"Rise and shine!" A voice said.
"Ugh. What time is it?" I mumbled.
"Late enough. Come on, breakfast is downstairs waiting for you." I looked where the voice was coming from, and found Sarah opening the blue curtains, letting in the warm, bright sunlight through the window.
I got out of bed and arranged the pillows, blue comfetor, and sheets to attempt to make the bed. I put on a white tank top, blue skinny jeans, a light gray sweatshirt, and a pair of dark, black boots that reached my ankles. I reached for the door knob, it's hinges creaking, as I opened the wooden door. I started walking down the dark hallway towards the dining room.
Victor was sitting in the far, head chair, with Sarah to his left, Josh to his right, and Alex was next to Josh. Their eyes landed on me as I walked into the room, taking a seat next to Sarah and across from Alex.
A few servants, I guess they had called them, poured water into each of our glasses, and placed food upon our plates. The smell of eggs and raw meat filled the air. As everyone started placing food in their mouths, I sat stationary. I didn't feel right. I couldn't eat raw meat and eggs together. Or at least I didn't think I could.
"Aren't you going to eat? You need your strength after last night." Victor said.
"Oh yeah." I replied. I don't know why, but I had for got that I was one of them now. I was a monster. A demon. Something that I couldn't change. What's done is done. Now I have to deal with it. "Who changed me?" I asked.
"Into your clothes or into one of us?" Asked Josh. I realized that someone had changed me from my clothes into my pajamas last night. O.M.G. How could I not be awake while that was happening?!
"Both." My eyes flew wide open, alarmed and confused at the same time.
"Well, Victor changed you into one of us, for starters," Alex explained. "And Sarah changed your clothes." I was thankful that none of the guys changed me, or this conversation would just be very weird and uncomfortable. For all of us.
"Why would you change me in the first place? Into this.....this.....beast, this horrible monster?! Why did you have to pick me?" I felt my eyes burning, warm tears stung my cold, pale cheeks. I stood up from my chair quickly, and as fast as I could, I ran through the hall to the outside. I heard someone running after me, but I didn't stop running away. I needed time to think. To get the fact that I was a monster and that I can't go back to being a human through my skull. I ran into a wooded forest. The smell of pine and sap filled the air as a light breeze blew through the trees. My feet thumped across the hollowed pine needle ground as I ran. I finally had to stop to catch my breath. Leaning against a tree's bumpy bark, I felt a cramp, a really bad one, start to ache in my lower back.
"Ugh." I sighed, still trying to catch my breath. I heard a twig snap in the distance, my head suddenly turned towards the sound. I didn't see anyone, but I could hear a heartbeat, pumping blood through veins.
"Who's there?" I asked to my surroundings. I heard a low growl. Some leaves rustled near a tree a few feet away. The wind syarted to pick up and howl through the wooded forest. My feet shuffled upon the dead leaves.
"Hello?" I asked to nothing. Or so I though was nothing.
