Diamonds in the Rough *INDEFINITE HIATUS*

First Round

"Did you see that?!" Bakugo cackled, pointing out a poor competitor that had just gotten run over by a large ball

"Aren't you supposed to be with your class Bakugo-kun?" Hanako chuckled nervously

"Nah" the blonde leaned back in his seat and propped his feet up on the barrier "You guys leave me alone"

"KACCHAN!" Izuku yelled from below and the blonde peered over the edge, turning his aids back on "I NEED ONE OF YOUR HEARING AIDS!"

"WHAT THE FUCK FOR?!" he snapped back

"IT'S MY ITEM!" He held up his tablet and his friend begrudgingly took off one of his aids

"BREAK THAT AND YOU'RE FUCKING PAYING FOR IT!" he warned before tossing it to the boy who caught it gently "AND STOP RUNNING AROUND! YOU'RE WASTING YOUR ENERGY!"

"THANKS!!" Midoriya ran off and Katsuki settled back into his seat

"God why can't this day be over already?" He grumbled, closing his eyes and turning off his remaining aid to block out the crowd.

"AND NOW THE MOMENT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR!!" Present Mic announced, "THE INFAMOUS U.A ONE-ON-ONE TOURNAMENT!!!! ARE YOU GUYS READY?!! YOU'VE ALL BEEN THROUGH HELL TO GET HERE AND NOW YOU'VE ONLY GOT YOURSELF TO COUNT ON!!"

"Technique, strength, wisdom and knowledge" Aizawa continued "You must use all of these in the fights ahead and perform your very best"

"COULDN'T HAVE SAID IT BETTER MYSELF!!" Mic said "IT'S TIME FOR THE FIRST MATCH!! DESPITE BEING IN GENERAL STUDIES, OUR FIRST CONTENDER MAKING AN IMPACT ON ALL OF US IS NONE OTHER THAN MIDORIYA IZUKU VERSUS OUR VERY OWN HERO COURSE KIDDO, MINA ASHIDO!!!"

The two students stepped forward into the ring, grinning and waving to the cheering audience

"THE RULES ARE PRETTY SIMPLE!! YOU WIN BY KNOCKING THE OTHER OUT OF THE RING, IMMOBILIZING THEM OR GETTING THEM TO SURRENDER!! DON'T BE AFRAID ABOUT HAVING TO HOLD BACK!! WE HAVE OUR WONDERFUL NURSE ON STANDBY!! FIGHT DIRTY IF YOU GOTTA!!" Izuku's smile widened a little more and Mina began to look more nervous "OF COURSE, GOING FOR THE KILL IS A BIG NO-NO AND YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED"

"I'll be here to make sure nothing like that happens" Cementoss reassured, making himself a throne out of cement to watch over the ring

"Cowards." The two of them huffed

"Hey, no hard feelings One-chan?" Izuku fretted

"Of course not" she grinned back "Don't hold out on me o-toto"

"START!!!!"

Izuku slipped into a fighting stance and a dark look slipped over his face as he grinned ferally, pulling out a baton and extending it in one swipe

"Good. I won't." He lunged forward and with one leap was in front of the pink girl, smiling wildly and baton raised to strike

"Shit!" she yelped, barely dodging out of the way in time as Izuku brought down the weapon with blinding speed, cracking the cement where she'd been standing "What the fuck O-toto?!"

"You told me not to hold back" he giggled, smile still wide as he approached his friend "I plan to win Mina. So hold still!" he lept again, crossing the distance in an instant and swinging, narrowly avoiding hitting the girl

"RIGHT AWAY MIDORIYA IS GOING ALL OUT!! THIS IS GONNA BE ONE INTENSE FIGHT!!"

"God! I forgot how fucking scary you are in a fight!" she shuddered, slinging globs of acid at his feet in order to make him jump back. He threw his baton at her feet in retaliation, which she easily jumped over. Izuku simply laughed, bringing out another baton from under his shirt and throwing that one at her head. She ducked and rolled out of the way "Ha! Now you don't have any-" he pulled out his pole and extended it to about 6 feet, spinning it gracefully and sliding a foot back to steady himself "SON OF A BITCH!!"
