Chapter 16

Rosé is still looking down, pouty lips. Playing her hair with her fore finger, rolling it and curling it as if it was noodles. She thought that she has taken the wrong decision, but she also knew that nothing she can do.

"It's getting hot here," Lisa spoke up, wiped her sweat runs down on her forehead and around her eyes. The sun bastes the room with its heat, searing her flesh.

"Lets meet after school in my cafe." Jisoo knocking her knees against the tile floor, pushed herself to stand up.

"Your cafe?" Lisa asked.

"J & J, Lis." Jennie replied in a weak tone.

"Aah, okay. J & J, the cafe where we had our first dinner date, right?"

"Uhum," Jennie nodded.

"What date?" Jisoo and Rosé spoke in unison.

"You and Jennie? Dating?" Jisoo raised an eyebrow. There's a fleeting glint of anxious and fear in her eyes.

"Well, literally yeah. Before I found out her real condition. But even though I know her condition, I won't stop dating her." Lisa smiled at Jennie whom is now looking and smiling at her too.

"Are you out of your mind?!" Rosé snapped out, her eyes nearly fall out.

"Perhaps. You can call me crazy or anything, I don't care." Lisa stood up, patting her butt cleaning the invisible dust.

"Like I said, lets meet in my cafe after school."

"Okay."

Rosé finally lifted herself up, feeling too exhausted and angry to protest. She cleaned her uniform, combing her hair with her fingers. Still trying to look neat.

They walked out of the room. Lisa looked back towards Jennie. Something moved in her chest, worries.

"Are you okay, Nini?"

"I don't know." She shook her head. "I'm feeling weak."

"What happened? Is there something wrong?" Jisoo asked. She looked at Lisa, her eyes studied Lisa's.

"Jennie said, she feels weak."

"Ooh, then what can I do? I mean, what can we do?"

"I don't know. This is the first time she's being like this."

Lisa came closer to Jennie. "Is it because the daylight, Nini?"

"Maybe. I'm not sure."

"My classes won't be over soon. Do you think you're still able waiting for me?"

"I'll take her home." Jisoo said.

"Eeh? What? How?"

"I have a car. And I'm not in the mood for spending my day in the class."

"Yeah, I know. But you can't see her."

"Where's the stick, Lis? I can use it again. I'll take Jisoo's offer."

"Ahh, yes. You're right." Lisa took out the stick from her chest pocket.

"This...." She gave the stick to Jisoo.

"What for?" Jisoo looked at the stick with her astonish expression.

"To hold her. So you will know that she's with you."

"She-'s w-what? You mean, I- I can feel her?"

"I don't know if you will feel her. Here-" Lisa handed sthe stick to Jisoo.

Jisoo gulped hard, she felt something when Jennie held the other side of the stick. It was shaky and a bit heavy as she felt a weight on the stick she was holding.
