"I'm home," Lisa threw her bag on the couch and went straight to the kitchen to get a glass of water.
"Ooh, you're home. How nice to experience that you went straight to home after school."
Lisa grinned at her mother's confession.
When she was in Seoul, she would come home in the evening, or sometimes at night. She would switched her cell phone off so that her parents wouldn't keep calling her as it would interrupt her training at the gym and also when she was in a free fighting competition.
Yes, she often joined this unofficial matches. Apart from honing her skills, the payment was quite good for her. And of course this thing made their parents worried and angry, moreover whenever she came home with bruises on her face and body.
Lisa isn't a stupid student, in fact her grades are pretty good. She's just a little lazy because she prefers to spent time in the boxing gym than studying.
Various kinds of punishments had been given to her, from the mild one to the severe but still unable to change Lisa to leave the world she loves so much, boxing.
"How was your first day at school? Did you make any chaos there? How about your new friends? Did you make friends with them?" Her mother bombarded her with questions.
Lisa wiped her mouth with the sleeve of her hoodie, "Nothing special."
She then approached her mother who is baking cakes.
"Why do you make so many cakes, Mom?"
"Oh, this is for our neighbors. We're new residents here, so we have to introduce ourselves to them." She puts the cakes in the boxes.
"Go change your clothes and send these to our neighbors."
"What? Mom... Why me? I just arrived."
"I only have you. So who else can I get to deliver these cakes?"
"At least let me enjoy my lunch first."
"You didn't eat lunch at school?"
"Nope."
"Why so?"
"I didn't want to."
"Alright, you just send this cake to our next door neighbor, while I'm gonna prepare your lunch."
"Fine..."
Lisa headed to her room and came back downstairs in a few minutes after changing her uniform.
She returned to her mother who is still busy with her pastries and her lunch.
"Which one should I take to next door, Mom?"
"This." Her mother gave her a box of cake.
"I'm going now."
Lisa left her mother and headed to the house which is right next to her house.
.
.
.
.
.A white house that looks almost the same as Lisa's. The front terrace is spacious, and has two floors. A large front yard. It's just that the yard is a bit poorly maintained, the trees are tall and some of the plants look thick.
Lisa entered the front yard of the house which is without a fence and headed for the veranda where there is a pink iron swing.
'Maybe there's a kid here', thought Lisa.
She immediately knocked on the door of the house. Several times she knocked but there is no answer.
"Looks like this house is empty," she muttered.
