Daniel's Pov.

As I brought her into the brick building; she fell silent. I glanced at her and she looked lifeless, so I stopped quickly and checked he vitals. She was fine; what I didn't know was that Victor was standing right in back of me. I tried my best to protect Angie, but I wasn't quick enough. I felt an unbelievable amount of pain on the back of my skull. My head throbbed as I drifted into darkness.

When I awoke, I was alone. I felt a large, compacted bump on my head as I rubbed the welt. My mouth hung open as I realized Angie wasn't here.

"Oh, shit." I swore. I knew that if we didnt get her back soon, she could die. I ran to the pack as quickly as possible to find Vicky and the others. When I got back, everyone was still at the house where I had left them.

"Vicky, we have a problem."

"Daniel, please. We dont have time to hear about your love life. Is this about Angie again?" She crossed her arms in front of her chest and gave me a look.

"It is about Angie, but this time she's in trouble." I wasn't going to lie; I was worried about her.

"what's her location?" Vicky sighed.

"Thunder point."

"Are you kidding?! No way are we going there. You know what happened last time I was there."

"Ya, but can't we send one of the other packs to save her....? Hint hint....Cherika and Ryan."

"I'll try my best... but perhaps they can since they have Micah. I'll get in touch with them and let them know." I gave her a smile.

"Thanks."

"Don't thank me, Ryan's the one who is gonna look out for her. Us werewolves and hybrids stay in touch. If there's one thing I know, it's that Ryan and Cherika will do anything to help."

Angie's Pov.

I pulled myself from Micah's reassuring hug. He looked down at me with a questioned look.

"We should get dressed."

"Yeah....want to go for a walk to the lake after breakfast?" He smiled at me.

"Sure." I always wondered what it would be lime to go and escape the real world and go on an adventure.

After we got dressed and ate, we walked along a pebbled dirt path along a river. It was quiet and peaceful. When we got to the lake, it was noon. My feet ached and I felt happy. Happy that I was with Micah. I stood at the shore line with my bare feet among the warm, soft sand.

"It's beautiful. Isn't it?"

"Yeah, I've never seen anything like it." I watched the sapphire waves tumble and crash against the sand.

"When I was younger, this was my favorite spot. To think. To calm down. To clear my thoughts." He explained. "Do you ever wonder what it's like to be someone you aren't?"

"Like put yourself in another's point of view?"

"Exactly, yes. Do you?"

"Me? No."

"Why not?"

"Because I don't see the need to." There was a moment of silence after I said what I did.

"Well you should try it sometime." He looked towards the horizon and smiled to himself.

"What?"

"What, what?"

"Why are you smiling?"

"Because I know that I'm one lucky guy."

"How so?" I had a confused look on my face which probably looked pretty hilarious. I'm not that good at making faces at people.

"Because I'm standing next to the most beautiful girl I have ever laid eyes upon." His eyes were piercing into mine. My low heartbeat sped up as he leaned closer. There were inches between us; centimeters. I knew I would have to decide if I was or was not going to kiss him. I knew it was up to me; I could either go and kiss this handsome boy or turn away. I have decided.
