Chapter 22-Scorpius

I ignored everyone's commentary about Bakugo's match and zeroed in on the match that was currently about to start. Midoriya Versus Todoroki. "Cap who do you think is going to win? I'm going to bet that it's going to be Todoroki. I don't have anything on me right now, but I'll write you a check when we get home." I said to her.

"You know who I'm betting on," Cap said. Well, some things never change. 

"You, Cancer?" I asked, knowing her answer.

Cancer rolls her eyes. "You know mine as well," I smirked.

"Betting is setting a bad example for our classmates." Iida made those hand motions.

"I can't help it. It's funny." I shrugged and went back to the match. Midoriya already had a broken finger and had just broken another one, wasn't both fingers on Todoroki's ice attacks. Todoroki made some ice behind himself, most likely to make sure that if Midoriya used his quirk against him he had a guard against all the ice.

Then Kirishima comes and starts complaining about how Todoroki and Bakugo can fire off as many blasts as they want without getting tired. Then Bakugo went on about how quirks are just muscles, and they too have limits.

Midoriya breaks two more fingers, and Todoroki says something to him. "It's a shame we can't hear what they're saying." Cap frowned.

Midoriya uses his quirk with his entire arm this time, which makes sense since Todoroki's most recent attack was much stronger than his past ones.

Using Bakugo's talk about how quirks were just muscles I scanned Todoroki for any sign that he was either slowing down or was getting hit with a drawback. There was only one thing I could see. Todoroki had bits of ice covering his right side. They were probably making him colder, and that was most likely the drawback with his ice side.

Todoroki sends more ice at Midoriya, expecting him to be done since both arms are broken. But there's another gust of wind from Midoriya. I look closer to see that Midoriya has used one of his broken fingers. "Everyone's giving their all! And you're going to win with just half your power?!" Midoriya yelled at the half-and-half boy. 

This time, Midoriya went on the offensive. He used his quirk on his arm, and then punched Todoroki in the stomach. I sucked in a breath at this. Midoriya's quirk is really strong, he could definitely break something of Todoroki's if he really wanted to. Plus, it looked like he didn't have much control over his quirk so he could hurt Todoroki by accident.

Midoriya has broken all his fingers twice already. This time, he uses his thumb. But he can't make a fist so he uses...his mouth.

He blasts Todoroki away again.

Todoroki and Midoriya are still fighting but Todoroki looks so...absent-minded. Like, he's here in the arena, but his head isn't really here.

One second he's gone, and the next Todoroki is here. With his fire. The big roaring orange flames warm my face, and my eyes widen. I smile.

"SHOTOOOO! So, you've finally accepted it! Yes, this is excellent! It all starts now for you!" Endeavor continued what I guess is congratulating his son?

"A sudden pep talk from Mr. Endeavor, what a doting parent!" Present Mic said into the microphone that was completely unnecessary with his quirk.

Then Midoriya smiles. I quirk an eyebrow. He must be crazy. 

Both Midoriya and Todoroki gather up all their power. "Midnight!" Cementoss yelled out while putting a blocky gray hand on the ground to put a barrier between the two teens. Midnight gets the message and opens a hole in the fabric of her hero costume.
