We entered the cold, dark mansion. Our footsteps sounded as they met the floor with each step. We took a turn that led to the dungeon, where I was when I first woke up in this place. I stopped as we entered the cold, dark room.

"Dont be afraid, we're just here to complete the transition." Alex said. Our gaze met and his eyes had a sincere look to them. As we neared the chair, I saw that the whole, family, (as they called it) was crowded around near the chair.

"There you are." Victor said, throwing his hands in the air.

"Here we are." Alex replied with a half smile. Although the smile didn't look real. It was like he was pretending to do so.

Why is he pretending? Isn't he always around these people....monsters....rather? What is he trying to hide from them?

I smiled politely to Victor. "Hi again."

"Hello Angie."

I hopped upon the chair and prepared myself for my death.....or pre-death that is. I guess I dont know what to call it.  Sarah handed Victor a cup made of what looked like platinum. It had something in it, but I wasn't sure what.

"You have to drink this human blood to complete the transition. Then and only then will we know what to do next.

As the cup of blood came closer to my lips, I felt the urge to kill. My body filled with rage. I felt that emptiness again. But I felt powerful. Fearless. Like I could do anything. A different type of blood pumped through my veins. Cold, dark, different. I didn't feel human anymore. As the cup came to the opening of my lips, I gulped the liquid down. I felt as if I NEEDED more. As if the cup wasn't enough.

"More. I need more!" I was grasping for more. I felt like a switch was turned on. A switch that I couldn't escape.

"Angie. Take it easy. I know how hard this is. You have to control the feeling, the urge for more blood. It won't be easy but you'll make it." I heard Victor say.

"I can't. I need more. More!" At this point, I was yelling and some how everyone managed to get me in a firm enough grip to strap me in so I couldn't escape. Not even if I tried.

They all just stared. Like I was a different species. Like I was an animal on crack. I was everywhere. Screaming, crying, yelling, doing everything I could to get more. I was suffering and they were doing nothing to stop it. I felt this unbelievable pain in my heart. Like someone stuck their hand through my chest and ripped out my heart. I felt pain everywhere. My eyes, my mouth, my hands, my arms, my legs; everything. I knew I was dying on the outside. But inside, part of me knew that somewhere, somehow, there was still a little bit of humanity left. I felt a sharp pain in one of my shoulders as I drifted off into a deep sleep. I guess I know what happened to me.

I am a monster.
