A.N~ early update!!
"Welcome back guys!!" Thirteen greeted their class as they walked in that morning "I hope you all had a nice break" they glanced up to look at a certain student "Midoriya, did you get your arm checked by Recovery Girl this morning?"
"Yup!" Izuku chirped, waving his right arm and wiggling his fingers "I'm all set to go!!"
"Glad to hear it" Thirteen nodded "Hitoshi, how are you holding up?" the boy simply held a thumbs up as a response, head buried in his arm and only half-awake
"I'm good." He yawned "I'm just really tired. My mother is a demon making me work on a three-day weekend and not even letting me sleep in is she really a mother how could she do that to her own son and then all the food we might as well have just given it to the neighbors god there was so much..." he continued rambling so Thirteen ignored him
"Well, as you all know, some of you have gotten some scouts!!" They announced. The class buzzed excitedly, all of them shifting in their seats in anticipation "But first..." Thirteen pulled out a small confetti popper and set it off, spraying miniature streamers and colorful flakes of paper all over their desk. Everyone but a very confused Midoriya and startled Hitoshi followed suit with hidden poppers of their own "CONGRATULATIONS MIDORIYA-KUN AND HITOSHI-KUN ON GETTING TRANSFERRED TO THE HERO COURSE!!!" They cheered
"CONGRATULAIONS!!!" the class chorused, with more confetti and cheering. Izuku and Shinsou sat there in shock, mouths open and blinking around at the chaos around them
"After internships I can finally hand you over to Aizawa" Thirteen chuckled. The two boys looked at each other and then back at their teacher
"S-sensei" Hitoshi stammered, shakily getting to his feet "You- you're not joking... right?"
"I would never joke about this" Thirteen assured "There were two spots ready for the taking in the Hero course and your performances at the Sports Festival fully convinced the board to let you two have them. After the internships, you'll officially be a part of 1-A."
"Oh my god" Izuku whispered, eyes welling up with tears "Sou-chan, do you know what this means??!"
"You two are heading for your dreams!" Hanako grinned
"Don't forget us with all your heroing!" Atsushi teased
"Yeah!" Hikaru yelled over the noise "1-A may have you now, but you'll always be a part of 1-C!!"
"We're gonna be heroes" Shinsou said softly, taking his seat and looking over at Izuku "OH MY GOD!!"
"WE'RE IN THE HERO COURSE!!" Midoriya shrieked, tears running down his face as he launched himself over his desk to tackle the boy sitting in front of him with a hug "SOU-CHAN WE MADE IT!!!"
"HOLY SHIT!!" Hitoshi cried, also beginning to cry as he hugged Midoriya back "HOLY- WE MADE IT??!!" their classmates all leaped up from their seats and joined the group hug, each one of them giving the two sobbing teens plenty of reassurances and encouragements
"Aw come on Midoriya-kun!" Toyo laughed, patting his messy head soothingly "Stop crying! You're supposed to be happy!!"
"I a-am!!" he bawled, trying to rub away the flood of tears "But I'm g-gonna m-misss yo-you guyssss!!!" he started crying harder, which in turn made the recovering Hitoshi break down all over again
"What are you talking about silly?!" Tetsip chuckled, although looking like he also wanted to cry "Last we checked you're not moving across the country!! Just down the hall a bit! We'll still see you at lunch and in the labs!"
