After we finished eating, it was only about 7:45pm which meant only about 4 more hours until I had to lock myself into the house and try (keyword try) and keep myself away from Micah. We sat there on the couch; staring into open space. On opposite ends. Until he broke the silence.
"While I was in the woods, getting ready for tonight...I heard a distance call." He began. I gave him a confused look. "A distance call is how us where wolves keep in contact from miles away. My mom said something along the lines of the vamps. They know you are missing now, which means we-I have to keep you as close as possible and as hidden as possible. God only knows what will happen if they actually do find you before we get the antidote or I turn you." I stared at him in shock.
"Okay...so what does that mean?"
"It means that you have to stay with me at all times. You will have to stay in the iron door locked room next to where I'll be chained up. But you can't come out-what ever the case."
"Okay."
"But don't worry. You will be safe with me." He smiled. I just rolled my eyes.
"Ya, safe with a wherewolf who will stop at nothing to rip me apart if he sees me."
"That's only if you aren't in the iron room."
"Ah, got it." I said nodding my head.
"So, 20 questions?"
"What?"
"Its a game to play when you're bored and want to get to know someone."
"And what makes you think that I'd want to get to know you?"
"Hmm, let me think. We are both bored, I have to protect and watch over you, and we can't go anywhere because of the vamps."
"Ugh," I sighed. "Point made. So how do we play?"
"Each of us takes turns asking eachother questions until we get to 20. It's pretty straight foward."
"Okay. Do you want to go first?"
"Ladies first."
"Okay...?" I gave him a questioned look. "Favorite place and why?"
"The cliff on the top of Wolf Mountain on a full moon. It's the only time you'll ever see the sky purple. It's so peaceful and beautiful."
"Cool." I smiled.
"Favorite season?"
"Hmm. Spring or fall."
"Nope, gotta choose one."
"Who says?"
"I do that's who." He stood up, pretending to be all manly.
"Oh yeah?" I asked as I stood up and walked to face him.-well, his abs anyways-I was 5"3 and he was like...what? 6"1? I was pretty short and had to look up to meet his eyes. Silence fell upon us for what seemed like forever. I was stuck in a trance in his eyes. It felt like I was lost in a maze and couldn't find a way out. He took his hand and brushed one of my brown locks of hair back. Was he going to kiss me? I was already falling head over heels with this boy. He's tried to kiss me before and I keep turning him down. He leaned in a little then stopped. I felt like it was because of me. Because I was the one who kept turning him down. Was this my chance? Should I kiss him? Or should I turn down the boy that I'm possibly in love with?
