I leaned in, closing the remaining space between us. Our lips met and fireworks sparked in my half cold soul. After a few seconds, we both slowly pulled away.

"Spring." I smiled.

"So she does have a favorite." He smiled back.

"Yup." I said popping the P. He rubbed the back of his neck with his hand.

"We should get ready to go. It's almost time." I nodded and walked to the mud room. I slipped on my Ugg boots and grabbed my blue jean jacket from the coat rack. I turned around to look up at a pair of gorgeous eyes.

"You ready?" He asked.

"I guess." I shrugged my shoulders. I didn't know what to expect. But I was about to find out.

We got into the truck and Micah drove us along a path through the woods. It was dark and cold. The path looked old enough, like no one had used it for ages. After about five minutes, we reached an open area. Micah got out and I followed, checking the time; 11:52 p.m. we walked down a cemented old stairway that led us underground. There was dust everywhere as we walked through a dark, bricked hallway. We came upon a gated entrance of which Micah squeaked open. A lantern was lit to brighten up the cold, cemented room. Chains were on the floor of when Micah came to set up for himself.

"Ok, so this is where me, the angry wolf will be chained up," he began, as he gestured towards to room. He led me to an iron door. "And this is where you, the sweet little half vamp will be staying while I transform." He explained while opening the thick door. The room wasn't too big nor too small. There was just enough space for me and the few blankets and pillows he had brought. There was also a small peephole in the middle of the door. I nodded.

"Cool." I said casually, looking at the space from top to bottom.

"Good. I'm going to start getting chained up, while you can grab your snacks from the bag over there and get comfortable in the safe zone." He said pointing towards a green bag.

"Ok." I walked over to the bag as the noise of chains and locking of locks echoed through the underground room. I grabbed the bag and brought it over to my "safe zone' as Micah called it. I sat down and watched as Micah chained himself over and over again. I opened a bag of cheetos and grabbed a bottled water from the bag.
Micah clipped the last of the chains to what looked like steel studs in the ground.

"Will that really hold you?" I asked.

"It should. Now close the door. I should be changing soon." I nodded, yet again and got up from my seated position. I closed the door slowly, but surely, until it latched shut.

"Now lock the deadbolt." Micah yelled from outside the door. I followed his instructions.

"Ok, done." I shouted.

"Now don't come out what ever happens until I'm done with the transformation." I sat back down, munching on the snacks and drinking the water. All of a sudden, I hear Micah yell, bones snap, then a low growl. Then, silence.

The chains rattled as they were yanked left, right, this way and that. Clawing came from outside the door. I was terrified. Do I dare look through the peephole? What was I expecting g to see if I did? I wondered.

I looked through the peephole and saw something. A monster. A creature. A black wherewolf. With eyes of another color. Was this really truly Micah?
