Shinsou managed to drag the girl out, propping her up and leading her away.

"Wait" she croaked "Your friend" He looked behind him in worry at the too close for comfort machine and the tiny human climbing it.

"I-I'm sure he'll be fin-" the robot creaked and groaned, leg buckling under it. "Oh god what is he doing??!" she pushed him off and limped over as fast as possible

"We have to help!" she panted. "We can't leave him!"

"Crap. I gotta go save this idiot and barely have any points to top it off," he muttered and followed after her. "Can you use your quirk?" she hesitated and the zero-pointer crashed into a nearby building

"I'll overload it if I use it agai-" they looked up, saw a screaming green dot careening towards the ground and locked eyes fearfully.

"Do it."

Izuku always hated falling. And as someone who parkoured, he tried not to fall a lot. But this time he knew for a fact Hisoki and the others wouldn't be there to catch him. I'm gonna die. That's it. Let's face it Izuku old boy. There's no way you're getting out of this one aliv- A hand slapped his face as he dropped, stopping him mere feet from the pavement below. He looked up and saw Shinsou holding up the gravity girl, both of them perched on a levitating robot's head. She shakily brought her finger pads together

"Re-release" she gasped out and everything fell, including Midoriya. Hitoshi patted her back gently as the girl promptly threw up all over the side. He left her there to finish up privately and hopped down to rush over to Izuku.

"Are you okay?" he fretted. Midoriya waved him off with a small groan as he sat up

"I'm fine, I'm fine" he panted "Are you two okay?? Are you hurt?? Did everyone get out in time?? Is she sick because of me? Did she overuse her qui-"

"She'll be fine" Shinsou reassured, looking over at the tired girl.

"Oh thank god" he breathed, tears beginning to well up. "You guys saved me. I would've honestly died if-"

"AND THAT'S IT!! IT'S ALL OVER!!" Shinsou froze in horror. Izuku noticed this through his tears.

"Sou-chan... how many points did you get?" he asked softly. Hitoshi just gave a small, wobbly smile.

"Like three" he answered just as quiet. The two boys stared at each other before Midoriya completely broke down, apologizing over and over about how if he'd just been more careful or more insistent on him taking the bat or helping him get points "Hey, what's done is done" he chuckled sadly "I wouldn't have made it pretty far in a fight with my quirk anyway" This just set the other boy crying louder about how it wasn't fair that his amazing quirk wasn't showcased in this stupid test.

The other examinees began to make their way sheepishly back, surprised at the sight of a girl practically passed out on a robot head, the feisty boy from the beginning sobbing and his dead looking friend trying to calm him down.

"Did he really take that thing down by himself?"

"What was his quirk to let him attack at the gimmick like that?"

"He doesn't have one."

"No way!"

"Yeah, I heard him yell something about a quirkless wonder right before stealing my points"
