Izuku looked at the two masked men at the counter, the terrified cashier, the three other masked people in the aisles and then down at the money he held. Oh boy. Well, first thing's first.
"She better have given me enough for my own food" he muttered, turning down an aisle and picking up a bag of chips for Mirko and a packaged cupcake for Kanga. He scooted around one of the still shocked villains to grab himself a box of Pocky. "Excuse me" he told the woman standing at the coolers politely, making a motion for her to move. She silently stepped aside and he opened the fridge, grabbing a mineral water, lemonade and a Ramune, spotting a few hostages behind the racks tied up in the freezer room making frantic eye contact with him. He winked and shut the door, heading for the counter. I should call for backup... he placed his items on the counter before looking over at the two men looming next to him "Oh, sorry. Were you guys in line?" the men looked at each other with visible confusion That's right motherfuckers. You have no idea what the hell is going on now do you ha HA!!
"Uh, no" one of them rumbled as they scooted over "Go right on ahead kid." Izuku gave them a cute smile and waited for the cashier to ring him up, tension and awkwardness in the air so thick he could practically touch it. The cashier looked at Midoriya desperately for help as he scanned the items but the teen pretended he didn't see it, humming and rocking on his heels impatiently. Come on dude, I don't want to be here anymore than you do. The man finished bagging the items and shakily handed Izuku the plastic bag as the boy gave him the money, drumming his fingers on the counter as he waited for change
"R-receipt?" the cashier stammered, silently pleading with Izuku to do something as he gave him back his money. Relax man, I got this
"Nope!" Midoriya replied cheerily, sort of enjoying the despair on the cashier's face as he took his change, bag and headed to the doors. There was a loud explosion and he peered out the window at the wave of people heading towards them Shit. If its escalated this much I can't call for backup. He groaned and thumped his head on the glass Of course. A distraction to keep the heroes busy while the real crime happens behind the scenes. He straightened up Let's get this show on the road. "Seriously?" he whined, looking through the window trying to get a better look and silently locking the store doors. "Ugh, there's no way I'm going out in that right now." He noticed the villains tensed at this so he turned to the cashier shyly "Hey, you got a back door or something? I really don't want to deal with that crowd right now" The cashier lit up at the escape opportunity
"Y-yes! I can show you-"
"We'll show him sir." One of the villains in the corner piped up, heading towards the backroom as the other villains snickered softly "Come on kid" Perfect! Oh you're just handing yourself to me on a silver platter!~
"Really?!" Midoriya exclaimed, skipping after him with his bag "Thank you so much! That's very kind of you!" the man opened the backroom door, holding it open mockingly for Izuku to enter first "Such a gentleman" he giggled, heading into the dim room and slipping out a small pistol of his own design from his vest, keeping it out of view of the man behind him
"Come on kid" the man scoffed as the doors shut behind them "You can't possibly be this stupid. Coming in here dressed like a hero-" Izuku let out a mocking laugh, green eyes almost black in the dark room as they looked over at the foolish villain
"I'm the stupid one?" he drawled, turning fully and gun behind his back "Didn't anyone ever teach you not to go into dark rooms with strangers?" the man tensed, surprised at the sudden change in character
"Wha-" one gunshot later and the man was tottering. Izuku set aside his snacks and caught the falling man before he could crash into a shelf and alert the others. Well at least now I know the tranquilizers work. Oof, you're a heavy son of a bitch aren't you? He dragged the villain to a supply closet and unceremoniously shoved the unconscious man in it, barring the door with a broom handle and a chair. He dusted his hands off
