Chapter 4-Scorpius

When Cap confronted me, she was right. I was exhausted, but you can't blame me! I'm pressured, if I fail everyone fails. And, I still had to spend time with everyone else, after all, I'm supposed to be allowed a little fun. But finally, it was all over, the entrance exam was today, and I'd purposefully gone to sleep earlier to be well-rested.

The written exam was first, and I think I did well. I'm not sure, I don't know if I studied enough for it. I have to calm my nerves now because Present Mic is telling us what the entrance exam will be.

After Present Mic finished with his explanation of the entrance exam, we were loaded into buses and shipped to our test centers. I was in Area C, and there were a few people with interesting looks.

I step up to the front of the gate and see a few other people standing at the front of the gate as well. There was a short boy, not that short, with a bird head, and I immediately saw he was a Scorpio. There was a tall girl, with bright green hair, and a birthmark on her chin. The last person was also a boy, with blonde hair, and a black streak in his hair. He was a Cancer, I decided not to approach any of them.

The blonde came up to me, with a smile, but before he could say anything we were told to go. I ran forward, and into the mock city.

I quickly scaled one of the buildings and saw kids everywhere, some fighting bots, some just wandering around aimlessly.  I put my wrist up to the sky, and a small black scorpion climbed out of my tattoo.

The scorpion crawls onto the ground and it becomes bigger, about the size of a horse. "Destroy the bots," I say, and get onto the back of the scorpion.

I'm not the type of person to count how many points I racked up, so I didn't count. I saved the blonde from a three-pointer. I think he was suffering from quirk overuse because he had two thumbs up and was going "Wheeee" I left him after that, to go get more points.

There were so many funny reactions from people who were confused to see me on a giant scorpion running around destroying the bots.

I was deep in the city, there weren't that many people around when I heard something like an earthquake. I look around trying to find the source of it when I remember something Present Mic said.

Flashback

"These bots are huge, and don't give you any points, they're more like an obstacle, it's best to just avoid them." Present Mic explains when the navy blue-haired boy stands up and starts ranting about how UA is so prestigious and a mistake on the paper is dumb, or something like that.

End of Flashback

Just as I was about to turn the scorpion around, I heard a scream. My common sense said that they wouldn't let anyone die here, and there are a million other reasons someone could be screaming. But my hero mind screamed at me that, that reason is stupid and I should go see what's going on.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not Gemini who has a trillion, billion, million, hundred thousand personalities, but I did have common sense, and then the mind of something a hero would do.

Naturally, I followed my hero mind, and begrudgingly headed in the opposite direction everyone else was going. When I got there I saw a short girl with hair that went down to her forearms, with two giant horns in her head.

When I got there I saw that some rubble was crushing the girl's foot, I could already see crimson blood staining the rock. I took a breath inward, it looked bad.

I ordered my scorpion to remove all the rubble around her, while I checked to make sure she was okay. "Are you okay?" I ask.

"My foot hurts like hell, and one of my fingers feels like it was crushed by Godzilla's foot." I caught a bit of a southern accent in her voice. And she had a sense of humor, which was wonderful.

I laughed a bit and saw that my scorpion had removed all the rubble. "Here. I'm Scorpious, but call me Scorpio." I introduce myself while giving her a hand. The girl gladly took it.

"Pony Tsunotori, call me by my first name please. I'm not sure if you've noticed yet, but I'm from America, we don't do last names, or suffixes after our names." The girl-Pony- introduces. Before we can talk anymore though I hear the giant footsteps of the Zero-pointer.

"Not to be rude or anything, but the Zero-Pointer is coming, do you want a ride on him?" I ask, gesturing to my giant scorpion that was lounging around.

"Is it safe?" Pony asks, I nod in response. We both get onto him, and we ride off on him into the sunset.

No, I'm kidding, it's not like one of those movies where the prince saves the damsel in distress, and they ride off into the sunset to get married and live happily ever after.

Pony and I were on my scorpion trying to escape the wrath of the zero-pointer.

Pony and I weren't that deep in the city anymore and were starting to see other people around when it was announced that the test was over. " That was amazing! I've never ridden on a giant scorpion before!" Pony exclaims. I chuckle.

"Well most people never get that luxury, they're not as amazing as us," I say, faking a haughty tone.

Then I look down at the ground and notice Pony's foot. As if on cue, she collapses, I rush over to her and prop her up on my scorpion.

I see an old lady handing out gummies to people, while everyone parts like the red sea and the old lady walks through like Moses. The old lady was probably the school nurse, so I parted with Pony, and the old lady kissed Pony's foot. It was mesmerizing to watch as Pony's food bent back into place.

I heard some kids whispering that her name was Recovery Girl and that she was the only reason they could hold an entrance exam like this.

After that Pony and I exchanged numbers, and we parted ways. To say I was going to be nervous until my results came was an understatement.

Did they even send you anything if you didn't get in? What if they just didn't give you any notice if you didn't get it?
