Chapter 45-Leo

I couldn't concentrate on my homework anymore. It felt like my blood was boiling from my anger. Scorpio was going too far. I was fine with her ghosting me. That's a lie, I'm not fine with her ghosting me, but I can deal with it. But for her to do this?

Whenever Sagittarius tried to talk to her about anything, she wouldn't acknowledge her presence. Scorpio would just keep talking over her. She would respond to neither my nor Sag's texts. It was increasingly annoying. So, I've decided to finally get back at her.

Instead of wasting any more time trying to concentrate on algebra, I pulled Kaminari's number out of the class group chat and started to draft up a message.

Hello???

I tucked my phone into my pocket. I dug out a black hoodie from the back of my closet, not having used that thing since who-knows-when, and putting it on. There wasn't an easy way to get to the back of the dorm building before Kaminari without him seeing me. I sighed. When had things come to this? By this I mean me climbing down from the third floor of the dorm room, to get to the back of the dorm building before Kaminari got there.

When the bottom was in sight, and I was sure I wouldn't sustain any injuries if I jumped, I silently jumped down, landing on my feet as silent as a cat. 

I pulled my hood over my head so that Kaminari didn't know how I was when he first spotted me. Speak of the devil and he shall arrive. 

I spotted his yellow hair from a mile away. He had also decided to put on a hoodie, going the opposite direction as me, choosing to wear a sunshine yellow drawstring sweater. He jogged a little closer and spotted my face under my hoodie. "Leo? What's wrong? What did you need to tell me?" He asked. Out of the corner of my eye, I thought I saw a shadow move, but it must've been a trick of the light filtering out of some of the dorm rooms.

"I wanted to tell you something about Scorpio. I didn't want her, or any of her friends to overhear, because I don't know what she'll do if she hears this, but she's a manipulator." I said, with a somber tone. What I said wasn't much of a lie. The Scorpio sign is known to be an emotional manipulator.

Kaminari cocked his head to the side like a confused puppy. "What do you mean?" 

I sighed as if I really didn't want to go through this with him. What can I say, I'm a good actress. "Well...Scorpio is an emotional manipulator. Back at our old school, Aldera Middle School, Scorpio would get with a boy, play around with his emotions for fun, and then dump him. She would get with a boy, and dump him, every single month. Every boy she got with would think that he was the one, the one that was finally going to win over her heart, but in the end, all she would do was break another heart, and leave them emotionally scarred. She would do this again, and again." I said, pausing to take in his reaction. He looked confused. I smirked on the inside. This was working.

"Why are you telling me this?" He asked, revealing nothing in his tone of voice, although his emotions were written all over his face.

"Because I've noticed that she's taking a liking to you. She's around a lot more than she normally is with new people. She probably just wants a challenge after Aldera. I'm just trying to warn you, because I don't want her to rip your heart out and mutilate it, before shoving it back in. Scorpio may seem sweet, and kind, but you haven't seen the real side of her yet. And don't you ever wonder why she doesn't tell you anything? She's secretive and obsessive, and you haven't seen how bad she can get." Internally, I smirked. Now the seeds of madness were planted and it was only a matter of time before he would start questioning her. Before he would realize that she's an awful person, who doesn't deserve him.

"Is that all?" Kaminari asked. I nodded, and he left me. I watched him go. I turned to go back to my own dorm room when the sound of branches cracking and the rustling of leaves behind me caught my attention. 

I turned around to see Gemini. He was wearing a black hoodie, like me, that was covered in leaves, probably from the bush that he was just hiding in. That must've been what I thought was moving before. "You're playing with fire, Leo." He warned, his voice low.

"I play with fire all the time."

"Don't get cocky." Gemini cautioned.

"Whatever." After I was sure that there was no one going to pop out of the bushes after Gemini, I went back inside to my own dorm room. Perhaps now I can focus on my algebra homework.

My phone dinged while I was doing my algebra packet, but I was powering through the packet and didn't want to stop just to check a notification, which was probably just another follower on social media. 

When I finished I put the algebra homework aside and took my phone out, and the notification wasn't just another follower. It was Scorpio.

Right as I was about to reply to her, there was a pounding on my door, as if someone was using my door as a punching bag. I opened the door to see a furious Scorpio. To the naked eye, Scorpio looked impassive, indifferent to everything happening around her, but I had known her for nine years, I could read her emotions well enough. I could see her gritting her teeth, and her nails digging into her palm. "What's up?" I asked innocently.

"I can be mean as fuck, sweet as candy, cold as water, evil as hell, or loyal as a soldier. It all depends on you. So don't start manipulating people because you want to throw a temper tantrum." Scorpio hissed, and then turned around, and swung the door closed.
