."Echo butted in, which I have to agree with her, I mean who actually had faith in humanity in the first place?
"-All they think we're going to have to do is reproduce! He tried to rape me! Please just believe me!"She pleaded, before continuing to rant.
Honestly this is really bad for Echo's health. Like she already has trust issues and this is just making it worse...'honestly' ohohoho Urgh I think I'm driving myself crazy by talking to myself... Anyway, even what Tash is ranting about seems pretty realistic... Like if it wasn't Ace I think I'd believe her more... But still. I gave out a heavy sigh while pushing up my glasses stressfuly. Eventually Echo actually got her to shut up, and We moved back to where we were sitting before. As my mind was wondering I remembered something. Ace had two pairs of large kitchen scissors strapped to his legs incase of emergency. We'd already taken away his main weapon, his hedge cutters, but we'd forgotten about those kitchen scissors, which are probably one of the most dangerous. They're pointed and extremely sharp. Even before the whole apocalypse started he'd always have a pair of scissors in his pocket, bag or whatever. But then, I've got a feeling Echo realized this before, when we were first confiscating all their weapons. Well I guess somehow she still trusts him, which is unbelievably cuutttee!!! But then honestly they're more of an Brotp for me... Blake and Dean's my OTP. Hohohohoho♪( 'θ`)ノ Again lost in my thoughts, I was broken from them by Ace bugging me.
"Oi, Kat, Kat, cat, Kat, Katty, Kat, Kitty, Katty, cat, Kat." he demanded over and over again.
"Yeah?"I finally responded, rolling my head back onto the pillar completely.
"Next time Tash rants, look into her eyes carefully, observe her."he whispered to me, and I made sure to take note of that.
"Argh... My gosh, Echo! How much did you get of that beeping drug?"Ace sighed tiredly.
"Hm? You're awake."
"Duh."
"I got it in the back alleyway."Echo smiled she got up to check on him.
As soon as she was close enough he grabbed her collar dragging her closer, whispering the same thing to her softly but clearly. I guess Ace was able to see her worry and gave her a 'reassuring' smile. It must be because of her sisters and stuff. Which makes me wonder... How's Faye? Like Ace told us that she joined another group with her friends... But I never thought of Faye as the type of person to leave her little brother in another group. Plus I've noticed that recently he's been taking in a higher amount of candy, sweets, just about anything that's like 100% sugar. I guess it's kind of like taking drugs, making him go on serious sugar highs 24/7. Plus his eyes are kind of puffy in the morning, but that could just be me seeing things in my morning drowsy state.
"I'm sure they're fine."he smiled as Echo replied with a forced worried smile.
I turned back to Tash who started flipping put again, as Echo joined me to observe her as she ranted. That's when I noticed, I saw the constant shaking in her eyes, the tremor or her lips. But there something different about these... behaviors. They're not in fear... Loss of sanity... Or... Well technically fear can be a reason of insanity, as well as death, gore, other people's loss of sanity. But if I am to trust Ace then Tash really has lost it. I flicked my gaze to Echo for a second who looked as if she was working through the same thought process as me. But then what the heck are we suppose to do with her? I hadn't noticed how much time had past, and how much of the light we had lost. It was already getting late, judging by the only light sources being the broken flickering lights.
"Shit, Kat! Echo! I'm going to have a seizure!"Ace spoke mildly, mock panic, as he started to spazzing out.
He'd always joke about seizures and do the same spazz attacks when we were back together as a group and stuff.
"Keep it down, Ace. You'll attract Walkers."Echo sighed as she slid down the pillar folding in her legs as she rested.
"How do you know that's not what I want to do?"he smiled sneakily.
That was an idiotic move. I mean like he should already know that we're a little wary about trusting him, and that's not helping.
"Hahaha! I'm just teasing you! You guys should probably get some sle-"
"Don't listen to him! What did I tell you? His just tricking yo-"
"Shut up! Don't listen to her BS!"
But before they could continue Echo made them both shut up, with a strict scolding... Just like a mother... Or father. We decided on taking two hours shifts, since one hour isn't enough for Echo to fall asleep and I doubt two hours is enough either by her constant tired attitude. I sighed as I leaned back on the pillar, stretching my legs as I stood. I was on first shift which sucked because I really couldn't be bothered to walk anymore. All I really had to do was circle our area constantly, but it was still tiring as hell. Griping my gun worriedly, I noticed a shift in the shadows, before quickly dismissing it, before circling back around again. That's when I remembered I still had a packet of Pocky in hand, so ripping open the packet I popped one in my mouth and ate it like a cigarette. Really it just took my mind off things, make me relax... But not for long. I suddenly felt a sharp pain in the back of my head, followed by my vision blurring and the floor falling closer at the second. For a moment I blacked when I hit the floor, but not for long because I was straight back on my feet... But my weapons out of sight. Frick It didn't take long for me to find the culprit, Tash, she had Echo at gun point. I quickly glanced around for a weapon, finding the wooden plank that Tash had conveniently tried to kill or knock me out with. As soon as I armed myself I found not only Echo but also myself, at a halt, at gun point. Shit but not shit. Yes she did have two guns but she couldn't keep an eye on both of us at once, so we'd at least have a chance. But then again, why isn't she just bleaching our faces off? What does she want? Negotiation, possibly? I opened my mouth to speak when suddenly Ace came of no where, crash tackling her, wrestling. Echo and I quickly ducked out of the way, just missing the the bleach. As soon as we returned to our two feet, a loud scream erupted from Ace as the bleach ate away at his right eye. Falling back, Tash took advantage, But not for long, Echo grabbed hold of her cleaver before Tash could make another move, bringing the blade to her throat. Her death would be truly magnificent if Echo was to kill her right now. I noticed the lack of fear through her body language as she stared back into Echo's brown eyes. At that point I didn't think about Ace, I only thought about this battle, observing each 'competitors'' movement. Yet they still didn't move only stared.
"What. Are you going to kill me? A living breathing human? Well I guess it wouldn't make a difference, compared to all those... What do you call them? Walkers? Yeah, compared to all those 'Walkers' you've killed" She sneered.
I noticed the affect it made on Echo, it shot he like a bullet, yet she was still able to mask it so beautifully. I hardly processed the words myself, not taking in the meaning of interest. Just let them go over my head. And just like that, yet again, Ace gate crashed their face off.
"SHUT. THE. FUCK. UP!!!!"he shouted, anger flaring in his eyes, as he plunged a pair of those sharp kitchen knives into her chest.
She immediately stumbled back, as Echo stepped back, Ace throwing Tash to the floor as He completely topped her. He sat on her, using his small weight to keep her down, as he yet again, raised the blades, plunging them back into her soft now crimson skin. Her own now bloody hands tried to stop him... And that's when he went for the throat. After one 'blunt' stab, it was followed by an open blade. The two blades pressed against her perfect neck, only to slice it open as the blades sawed through her tender muscles only to meet once again within her throat. Before ripping out of her throat, he pushed further, until the scissors hit the back of her neck, slicing through the skin at the back of her neck, probably breaking through a joint. And as he tore out the scissors, a ribbon of blood followed his bloody hands. Even though his body was practically soaked in her blood. For a second I saw madness in his eyes... But as he drew back for another strike I processed it and quickly looked away. The force he was using must've been fricking strong, he was able to plunge the scissors through her skull, followed by multiple stabbing to her torso. With every movement his hair dipping further, soaking in his enemy's bloody, along with his now tainted skin. Yet somehow I found the sight beautiful, it didn't stop me from my body, reacting with fear, my head spinning from the gore and panic freezing my brain. Bringing my shaking head towards the sight once again, Ace seemed to freeze. As if someone or something told him to stop.
"I-I c-can-n't-t b-breath!"he gasped tears filling his eyes, and like that he fell on his side, gasping for air as he propped himself up on his bloody forearms.
Echo was on the side like me, frozen in shock, just like me.
