A Bloody Reunion

We turned to Westfield, heading straight into hell. The whole place was swarming with the infected, the carpet damp from blood.

"Hey, why don't we head down to Target. It's a good place to get everything that we need. And then there's a Coles near by so we can drop by it on the way back." I suggested as everyone agreed with a steady nod.
We stayed close to the walls, always keeping our back to the wall. Staying clear of any zombies. When we reached Target, we quickly ran down the escalator, trying not to slip on the blood. As we walked over to the clothing section I noticed some bloody footsteps along the floor. But they could be from anything of one. I ignored them and searched for a change of clothes. I took hold of a leather jacket, a light blue T-shirt and a pair of skinny jeans. I quickly slipped out of my dirty bloody ones and slipped on the clean new ones, including a pair of boots. When I turned back to the others, they had already changed. Katrissa wore a dressy but particle shirt with jeans and a leather jacket with zippers here and there, Suki a long yellow shirt with dark grey jeans and again a denim jacket, she'd kept her original sport shoes on though. Blake, a lose white shirt, skinny jeans, a big dark blue hoodie and combat boots
"C'mon let's start movin' and finding some weapons." edged Blake as he started to head towards the gardening aisles, his sneakers squeaky.
I suddenly stopped and looked down one of the aisles, everyone walking past me. I swear I heard talking and foot steps... We continued to walk around until I realized that it's been like half an hour and we still weren't at the gardening section.
"Blake? Where the hell are we going?"Katrissa finally commented, taking the words right out of my mouth.
"I dunno?"he simply answered while flailing his arms about.
"Very helpful."grumbled Katrissa as she turned down a different aisle.
I sighed before following them, again I heard some moving noises. That's until I started to hear barking and a bunch of animal Steps and human footsteps. Then it came to my mind. There was a pet shop on one of the levels. Plus I wonder if the disease actually effects them. Like if an infected bit an animal.
The footsteps started to come closer as we all stopped and looked at each other, ready to fight. I quickly turned to the direction of the footsteps and held my weapon before me. Suddenly Ace and Dean came running out of no where holding many different weapons, followed by an angry pack of dogs and cats. Except their fur had mostly rotted away, only revealing bloody rotting skin. Ace and Dean's eyes widened as they kept on running, straight into us.
"Shitenhousen!" swore Dean as he ran straight into and on top of Blake, who then bumped into me.
Ace bumping straight into Suki then Into Katrissa. But when I opened my eyes from the fall I came face to face with an infected cat. I immediately grabbed the first thing in reach, a metal bat and swung it straight into the animal's skull. It went flying off me after a single crack, followed by a ribbon of blood. I jumped up, the bloody bat in hand and quickly hurried to Katrissa's aid. But as soon as I had gotten up, Ace had already cut off the animal's heads with her hedge cutters. I stared at the bloody mess in shock and tried to steady my breathing, as Ace and Blake finished off the rest of the animals.
"Blake!"Dean finally exclaimed as soon as they were finished killing the infected.
Dean and Blake both embraced each other happy to see each other. Katrissa immediately launched herself onto Ace, wrapping her arms around his shoulders and rubbing her face on his.
"Katrissa... Can you not? Like I'm happy to see you just stop rubbing your face on mine."sighed Ace as Katrissa refused to stop.
Ace eventually got Katrissa off him as she went off to attach herself onto Dean. Ace gave Suki and I both a smile and an awkward hug. But after the reunion, Dean explained that they were on their way to meeting up with Echo, Dawn and Alice, who have food supplies. I couldn't wait to get some sweet food into my system. We helped out hold all the weapons , and I headed on wards next to Ace as we started to work our way back to the Concourse.
Dean and Blake seemed to be enticed in their own 'game' or conversation. As Katrissa and Ace talked about writing and manga/anime, involving Suki and I now and then. When we finally got there, I saw more than just what we had expected, Scarlette, Ender and Faye were there as well! A huge smile grew across my face as I jogged faster in excitement. Ace immediately sprinted over running straight into his older sister's arms. They were really close, and I can tell why, Faye seemed like the best sister ever (excluding my own sister) and was an awesome cosplayer. Scarlette and Ender also received a 'bro' hug from Ace. We agreed to use the bus, so we all loaded ourselves on as Alice immediately jumped on the wheel and slammed down on the pedals, as we zoomed straight ahead.
"How'd you guys get here?"Suki finally asked, breaking up everyone's separate conversations.
"We had to climb out the window and run to this bus."explained Dawn as she looked up from her book.
"Mkay, we had to run from the library to the carpark and jump into a white van."Scarlette slipped off her head-phones to hear what everyone else was talking about.
"Ooohhh! That was the creepy white van!"exclaimed Alice from the front.
"Mhmm!"
"So how'd you guys get here?"Echo sat down with a sigh, next to Dawn as Katrissa immediately started playing with her hair from the seat behind her.
"We kind of just ran and 'drove' here."Suki explained as she glanced over at me, as I just returned an innocent smile.
"So where're we going?"I asked as we all sat around each other.
"Well, we'll need to get a lot of supplies. And maybe a place to stay?"Ender suggested.
"I guess."we all responded.
"We should probably distribute the weapons, so here." Ace an Dean started to hand out the weapons to everyone, I gave the metal bat that they had dropped before to Faye who wanted it. And Ace handed me an Axe. Katrissa, was giventwo bleach guns , Blake a cricket bat, two metal rods were given to Suki, Dawn a pickaxe, Alice receivinga nail gun. Scarlette and Ender already had a sword each and Echo didn't have a weapon yet. We just dumped all the unnecessary weapons out the window or kept them just in case. As we drove on Ace suddenly sprung up telling Alice to stop. But as soon as the bus stopped everyone went flying forward.
"Ace! What's wrong?"Alice asked shocked.
"There's an electronic shop there! I wanna see if there's a radio."Ace said as he leaned over pressing a button to open the doors.
"You guys stay here. Echo, Scarlette and Alice, move your ass."Ace ordered as he jumped down on to the foot path.
"You mean asses."corrected Blake, from sittig on Dean's lap.
"Grammar Nazi!"Ace called from outside.
The Three of them hopped out of the bus following Ace as he walked towards the electronic shop. They said a few things and then split up, Echo and Scarlette going into the Butcher, to the left of the electronics store, Ace and Alice going into the electronic shop.
"What do you think they're doing?"asked Suki as she climbed on to one of the seats next to me, starring out the window as well.
"Getting Echo a weapon, duh."Blake answered bitterly to Suki, as she simply ignored his tone of voice and tried to hide her dislike for him.
I smiled at this, it was pretty amusing.
"Oy, Blake, don't be mean."scolded Dean from underneath him.
Blake just ignored his words and poked his tongue out at Suki, only making me giggle.
"Blake can you please get off me now?"asked Dean as he started to push him of his lap.
"Yeah please, just get a room and leave lap dancing for when you two're alone."Katrissa winked as Blake gave her a sour look.
Blake stood up obediently and sat on the floor almost like a dog, staring innocently at him.
