"Pish-posh my good man!" Hatsume dismissed with an excited gleam in her eyes "He'll be fine!"
"Yeah! I'll be fine!" Izuku chirped, crouching down "Okay Mei, how do I activate these?"
"Your funeral." The boy shrugged "Test # 27 of item #3 by Midoriya Izuku and Hatsume Mei" He stated as he set up the camera "Assisted by Ezume Mitsuko"
"Button on the side" she told him, going behind the desk of computers with Ezume "After that, it should be able to read your muscle signals and release the potential energy you've gathered up."
"Got it" he responded tapping his new boots on the side and preparing to leap
"That or it'll blow your legs off" Hatsume warned, a little more quietly
"Wait what-" Izuku started before being shot into the air with a powerful blast and crashed into the ceiling
"Ooh!" the two support students winced as a small shower of plaster fell from above
"Maybe find a way to regulate how much energy is outputted?" Mei theorized, glancing over at the stats on the screen
"Yeah, I don't think having it release 100% of its energy at a 100% charge is very efficient" Ezume agreed, tapping away on the keyboard "We need to find a way to release it little by little otherwise the boots are gonna be once and done before having to charge again, which I believe isn't the intended purpose"
"Maybe if we add multiple energy packs instead of just one large one!" Hatsume suggested
"That might work-"
"Um, guys?!" Midoriya cried from the ceiling, his upper half completely swallowed up in the plaster "A little help?!!"
"Just a sec Izu!" Mei called back, helping her classmate with the calculations "So I was wondering if-"
"Okay well can you at least call someone to get me down?!! I think my legs are broken!!" his muffled protests warned
"Hey! His legs didn't blow off like in the simulations!" Ezume cheered
"Score!!" Hatsume laughed as the two high-fived triumphantly
"I'm just gonna call Kacchan" Izuku sighed, a hand blindly patting his pockets for his phone and drawing it up into the hole "OH GOD!! OH HOLY CRAP THERE ARE SPIDERS EVERYWHERE UP HERE!! MEI!!!! EZUME!!! GET ME DOWN!! THEY'RE CRAWLING ALL OVER ME!!!" his legs kicked frantically "GUYS I'M NOT JOKING!!! SERIOUSLY!! HELP!! HEEEELLLLPPP!!!!"
"In a bit!!" Mei answered, oblivious to the trouble her partner was in
"KACCHAN!! THIRTEEN SENSEI!! POWERLOADER!! ANYBODY!! JUST GET ME OUT OF THIS GATEWAY TO HELL!!!"
"Hang on!" Ezume huffed "We're almost done!"
"NOT FUNNY!!" he shrieked "KACCHAN!! OH THANK GOD YOU PICKED UP!! I'M IN THE TESTING LAB STUCK IN THE CEILING WITH A BUNCH OF HELLSPAWN ALL AROUND ME!! GET ME OUT!! STOP LAUGHING!! I AM DEAD SERIOUS MAN!! I'M THIS CLOSE TO FALLING A GOOD 5 METERS TO MY DEATH OR GETTING EATEN ALIVE BY SPIDERS!!"
"Izuku! You mind keeping it down? We can't concentrate!" Mei called out, slightly annoyed
"I'M GOING TO SKIN THE BOTH OF YOU IF I GET OUT OF THIS ALIVE!!!"
